Far Cry 3 seems to echo alot of games in that they're afraid to have a lull in storytelling. The pace is always a neverending rush of adrenaline. Far Cry 2 had great pacing that made the few insane set-pieces much more dramatic, instead of anodine from repeatition.

Me too, i've taken alot of screenshots that look lovely in DX11 but... maybe it's like Lacabra said about the agrevating HUD.

I went to an east coast radio tower to unlock it early in the game and the sky went grey and it started raining so it can happen. but it wasnt a full-on monsoon like i'd hoped, and would of befitted a south Pacific Archaepeligo. I play Far Cry 3 for an hour and it makes me play Far Cry 2 for 2 hours out of missing the realism. God i love Far Cry 2.

i couldnt agree more. its nice its done in engine, but even Half life gives you a bit of wiggle-room in the vut scenes like when your forced to stand and watch the Vorts reanimate Alyx.

Surerly it's the satire of modern life through the media gaze. i don't condone real-world relation to your points, but i love GTA for hilighting them so caustically and dry.

I, sir, strongly disagree with your words. RDR was the most eventful open world game i have known. i spent 2/3 of that game wondering about and people would come up to me with side missions like the underlying serial killer stuff, or animals. The knightmare DLC was rife with that. finding a bloke burying his dead sick wife only for her to rise from the grave, he involuntarily shoot her - cry at his actions - and shoot himself , before i could get there to intervene.

Actually Rome 2 can run on pretty weak hardware from what CA have said. So could Shogun 2. The Creative Assembly have been banging on about it being available for all the last year of PR. Obviously we're talking features-wise, I tried Shogun 2 on minimal and it looked like shogun 1. I disagree personally. i spent more hours in Napoleon than Rome, and for good reason. It's such a polished game that's persistantly overlooked and a stop-gap.

It aint all it's cracked up to be. Some high-and-a-low is better than never having a high at all, especially with a ticking body-clock. as @Subbles, said the root cause it's chemicals and we can't control that.
