I second that. I really enjoyed Heavy Rain and i remember thinking at the time it would be the perfect game for my non game playing girlfriend. Not sure if i would feel differently if i played it for the first time today. But this. Taking so much agency away from the player has left it a shallow husk. There is no challenge, no reward, and ultimately no point. Ironically the game with the least amount of soul this year is the one with two souls in the title.

So my current feeling towards this game are that it is complete dog shit I've just goggled that there is 26 chapters so i guess i'm like 60% done, i have no interest in where the story is going or how it will end I saw some promise in the first hour, but it quickly turned in to a super linear story book and now when i think back to that first hour i believe i was just hoodwinked into the illusion of choice and that there was only ever one outcome to each event. i've just read that this game does have multiple endings depending on your "choices", but honestly half the time i can't even tell if what i am doing is a choice The game has practically no fail state. I'm messing up the QTE's quite regularly as there are now no on screen prompts (you just push in the direction Jodie is already moving in, example ducking) and the only difference is you might end up with a bloody nose. I think i'll finish it, unless it does something super obnoxious, as i have nothing else to play until batman next Friday. If this game had more fail states and made me replay whole scenes again i may have quit by now.

Just watched the Graham norton show (uk chat show) with Harrison Ford and Dominic Cumberbatch as guests. It never actually passed my mind but brilliantly Graham asked them both if they were in the new star wars. They joked about it and deflected the question but no denials. I wouldn't be surprised if they had been briefed on the question. Cumberbatch was doing wookie impressions for gods sake. Anyway, Cumberbatch in Star Wars confirmed I hope he isn't the blatant bad guy in the first film, it would be such a waste. I can see him as the Sirius Snape of the Jedi academy

This morning i dreamt i bought some green face paint off the internet for Halloween which i had to go collect from the shop. The shop was my infant school where i was greeted by celebrity chef Tom Kerridge who directed me to a parking space on the grass and then meticulously made me readjust my parking until i was in the space perfectly. When i told him i was here to collect the green face paint he continued to show me around his Halloween costume shop pulling out all the green outfits to which i was to polite to tell him i just wanted the face paint. When i final asked him for the face paint he showed me to an oven where it was bubbling away in a pot (he is a celebrity chef after all) This is clearly a reference to a ding dong i had at work yesterday where a couple of months ago someone asked me to re-designer a certificate for them, it had a watercolour image of a powerboat on it, to which i replied i'm not an illustrator and they said "just stick same waves on it or something". I was too polite to tell them then that i couldn't do it, so two months later they ask me about it to which i reply "i'm not an illustrator" and they got all shitty with me. People just assume i can do fucking everything at this place, i'm not even employed in a design capacity.
