This game smacks of needing a online beta to me (Although I don't actually know how involved the online aspect of this game is). Maybe it'll be a surprise beta announcement launching this week on PSN for everyone

I think campo santo need to release a halo vidoc style promotional "making of" "behind the scenes" "look we are a much larger team than full bright and you should expect a larger more content rich piece of entertainment"... That is if it is larger and more content rich? What is Firewatch? I think a "making of" trailer showcasing James' animation and olly's art being realised in game would go along way

I think a lot of people will expect Firewatch to have a similar price point to gone home. Gone home built by a team of 3-4 people out of Steves house Firewatch built by 10-12 people out of an office in San Fransico + voice acting I expect Firewatch cost close to 10x more than it took to create Gone home (maybe I'm over exaggerating, maybe not) should it be the same price...? Do people think or even care about the production cost. I guess you pay the same for your cinema ticket to see transformers as you do a low budget indie.

PRICE POINT How much would you pay for Firewatch? I started thinking about this the other day after The Talos Principal was released on PSN for £32. That price came as a bit of a surprise to me. I'm not saying I don't think it's worth that much. I am saying, I don't know why it can demand that price point? We are predisposed to physical game pricing at retail. But how does a digital only game communicate it's worth in a trailer, a few screenshots and a bit of blurb? With the size of the team at campo santo, the past experience and talent of its team members and the time it's taken to build I'm sure Firewatch will be worth every penny of £32... But, I don't think I'd pay it :/ although, that's more about my lack of free time at the moment, I can't imagine I'll be able to dive in to it day one, and if you're not day one you might as well wait for a sale amirite. So what price do you expect to see Firewatch launch with, and will you pay it? It's difficult, as I'd imagine Firewatch is larger/more ambitions than most of the games it'll get lumped in with? But how do you communicate that to Joe blogs... Plaster lots of 5 star reviews on the front cover It's interesting that in the neogaf thread there were lots of people posting "what exactly is this game again?" "WHAT IS FIREWATCH?". Just have to hope it gets good reviews and lots of buzz around release and not get swallowed up by mirrors edge, deus ex, far cry and probably a ton of other stuff. Gulp I was hoping for a mid December release then I could've played it over the Christmas break. And it could potential get a late entry in to a lot of people's GOTY lists... It's like Oscar season for digital games! Am I talking shit now? Do GOTY articles effect sales? What was I talking about again...

He's been a little nightmare today first day of working from home whilst looking after a puppy on my own. Good god he needs a lot of attention. He kept "pretending" he needed the toilet. I've spent about half an hour today standing in the rain watching him eat cob webs and flowers. I think I need to be a heartless bastard tomorrow and keep him locked in his puppy prison for a couple hours at a time. Might actually get some work done. He liked his pigs ear, that shut him up for 15minutes. Then he contained to try a borrow a hole in the carpet.

Yeah, my friends told me to build my own. But.... 1) I haven't got a clue what I'm doing 2) I got confirmation on my new job (which is 80% working from home) at 4pm the day before i started. So my first day in the clock actually involved me rushing around buying a PC getting it set up I'll be moving my 'office' upstairs' when I buy a desk at the weekend. So yeah hopefully it want seem so load when it's under a desk (with plenty of space on each side) Now I need to buy a bloody laptop as well before Tuesday :/

So i bought a PC I've got this one: http://www.novatech.co.uk/pc/range/novatechblacknta39.html Is it a good one? What it is, is insanely load! I downloaded decibels app on my phone, holding it next on the side of the PC i get around 60dB, is that normal? ( it not the big fan at the back, i think its the little square block stuck on the motherboard???? that's making all the noise. i don't know) I'm going to contact novatech customer service see if there's anything I can do to make it quieter, or to replace that part for a quieter one.
