Overwatch - That time Blizzard made a non-Diablocraft game.
melmer replied to Henroid's topic in Video Gaming
Soooooo, is future character and map, game mode DLC going to be free? I heard a new character was being announced in the next few days, who i guess will be in the finished final game. -
There's another Big DLC thing coming out for Destiny, i thought it would be finished with it by now and moved on making on Destiny 2  If you wanted to get into Destiny you'd probably have to pick up the Taken King (which includes all DLC) which is i'd guess is more like $30

Uncharted 4 of course and bloodborne are musts. Um that's it really for exclusives. Until dawn is supposed to be good... Although i haven't played it. If you didn't have a PS3: The last of us Remastered

Tom segura on Netflix is great http://youtu.be/mwaUK2KF_oo Similar to Louis CK. A very British style of comedy, as in, harsh offensive unapologetic.

Yo, that's a tune!

I didn't miss a journal entry after all as I just got the achievement for all of them. 0.3% completion rate. Guess I'm more studious then most.

I saw the whale. There was also a dear at one point. Driving towards the volcano I missed a whole optional area. You go past one of those 'Point of no return' drops, and reached a tower overlooking a little building settlement, definitely missed a journal entry by missing it out, bit annoying that they wouldn't let you drive back to it. I got over it pretty quickly. One of my few minor foibles. I think the hard to navigate areas is an intentional part of the platforming, making it a challenge to find the route out. Then other times it'll give you three seperate routes to get to the same place. It's a shame with the driving towards the volcano, as you have a focal point to move towards but it doesn't work that way at all. They actually do that quite a lot later, showing you your destination in the horizon but taking you all over the shop to get there. I'm fine with it, more surprises along the way. Go play far cry

Chapter 16!! I'll do the meets meets meets in spoilers So good!

I weep for other games now. Like that beginning bit in chapter 11, when you are walking through the market, that should be what Shenmue 3 is like... But it won't be Make a new sega rally game with this engine! Make everything

Yeah I enter every combat encounter like its an action movie, wanting to create some badass trailer worthy action and end up getting my ass beat. But who cares! You reload 10secs later and do it again. I have died ALOT in this game. I got a bit obsessed early on with jumping on people through a height, a flying punch, as it looks so cool. So I would enter every enemy encounter climbing up to get the drop on someone, probably because of the 100s of assassin creed hours influencing how I play games, but where as ass creed has a 'kill' button which launches your character off any surface towards it prey, in uncharted its massively situational, and I end up glued hanging ti a wall somewhere getting shot at by 5 guys. Oh well. I half recommend playing on easy, then you can do the swinging in to combat thing without dying every time There's barely any shooting in the game anyway, even at chapter 16 now and this looks to be a purely exploration chapter. Unless they massively ramp up the action at the end... But I've heard the ending to this game is really good! Which isn't normally the case for these games SO FUCKING GOOD I wanted to write a comment last night about how awesome this game is. Everything after and including chapter 10 is another level
-
No it does that. When you climbing up the inside of a building the flip out of a window. Wait till it happens in the clock tower

Chapters 10,11,12 and what I've played of so far in 13 are amazing! My jaw has been on the floor the entire time playing through them. I kinda don't want to play it as I want to savour every moment, I don't want the game to end.

Uncharted 4 really is business as usual, if you didn't like the previous games there's not much for you here. The action happens in little bite size arenas, largesh open areas which you can stealth through this time, I can think of one which required you to clear out the enemies )actually I think they have spotted you and are hostile from the start) It'll probably be easier to stealth then getting in a gun fight as this game is kick my arse. Although I think half of that is because I want to make awesome cinematic action sequences which involve me running head first into gunfire to punch a guy. But like you say, no penalty for death, just kicks you straight back into the action. It's an action game! Platforming has light puzzle elements where it asks you to search for you next hand hold. You've got a grapple hock this time, so quiet often you'll need to swing across a canyon to continue. I've just hit chapter 10 though (only played a little bit) and I'm in a jeep with an absolutely huge area to drive around, feels a bit like MGSV but ten times better looking. This is where it's setting itself apart from the older games, maybe the rest of the game will be like this? Who knows.

Persona 5 - 2015 the year of the PS3 / Persona Q - 3DS

Yeah the latest trailer has PS3 at the end of it -
There isn't a huge amount of shooting in the first few hours, but what I have done feels great. Aiming feels really good. Guns feel powerful, and sound really good. Doesn't feel too different though. There is an auto aim options in the settings, it's turned off by default. There seems to be a big emphasis on stealth this time around, where the enemies have a MGS style alert system. Large sprawling combat environments with lots of hidy holes and long grass (I only just hit the first proper one in chapter 5) and you can tag enemies again like in MGSV I actually got a little worried as the story has you sneaking out of somewhere, so obviously being spotted is bad, and starting an all out gun fight is very bad... I just turned the game off after I got spotted (I was going to switch off then anyway) I hope the game doesn't make me feel like a failure for being spotted throughout. I think a lot actually hinges on what's happening in the narrative, if later in the game I'm in the middle of a dessert against a bunch of scum bags then who cares if it goes all guns blazing. It's just in this instance you need to sneak out, but the game really wants you to kill people, funnelling them straight towards you. To be fair this is still the tutorial part of the game so they probably don't want you to ghost out as you need to learn about shooting faces. It's just a bit of a weird scenario, they say you are up against black market security but thats no justification for slaughtering them... At least show me them kicking a puppy first or something. I think I just need to get over it, it's uncharted, the game is a shooter! Its probably because people act so life like on the cutscenes it feels even stranger to commit mass murder this time around. Its reeeeeally good though, don't let this put you off. And honestly I've only done like 10minures of shooting in the first 4 hours or so. all the other stuff is so great I don't want to speak about it as its best to experience it all yourself

Smaller websites sending them out earlish, I think they do it on purpose as I got MGSV like 5 days early. If you receive a game early from a website you might be more likely to order from them again in the future. Anyway, the game is seriously making my hands sweat. It looks incredible. And the acting is fantastic too, already established 3 serious bad guys in short order, way more believable and menacing then any... Other game... Ever? They've doubled down on what an uncharted game is, and how drake acts. Think they would address all the mindless killing? Nope. Remember that part in uncharted 2 where you pull a security guard off a ledge to his certain death? Yeah well they litterally do the same thing here. Must be on purpose. This is unapologeticly what uncharted is...

Yeah some random guy was talking in one of my games. I was like NOPE, couldn't find a why to silence him, had to go into settings and turn voice chat off. Bit of a nasty surprise, haven't had anyone talk in a game since early days of destiny. Couldn't turn that shut off fast enough. -

I hate the social gameplay mechanic of having to be in the right place on the right day. I ended up running around the whole town everyday in P4 which was tedious as hell. Hope they scrap that for this game. Mobile phone exist! How about group chat all friend 'wanna hang out?', 'yeah come meet me at where ever' Make it more so that you are choosing to spend time with certain characters over others. -
So this just landed on my door mat... I wasn't expecting it so early. Cancel all weekend plans!

I'm surprised the whole download was only like 2.5gb, and it feels like the beta has the contents of the full game. Is that just good coding? Street fighter v had a bloody 7gb patch the other day when guile came out -

I think I'm really enjoying this too... After my first 3 games I was thinking 'is this it?' And had a pretty frustrating match as no one on my team was going toward the objective and just treated it like it was death match (although we were all level 2 then). Since then I've enjoyed it a lot more, feels really well balanced, I've tried a ton of characters all were fun to play with, and everyone felt dangerous... Except the mech girl, those guns are super weak. What does it mean when your face icon is on fire? Your the best in the match? It happened to me a coupe times and it's given my performance anxiety. -
