The meta changes constantly, sometimes at an extremely rapid pace, it's just that the changes aren't in how many people are in a lane.

I played randomly last night with a Crusader who had 17.6m toughness, but not much more damage than I did with my monk at level 60. That is an insane level of toughness. I am so loathe to give up damage for survivability. The world's first glass cannon that carries a shield. I also managed to spend ALL THE GOLD I had accrued by selling crafting mats before the auction house exploded. Enchanting is expensive Diablo, why must you tempt me.

Opening day excitement, catch it! Hosmer and Moose might eventually be good. Alex Gordon is very good. There are things to enjoy watching for in Royals baseball. I live about 15 minutes away from their High A ball affiliate, so a few times a year I get to see some Baby Royals and then talk about them when they hit the bigs 2-3 years later.

https://discover.twitter.com/first-tweet#SJHaack Here's to walking Jamie Moyer. I told you I was a sports person. As far as first tweets go, I'm pretty happy with that one. Follow me today to watch me be mad about baseball, as today is opening day.

I laughed! I made a stern face and shook my head.

@sjhaack be warned, I mostly post about ~sports~ and that does not seem like a topic that fires much conversation around here. I wish I had https://twitter.com/badfinger, but on the other hand that twitter is basically perfect and I just would have ruined it.

Yes. I am trying to decide if I should tell you the crusader is really fun or not, so as not to tempt a wallet.

Funny enough I have gotten a 1536 in threes, but using this corner strategy in 2048 doesn't seem to be paying off for me. If you like this kind of game and can play it, definitely go buy threes. It's honestly a much different game than 2048 is for a number of reasons, one of which is music and personality (even though I play with the sound off).

Dota Today 11: She's My Hard Support
Badfinger replied to TychoCelchuuu's topic in Dota Today Episodes
Eh that wasn't really where I was going with it. My question is making the assumption that you're in a premade group (I guess you dont have to be), and in that circumstance would you rather be the most skilled player (have to carry) or least skilled player (have to be carried) by a non-trivial margin.- 26 replies

subtweeting is basically talking about someone without directly mentioning them. So instead of @badfinger you'd just say badfinger or THIS GUY or whatever. it's also an implied negative connotation.

This thread is not really about Bioshock anymore, is it? Daily reminder: The Luteces own so very, very hard.

Idle Thumbs 151: A Fascinating Experience
Badfinger replied to Sean's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
Oh he's probably right, and I have seen other people do it. I just clearly remember him doing that and the stated reason for it. -
I was in the US. :[

I love Adventure Time. I love the Crusader. ... oh crap I'm out of crafting materials and I want to enchant this item. SEND HELP.

That's kind of cute and obnoxious.

Idle Thumbs 151: A Fascinating Experience

My dad bought an NES advantage, and when using a regular Nintendo controller would hold it upside down. He did that because he said you get a faster reaction time on the buttons using already built in muscle memory from two fingers than one thumb. -

Firstly: The intro song is incredible. I had planned and planned and planned to record my voice, and then never got a quiet room and the time to really warm up (hmm thinking about putting in too much effort and actually not putting in enough) and then said "oh I bet he's done now". It's amazing, so well done. Second: THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT ABOUT DOGE 2048. The fact that you have to reinterpret the tiles as numbers and/or learn the new patterns is fascinating. The fact that it's a silly doge meme just means that people who like silly memes have been indoctrinated into actually thinking and learning an interesting conversion system. I'm really glad that someone who can actually articulate it brought it up. -
The other consideration from the opposite viewpoint is that there were clearly like 3 dozen+ people in the Gamespot and Giant Bomb offices after hours. What kind of corporation is springing for Anchor Steam or (your favorite beer here, whatever) when they can get cases of PBR and 90% of the beer drinkers in attendance will at the very least tolerate it? I don't like Bud Light, but I've bought it to have at a party because people will drink bud light. On the East Coast we have the good fortune that I can just serve Yuengling as the lowest common denominator beer, and it's both cheap and tastes pretty good.

I really liked Bioshock Infinite. Maybe it wasn't the Bioshock-est or something, but they created an amazing world (that I disagreed with in many parts) and an amazing spectacle that I enjoyed breezing through. I played through the whole game the day it was released. The Luteces are incredible characters, the anachronism was awesome, the actual combatting was the best I've used in Bioshock to date. Oh my god the Luteces were so awesome I am remembering now and I'm all tingly.

Why's that? As far as I'm aware those phrases don't have meanings nearly opposite of the way most people use them. Am I about to learn something? (I hope so)

Begs the question is a tricky one for sure. Stringently ignoring it except in explicit logical constructs is a wise course of action.

You could make some pretty good chili with a couple of cans of beer in it. Beer can chicken is also a pretty awesome way to roast a bird.

I think it's that when you describe the flavor of the books it ends up sounding an awful lot like Piers Anthony and Xanth rather than well written satire that uses the world to tell its story rather than escape from it.
