It's so cool that so many of the "hidden" tricks you can do are developer-intended interactions. Super Metroid you're the best.

Is bathroom best common room to build a PC in?

Be the change you want to see in the world. Change that diaper. -
You're not alone. There are podcasts I've discarded not even because of the content, but because of the voice or mannerisms of particular hosts. It's not on you as the listener to "get past" particular pieces of content to start enjoying something. It's also not necessarily on them to change. Sometimes our ears just aren't compatible.

No, you're completely right. I went back to reread myself because I thought I had mentioned it and I was all "WOO SQUATS. DO EVERY SQUAT. THE BEST EXERCISE. Be careful with your form it's really important. Don't use too much weight."

This is the best thread name. -
Totally agreed. Copied for a new page:

What kind of squats are you doing? Like Video Games above me, all the power racks I've ever used for back/front squats have a safety bar. I've thankfully only needed to use it once, but you just kind of let the bar roll off and then you're freeeee. I'd love a spotter mostly because I think when I was up at my highest weight, my form was straight garbage and I would like to correct it. Because I've had a pretty big layoff, I have dropped 100lb off the squat just so I can get back into it. Once I hit a target weight I'm only going to start adding weight every other workout instead of every one like my plan recommends. I think that was pushing me to finish the sets by cheating form instead of failing properly and eventually deloading. Also, please only take my advice as an interested amateur! I've tried my due diligence to make sure I'm properly informed, but I know for a fact Griddlelol has way more weight training experience than I do. All I can safely say is that squats are amazing for you, and if done properly they can both be done safely and as a solitary exercise. If you put a vest over your sweaty T-Shirt, you could match Junior Mints!

I am on the trailing edge of the snow. Our 4-8 has turned into 1-3 with a whimper.

That is also why I own a grounding strap, and my experience with it. I'm just saying if you are really feeling cautious, it's always an option. Honestly, as long as you're handling computer parts like they actually are electronics, they're pretty hardy these days. -
Grocery shopping this weekend, bananas were $.69/lb (normal), and a number of other fruits and veggies were on sale for $1 per lot. Bought 4 pints of grape tomatoes, but rather than patting myself on the back, all I could think of was this thread and the horrible bio-engineered reality we live in.

You can also get a grounding strap and go nuts. Build every PC covered in cats. http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Anti-Static-Wrist-Adjustable-Grounding/dp/B00004Z5D1 -
Squats are amazing. They are basically the king of exercise. There are definitely stretches you can do to help make squatting easier. For me, I had to widen my base to be able to get the proper depth and still keep my balance. I think the worst thing about actively trying to learn how to squat was the number of horrible exercise videos I had to sit through on youtube to find the ones that gave me usable information. If you're already working with a trainer, ask to work on form. Form is way more important than weight. You're better off doing bodyweight squats at full depth than heavy half squats to compensate for stretching or worries about your form. Ask about stretches too, and if they can't help there is someone at the gym who can.

I appreciate the resource, but in terms of actually doing some cooking, posting every recipe is functionally equivalent to posting no recipes. Do you have a couple you like or recommend?

I have/had plantar fasciitis. Things that helped were - losing 20 pounds, stretching properly. I got a lacrosse ball that I used to roll on for my feet that was very useful.

Did you ever wish you could rewind time?

Hi everyone I'd still like to encourage anyone who can still stomach checking this thread to please post some vegan and vegetarian recipes in the cooking thread, because I want them!

Jake said he stopped the recording before the cheese story. Stop getting your hopes up!

Nah, there isn't. That's definitely over exaggeration on my part. Let's say maybe a few weeks, instead? Some level of mutual agreement where you've gotten past the idea of meeting someone just to see how it goes and are doing so because that's what you want. Like, if you're seeing Jane on Fridays and John on Saturdays that's basically wacky sitcom level territory for most people. I actually do prefer the idea of exclusivity, but I know I've felt internal pressure to "make a decision" faster than I would have if I had met people at different times.

The thing about polyamory isn't that I'm necessarily against it, but rather that everyone around me is more or less against it. The specter of going on more than about 2 dates with multiple people at a time and the other people "finding out" is fairly fear inducing.

NFL Rewind exists and basically packages the game into 30 minutes or less. It just shows a play, gives you 3-4 seconds after the play of footage, and shows the next play. It's pretty great. Redzone is amazing. It's probably the best way to just straight up absorb football.

Dibs I'm mad about the ketchup near your steak, but admiring and slightly jealous of most of your other foodstuffs. What in the world is cricket powder?

That's a brutal yet unfortunately prescient metaphor.

My arbitrary line was baked in at childhood through religion, where it was imparted that the value of human life essentially has no equal. I've lost a lot of that religion, but that part stuck pretty hard. That's part of the reason using -isms in this conversation, under any pretense, is an especially hard non-starter for me. This is not an argument to support any particular position. This is a statement I am making about myself.

I'm a Philadelphia sports fan all the way around. I'll also pull for Baltimore teams that are in the opposite conference (Ravens and Orioles). I am a huge sports fan and have been all my life. My mom was apparently a much bigger baseball fan than my dad was. I got myself into hockey. I love sports and competitions of all types.

With the tradition comment I much more meant it has an incredible head start on momentum. I really don't know what the parenthetical comment is all about, actually. The difference between pot and alcohol is it's not a food. With that said, normalization and acceptance radically help integrate many or most things.
