1) We were in a discussion about the sustained vitriol and infighting in politics, especially about candidates who are wildly similar. That wasn't an invitation to twig, it was to a general you. 2) It's not perceived at all as bafflement. You do this all the time; it's exquisitely rude. You disagree with someone, but rather than being direct and asking for clarification or more detail you push the onus onto whoever you're responding to and say it can't be understood or it wasn't clear or they aren't saying the right thing. If you were genuinely questioning, ask your question. 3) More of the same WHAT? What is the thing you fear will be the same? What steps? What is the direction you believe Sanders would lead the USA towards that another candidate wouldn't?

I don't think anyone (here) has an issue with someone not liking a candidate. It's perfectly acceptable! It is very unsettling when two actually very ideologically similar candidates get skewered repeatedly by each other's, let's be clear, fanatics. At the same time, I don't know what "More Of The Same" means in this sentence. It's non-substantive. It is ok to say you don't like a candidate. It's incredibly frustrating. It's strange to talk about who "deserves" something in this way. I'll be frank, Hillary Clinton might be the most qualified presidential candidate in history.
-
My frustration is that it's basically never debate. It's just accusation and hollering. I feel similarly to Chris. Hillary is not my most preferred candidate, but her positions most mirror mine. I don't always like how her campaign is run, but I think of all the available realistic options she's the one. She's also the most likely to be elected Actual President, sick twitter burns or not, and has been for months and months.

If we're operating in the realm where that quote is basically acceptable, it's likely in part because the characters are very projectable. This is also not making the argument that the characters are all the same or completely devoid of characterization, but that those traits are often purposefully muted.

I'm implicating myself for troping, not the medium.

Very interesting reading, thank you for sharing. I'd be curious on how much you agree, disagree, or rebut these different thoughts. There was one passage that spoke to me not as something I knew but something underlying for perhaps why this super broad genre gets condensed so quickly to tropes for me. I believe this is meant to be conveyed in an observational or objective tone, but my brain reads this as intensely negative. As a physical actor and someone interested in the mechanics of acting, those things are very important to me. However, I never would have put a pin straight into that as a reason I am more or less disinterested in anime. Does this read as correct (at least generally)?

I love the Casual Lucio from that view. I had no idea from where I was he wasn't even really in the play. -

I like when it happens organically. When the first person picks McCree, and the second person picks McCree, and then 3 and 4 lock that shit in... That's the good stuff. I also wouldn't be super interested in playing a niche role hero like Hanzo, but I would happily play most characters. Btw yes you are a grumpy gamer because the point is it's supposed to be funny. All Roadhog All Mid. -

Playing with a group is so good. Dinosaurs MVP Man of the Match for our Thumbs squad tonight. I wish I had been recording it live. -
Yes. It's the cultish mindset, the obscene cost, the absolutely rigid inflexible structure of the workout, and the 100% roll of the die on whether you're getting someone with actual training, licensing, and expertise, or if it's someone who's done 3 years of crossfit and wanted to open a gym because crossfit is trendy. Because everyone is "encouraging", people routinely get "encouraged" past their physical limit and fuck themselves up pretty badly. I have heard enough stories to know it's a habit and not isolated that people are pushed for reps or weight rather than holding their form properly. You're the last person on here I'd need to tell what a bad idea that is. My personal strike against it is it's a class format and all the class times are for horrible people.

The Layman's 2 sentence update - does "missions" mean that there's actually some kind of progression in the game from point to point without just inventing it all yourself now? Even if it's just a breadcrumb chain getting you from station to station, it's generating completeable activities?

you can very easily have a team composition that covers all the suggestions the character select screen throws out and still have a group of characters 100% unable to win the map and matchup. It's just part of the game. I have a LOT of trouble trying to get people organized for the second push on Hanamura. Everyone splits up, and when they have two snipers and 2 turrets you just can't do shit. It doesn't matter what support I pick I'm fucked every way to sunday. I don't know how to reliably build a strategy, so I'm just frustrated because it's frustrating. -

It's pretty hilarious imo. Playing a tank character is not putting someone in a box. There are offensive and defensive tanks. D.Va is probably at her best when she's sniper hunting, which is an unorthodox approach to tankery. https://imgur.com/ZlGXADy -
It is also true that building a bar is more costly than maintaining a bar. Things are likely not all going to run out at the same time, you'll find preferences, etc. I say this as a person who has the barest of bar shelves. I like a Dark and Stormy as a mixed drink for dark rum, if you've not had it. Counter to not going for the labels, I also like Kraken black rum. http://www.seriouseats.com/2014/05/bartender-best-cheaper-substitutes-for-expensive-spirits.html http://www.businessinsider.com/dont-be-fooled-4-alcohol-scams-2013-10 The word "cheap" means different things to different people but there are some reasonable suggestions in this article. Definitely true that you don't need a super fancy label if you're mixing drinks. Now I want to check out Plantation Vodka if I can find it.

I barely used grenades in my first playthrough. The chainsaw became invaluable, though. It was an integral part of the flow of strategy. Use rockets/gauss/minigun to fight through the first few waves of enemies, chainsaw a baron of hell, pick up enough ammo to clean up the rest of the encounter, etc. I don't share the sentiment that you can play it like a melee game. The melee creates a risk/reward scenario where you can dive in for health and armor after you stagger enemies, but outside of the chainsaw using melee is not viable. Your melee weapon is a shotgun. Thanks for mentioning the dumbname cocktail jam! It's a fun silly thing. I'm hopeful I can contribute more to real actual cocktails at some point.

I've seen the message for that, it does happen. The games aren't enough of a community to play with the same people for like 5 rounds. For some reason it's not super appealing the way a TF2 server was. -
I am intrigued by your hell.

I was slightly deflated thinking about how these compare to a brand new 970 I bought last year, but I'm more than happy with my purchase. It came with the Witcher 3, that was just about the most beautiful game I've ever seen, and I have a pair of 1080p monitors with no real plan to upgrade in the near future (just going from 1 monitor to 2 was a crazy lifestyle change). The 970 is going to fit my 1080p game life for at least as long as it takes for Pascal cards to drop under $300. I'm good, if a bit jealous at how the bars are bigger for the video cards with a 10 instead of a 9. -

Yeah that's infuriating to me. I don't understand how I can't hit anything in this game and I'm rock solid in other recent FPS games. I refuse to believe it's just that I'm old. And then I watch other people's kill cams on me and what the fuck. When do you use Mercy's rez? It feels like such a waste to use it on one person and sometimes even two, but then you just hold it for 5 minutes because the first time someone dies all the deaths become staggered. -
I think it crashed in one spot.

I appreciate the ability to quickly communicate with my team what enemy is where. Chatwheel options will cover basically everything else. -
