Alexstrasza can be a huge help because wearing through 45 HP can get annoying. But aside from convenience all the heroics are pretty doable with all-basic decks. You need a bit of luck though.

In that case, it's amusing that the breaking strategy for base Thunderstone is to spend your first 5 turns trashing your basic dudes. But yeah we have very different tastes in deckbuilding then. I love thinning my deck. Ascension and Star Realms are among my favourites for that reason.

Just tried Thunderstone Advance. Ugh. It takes the elegance of Dominion's deckbuilding and turns it into a confused mess. Its stated playtime is 45 mins and should probably be doubled at least for upwards of 3 players, especially the first plays because all the rules questions that crop and the nonintuitive things you need to do (like go lose to monsters on purpose to thin your deck).

Nah, that's a common German thing. My colleagues did it too. In Dutch, when you're pulling someone's leg you it's either called 'pinning something on their sleeve' or 'leading them around the garden'. When you want to get something done you say 'let's take the cow by the horns.' If you're being very nitpicky, you are 'looking for nails on low water' (the carpentry kind of nails) or 'sieving mosquitoes'.

Yeah Mu's Puck was out of this world. That game was the best of the series.

At its root the thing is: if you feel the song is aimed at people who are not able to language good, it's offensive and denigrating. If you feel it's aimed at people who are not willing to typ wel, it's a justifiable put-down.

You can only cast pyromancies once you get the pyromancy flame (assuming you're playing pyro from the axe comment). If you have a controller I strongly suggest using it. If not, please install dsfix and dsMfix or the controls are likely to really, really make you hate the game. e: sounds like your key/button mappings are messed up?

The first two Divinity games are sort of a weird mix between Diablo and Ultima; ARPG controls, but with plot and weird world interactions. Pretty cool at the time. There's a pretty good LP of both over on lparchives.
