I read through that progress update and subsequently played "The Entertainment" and it's really fascinating and unique and totally worth checking out (just like the main game, on which I'll just echo the others and say go ahead and play it now). I'd also say it's the first thing that's made me legitimately want an Oculus Rift.

When I saw this thread bumped I was hoping there was news on Episode 3. This is the Half Life thread, right?

Good grief elmuerte, that ending was intense. So I've seen hammerpants do this thing where he quickly drops/picks up/drops a bomb to get it closer to a wall. I tried that out a few times at it seemed easy enough. Of course in the daily I had a rock in my hand so I just ended up putting that down, picking up the bomb, and then panicking. It wouldn't have even helped... -

It seems they have a fundamental misunderstanding of what the pixelation censor is supposed to accomplish... -

Hmm. I'm a little torn on the T-bone character. His features are certainly exaggerated, but look at a picture of Mr. T, which they obviously based him on...is it really so far off? I'd say the eyes are more in the "I love blowing things up" territory than unsettling or menacing, so I'd be hesitant to put that in the racist bucket. That being said, I find the addition of gold teeth to be pretty gross, and it makes me question the things I mentioned previously. Now on the woman, I agree with Reyturner. She seems to be just presented as a joke while the men look like badass NFL superstars. It may not bother me if there were other women that weren't just fat white trash caricatures, but there aren't. -

Elmuerte we're brothers in shitty Spelunky runs, including blowing up that poor woman in 1-1. -
GOG is having a pretty good sale right now for Valentines Day. The original Dungeon Keeper is free, plus things like System Shock 2, Planescape: Torment, Guacamelee, etc etc are only a few bucks each.

I've been getting careless lately. But at least I had fun freezing spiders. -
Nope, I'm in the Southeast US. Right now mother nature is in the process of depositing a half inch of ice on everything in my neighborhood with some snow expected to top it all off tonight. I still have power so fingers crossed that that holds up at least. We do not handle winter weather well in these parts (our primary plan when these things happen being "wait for it to melt I guess?").

I think I hate Rogue Legacy. Something about the movement or controls just really irritates me. I've tried to go back to it a couple times and I'm pretty sure there's a good game in there, but I think I'm done. -

Yes...join us...join usssss So I thought I remembered a technique I saw (and practiced!) for robbing shopkeepers. I did not remember. -

The ability to time jumping on things continues to elude me...this run was kinda sloppy all around actually. I like the new HUD...will take some getting used to though. -
Words I just heard in the local weather report include: historic, devastating, crippling, and "a whole lotta damage". Barf.

The other thing to be careful of with the scepter is even after it's hit an enemy, it continues to kind of randomly juggle the body around for a while and I've actually gotten trapped and killed by it in a narrow passage that way. -

I'm not really sure what motivates me to record my playthroughs...it's not like they get more than a few views that are generally under a minute (mostly people from here skipping to the end, I imagine). I think mainly I like to go back and listen to myself lose it when I die or have a close call. And then I figure why not share that stupidity with the Internet. The thought's crossed my mind to figure out how to stream on Twitch, just to learn how to do it, but it's another level of effort I don't feel like bothering with right now. -

Yeah I never had a high opinion of Voyager either. Maybe it's because I first saw it when I was a teenager and my parents liked it so I had to hate it? I just remember not really enjoying any of the characters like I did on the previous series. A friend of mine is watching TNG (and probably the other series afterward) for the first time and I'm rewatching with him, but we're going at a snails pace so I imagine we'll get to Voyager sometime in 2015...maybe I'll enjoy it more on a second/adult viewing. -

There may be millions or billions of different people on the Internet, but there's often a weird group think that emerges from the communities that exist on it (which is a whole topic on its own really). I saw a tweet from Jake yesterday that I thought was pretty accurate https://twitter.com/ja2ke/statuses/432589043688153088 -

I made a dumb decision when the ghost showed up in the black market. Even now that thing still freaks me out a bit. -

It looks like he teleports to just to the left of the door, so as long as you don't move to the left immediately, I think you'd be safe. I'm still bitter.
