Quadrilateral Cowboy sounds like a fancy version of Spacechem. I'm excited. -
I dunno, that's like saying it's Microsoft's fault when an xbox game is garbage. I think the thing that keeps me from jumping on the hate bandwagon just yet is that Facebook is too young to have a history of shitting on its acquisitions. But then again, everyone's gotta start somewhere!

Incorrect. The grossest thing would have been if King or Zynga had bought them.

Is it wrong that I'm taking pleasure in the Internet outrage and doomsaying over this? I get that Facebook is lame and loves to collect data on everyone, but from some of the reactions I've read you'd think Mark Zuckerberg had gone around and personally beaten their mothers in front of them. The only acquisition that would have been welcomed would have been Valve. You know, that other company that loves pushing free to play games (a joke...don't kill me). But seriously, its a weird purchase that wreaks of FB throwing money at things to try and stay relevant, but I'm happy to take a wait and see attitude on it and hopefully they'll leave the oculus guys alone enough to let them do their thing.

Studies show that humans are 73% more likely to surrender when a robot asks them to submit or face annihilation if it gazes thoughtfully into the distance after asking.

What's the story with spoilers in this thread? I will put my comments in them to be safe, but I feel like if you're wandering into this thread, you know what you're getting?

The shopkeepers were already angered when I got to the Black Market so I'm not sure what set them off for you elmuerte I tried going to the mothership to mix things up a bit today. Did not go well... -

So, are the woods haunted? I'll just go ahead and assume that they are. -

Yeah elmuerte, that death was great. So this seed was pretty generous but apparently the alien lord's psychic energy made me an idiot. -
Just finished Metro: Last Light. It was alright. Like the previous one it's great at setting up mood and atmosphere and it looks great. I loved going through the metro "cities" and surface wasteland...it's all so incredibly detailed and fun to explore (in the completely linear way it's presented at least). I also love the mechanics like having to manually recharge your flashlight battery or the pneumatic guns and the game has a button dedicated to wiping grime off your gas mask for goodness sake. But fighting mutants could get a little annoying/tedious and the few boss fights they had in there felt out of place and unnecessary. Also the human AI is pretty dumb and the stealth was so forgiving it bordered on ridiculous, which isn't something I'd expect myself to say (it's basically a binary system of completely invisible or not and enemies are quick to give up searching for you). The story was serviceable enough, aside from some bad voice acting and a few groan-worthy moments, and in general the guns felt good to shoot so I'd say the good outweighed the bad.

The original Costume Quest was charming as hell. I'm excited.

That mummy puke really packs a wallop. Also, curious to see where the black market was...I completely missed it. -

Ah, that was fantastic. I managed to beat Olmec the slow way (for the first time) since I only had a couple bombs and get to Hell. Then I died. -

Had some seriously lucky breaks in the temple and city of gold, but sadly my luck ran out at Olmec. -
