So I'm playing Wolfenstein: New Order right now which is set in an alternate history where the Nazi's take over the world. Based on that criteria it would be docked 2.5 points for requiring active rebellion (against the Nazi government). Awesome.

Yeah that's true, but it will effect when I'll complain about it. And really it's nearly every time.

I think a lot of it is about how extreme the lengths are the writers go through to justify the character showing skin or being super hot or whatever and how that actually holds up under scrutiny, adds to the story, or is at all necessary. Take EDI for example. Her body was originally designed to pass off as human, so why does it have giant metal boobs? I feel pervy for saying this but if anyone ever touched them, even just from bumping into her, there'd be some questions or at least weird looks. And why does she have high heels built into her feet? The whole thing is stupid. Miranda, on the other hand, was designed by her shitty dad. I think her body and her attitude about it and him are kind of interesting. Now the fact that the camera gets all male-gazey on her is another issue...

What was the rationale for the beauties or whatever they were called in MGS4? Oh and how about Mystique in Xmen? Always naked because she's a shapeshifter.

Yeah it wasn't too hard. I never died though I did need to tap into my bottled fairy stockpile several times. Still, it was more challenging than some of the past Zelda games I've played. Next time I'm on the road I'll probably go back to it to try out Hero Mode.

Well my nightmare scenario of the Royals getting swept at least won't pan out. I was worried after that first game. Man I hope they win it all. I sure don't need to see the Giants win another World Series...

Which is good because the name xenomorph is pretty dumb.

I beat A Link Between Worlds over the weekend. I remember there being a lot of talk about this diverging from the Zelda formula what with you getting all the items up front, but I didn't really find that to be the case since most dungeons literally tell you at the entrance what one item will be needed for it, so it still boils down to having that item to navigate the dungeon and defeat the boss. I would have liked to have seen more dungeons have puzzles that rely on using a variety of items together. That being said, the dungeons are all really good and the overworld is fairly open from the start which made exploring more interesting. The use of 3D is great and the control over Link felt sooo good. Just very responsive and his movement speed was so perfect. Plus the game is far less hand-holdy than many Nintendo games have been recently, which I appreciated.

Well I've successfully navigated a move to a new place and visit from family so I should be relatively available now. Thursdays are really the only weekday I couldn't block out a few hours in the evening to do the raid or whatever. Weekends are a bit more unpredictable. I'll be trying to get myself up to lvl 27 in the meantime.

What will we do with ourselves after the real Frog Fractions 2 happens?

I'm still a poor level 26 so I can't do the 28 strikes just yet, but I do want to do the raid (for the first time). Would have loved to go in with a group that's never played it but I think that may not be possible at this point. Anyway I'm going to be pretty busy this weekend unfortunately but I'd be willing to give it a go sometime next week or weekend.

I was going to mention some of this stuff, but then I realized that god damn it, this is the Good News thread, so I think I'll just be blindly optimistic that in 20 years I'll be driving a Mr. Fusion powered car and go on with my day.

A forum filter that randomly swapped "Star Trek" and "Star Wars" would be fantastic.

Tried out the PS4 version last night. You can watch replays of your friends daily challenge attempts...pretty cool! Though it could really use some sort of playback control so I can skip to the good stuff ie stupid deaths.

Kept waiting for a Shadows of the Empire joke and it never came...no love for Dash I guess

Gonna be moving this weekend so sadly I'm out. Might do an interest check for a second run in a week or two once I'm all settled and my Internet is (hopefully) working.
