And in the same vein as what ThunderPeel said my friend was in South Africa for the World Cup as he has family and friends there and they all thought it was great and loved everything about it except the vuvuzelas.

Cask, maledict, dagon, ult, then lothars so you cant be interrupted. Also, everything about that is good in non troll pub games except the dagon. If you get an Agh's and drop maledict in a team right and then ult with either a bkb or lothar's it's awesome.

I don't know if it's like this in other countries, but I was thinking about it and there are a lot of people here who will also just watch any event in the Olympics that the US is competing in. Obviously people in every country like to see their team get medals or whatever, but there are a LOT of people, at least where I am who watch events they care nothing about just to see the US beat other countries.

I think people that care about sports do, and people who are athletes do. I have a friend who is a runner and he follows the USA runners and cares about their times at the trials and stuff. I have another friend who was/is a very good ping-pong player and also Chinese and in 2008 was obsessed with the games and has favorite players and stuff, he re-watched every single game many times. I usually watch a fair amount of the events, I'm probably going to watch every one of the (U23 men's) soccer games and then whatever else happens to be on. I never watch the winter games though, and I don't care for the swimming much, though sometimes will watch diving.

Who are the elite? The athletes?

The thing to keep in mind is that all of the top pro teams are still rediculously good, Mouz included even though they are just a "stand-in" team for TI2, but Na'Vi is just that incredible that they're a step above the rediculously good people. If anyone followed HoN at all, the FnaticRC team was by far better than any other team, Na'Vi is the same way.

So far the only thing I've bought is the Binding of Isaac DLC which was 70-something cents. I'm feeling pretty good.

Mouz actually is in the grand finals vs Na'Vi after winning the lower bracket, the game just end3ed and it was insane. I'm still not giving them much hope at beating Na'Vi, as Na'Vi are ridiculously good, and on top of that I believe they have a 1-0 advantage coming from the upper bracket vs Mouz coming from the losers bracket.

I've always been more in favor of buying good headphones and just using a seperate mic. I had an expensive 5.1 headset quite a few years ago, like a real 5.1 set too not one with virtual 5.1, and I get just as good sound positioning from both my speakers and my headphones which are Sennheiser HD 595s and then I use a clip on mic (http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Zm-Mic1-Sensitivity-Headphone-Microphone/dp/B00029MTMQ) which sounds good, at least as good as what I'd assume would be on a gaming branded headset. If I really wanted quality I would use a real michrophone, I even have a nice microphone with a stand that's on my desk I use for recording various music related things but for everything that isn't that I never even bother.

The good thing about getting destroyed by the Christmas sale is I already own everything I want for the most part. I of course wont feel as smug 10 days from now when all my money is gone anyways.

I have Defense Grid and enjoyed it when I played it, but imo, WC3 style tower defense games are still way better than the ones where you have set build locations. I didn't like PvZ at all because it was so shallow, the main thing I love about TD games is making mazes.

I'm pretty sure it's aimed directly at me personally. I love everything about it.

Even if the other team knows what you're doing, which they obviously will because you're attacking their creep wave so they see you, all they can do is come and fight you while you're in the middle of one of their waves which is what you want to happen anyways. He's not a top tier pick by any means, but outside of high level competitive play the reason you lose is almost always going to be because of skill level and communication of your team and not because of what hero you chose. Obviously team composition is still important, but any hero can be played successfully.

He's really good at pushing because he can just cut lanes. He's never played at a competitive level, but for normal games if you just go past your enemies tower and stand between their T1 and T2 tower and take their wave you'll clear the whole thing super fast and let your wave just keep pushing theirs. I always jugnle him and then after I gank a lane I'll help my team push the tower by clearing the other teams waves.
