warthurton Posted April 13, 2012 gog has a bunch of Interplay games on sale. Are there any strategy gems in there? I'm considering Conquest of the New World, JA2: Unfinished Business and Castles. I guess that is actually most of them. http://gog.com/promo/interplay_blast
vyyye Posted April 13, 2012 Fallout: Tactics is more tactics than strategy (duh) but it's quite enjoyable. Definitely worth $3. Gets a lot of flak from Fallout fans who wanted a sequel to Fallout 1 and 2, it's a solid enough game.
Woebin Posted April 15, 2012 I've heard it said that the M.A.X. games are pretty good, probably worth at least $3 to try out. Fallout Tactics is definitely worth $3 if you go in for squad-based tactics; it's essentially a post-apocalyptic Jagged Alliance, although probably a bit less complex. The single player campaign also makes a jump in difficulty partway through, making it almost unbeatable and certainly not too fun unless you've invested in energy weapons. Personally I think it's worth it just for the multiplayer though, if you can find soemone to play with.
