Tanukitsune Posted May 16, 2011 Remember that time Thomas Edison became evil and Tesla was the only person who could stop him? You know, when he unleashed all those evil robots? Well, this is the game based on that very true story! This isn't your typical physics puzzle game, for one thing you play as Tesla, which already makes it awesome, and Mark Twain is the narrator. Not enough? O.K., there's more! As you have probably guessed by the title, Tesla has weather powers and as you play the game you unlock more and more, it's not much of a spoiler telling you which, since you can see the powers you'll get in the HUD. You start off with lighting and then... levitation? Since lighting is your main power water will shock you, but it will also shock the robot, so getting the rain power can make things interesting, specially when you get the sun power to dry up the water. The final power is snow which freezes the water. You also collect minerals to spend on power ups for your weather powers, like making it rain faster or making the sunlight damage enemies. The really impressive thing this game has going for it is that it's not that easy to "break" like most physics puzzle games. I unlocked a power that allowed me to levitate something while I was still on it and by the time I could afford it, it barely helped. It's biggest flaw? The water physics are horrid, water moves like very thick porridge. Oh, I nearly forgot! You can collect pigeons to make you jump higher and further! It's less than 4 dollars now, and it's probably one of the most humorous and entertaining physics puzzle game I've played this year, I most heartily recommend it! Murdoc Posted May 16, 2011 This was a premise of a comic book, just without the super powers, and while the premise was awesome, the comic was not. : ( The game looks more interesting, but would have instantly sold me if it had a bit more art direction. Ill give the demo a shot when I get home.
Tanukitsune Posted May 17, 2011 Yeah, the art is almost bad, specially in the cutscenes, but this is a very small studio, only two people according to their site.
