Grippage Posted July 27, 2010 Me and my flatmate are on an Internet plan with a monthly 100GB cap, and I'd like to be able to track how much traffic is going to each device. I don't want to log websites or anything, I just want to make sure that it's roughly even. Is the only solution to install a bandwidth monitor on my computer? toblix Posted July 27, 2010 Installing (a) monitor(s) is the easiest solution by far, even though it's easily manipulated, so no good in court.
Nachimir Posted July 27, 2010 Have you looked into open firmware for routers? Might do the trick if you can reflash your router with it.
Forbin Posted July 27, 2010 If you have a linksys router chances are you can install tomato firmware it gives you granular bandwidth usage info.
