would I need the DLC if I were to join?

I hope not. (In other words, it's not been an issue so far, I think it's a vanilla affair)

... I should be there!

We played TLAD for a few weeks, but came to the conclusion that the original is better. Bizarrely, they removed GTA race and the ice cream trucks from the DLC multiplayer. I really don't get why they removed anything, considering that every single person who can use the DLC already has a copy of the original.

The baggage truck race was pretty great, though.

Ok I should be in, however it depends on if I am still playing Munchkin prior to the game.

Ah, fair enough. No ice cream trucks? Madness. And folly.

I'm mad fer it, etc, although I insist that the subtitle for this session should be:

Grippage Theft Australia

We'll miss you, Admiral. ;(

Haha! Amazing to see this is still going... Are we really on 33??? Wow.

Shame my XBox is at my ex's gathering dust. I will have access to it again eventually.

Then I shall be down like a clown. Or something.

Give her a call, come over with a bottle of wine. Do whatever you have to.

Or him, I dunno.

Sorry about running you over with the fire engine, Wrestlevania, pal of mine. If was in a hurry to get to the boat, and, to be honest, you were kind of going left and right in an unpredictable manner. And my siren was on.

Well, I thought it was pretty rad. I was trying to figure out something awesome to say, like "you're FIRED" or "you left an electric cooking plate on IN YOUR BOAT", but things happened too fast. Also, I was a bit sad that I had just killed Wrestlevania, and that was sad, even though -- and I am quite sure he would agree -- it was totally worth it.

There were a few pretty excellent moments in there. I think I like One for All Cops n Crooks more than All for One, actually. Having to kill all of the criminals makes the cop side more exciting, and the criminals get to have a few moments of pure excellence.

I'm thinking specifically here of things like my being in a boat with Wrestlevania (ally) and Nevsky (enemy) on the shore and telling Wrestle "just kill him and we'll get out of here." About then, Nevsky guns down Wrestle and I'm forced to high-tail it out of there as fast as I can go. Or when Nevsky, James, and I were the criminals and James insisted on going the long way down to the pier rather than just jumping off the bridge and swimming for it like Nevsky and I did. We got in the boat and patiently waited for him, and then as he was getting on took off and let him fall in the water. Went back for him after, but I was considering just leaving him wet and angry and chuckling to myself about it. Creating your own stories is fun!

I agree, that different setting for Cops 'n Crooks gives it more potential - for tension, humour, slurs-from-beyond-the-grave.

Enjoyable evening, mostly. I thought for a change I got 'stuck in' with the GTA Races, don't know if that's because I'm getting used to it, or what. The previous weeks, I'd be cruising for most of the race without seeing anyone. Plus, that airport track has some great choke points.

There were quite a few bits of note, but most are overwhelmed in my mind by traumatic images of ladders stretching up into the infinite sky, and giant QTE-flashing Y buttons mocking me in a mixture of English (and one Canadian) accents.

...I think my favourite bit was Toblix's off-road, stunt driving flourish of the week, somehow managing to vertically climb a chain-link fence in a car.

You do realize that the Y button only starts you climbing, and pushing it again will make you fall off, yes? If you want to climb faster, tap A. It's like running, but with a ladder.

Sincerely, your Canadian tormentor.
