ThunderPeel2001 Posted May 25, 2009 What, the five hundred repetitive drum patterns one? No idea, I haven't done it in RB2, but I distinctly remember RB1 explaining most of this stuff to me. Oh the pain you could have avoided! Also, since you asked, the ION kit's pedal isn't actually supposed to be that great from what I've read, but I presume it's only the real die-hard drummers that are complaining(?). miffy495 Posted May 26, 2009 Jesus, 'blix. That sounds incredibly painful. A drum stool is pretty cheap, so I just use a real adjustable one and have my leg set up just as Halgwet suggested. Thigh parallel, knee at a 90 degree angle. That, and keeping your foot down between beats, will pretty much keep your leg from cramping during the vast majority of the songs. toblix Posted May 26, 2009 90°, huh? That's novel. I'll try it when I get home.
toblix Posted May 26, 2009 WELL HOLY FUCKING SHIT! Moving the pedal closer to me made a world of difference. No more burning thighs and exploding crotch. No more twitchy, mechanical footwork. Hello smooth, asynchronous bass drums, played as though my foot springs a mind of its own and decides to make hot sex with the pedal. I swear, at times I feel like a drum god.
