  1. Happy Birthday!

The horrible, placid-zombie-look on her face as she does that horrible, horrible thing to her body is possibly the most disturbing thing I have seen in a very long time.
  2. Minecraft

    No such luck.
  3. Game of Thrones (TV show)

    4.5 A 10 scale doesn't work for what I'm thinking for this.
  4. How anyone finds fighting games enjoyable is beyond me, I must admit. I enjoyed a round or two of MK (3, maybe?) back in the day, I've played a round of MvC on the giant honking arcade machines they occasionally have at places, but I've never gotten the appeal. Not sure what I'm missing about them, but none of them have managed to spark that yet.
  5. Game of Thrones (TV show)

So I'll be frank. I do not regret my current HBO subscription. Game of Thrones =:tup: (Using a meh because we don't have a half a thumbs-up) If you enjoy A Song of Ice and Fire, see it. Man, it's utterly fantastic. There are a few niggling issues with it, but primarily ones I notice because I've read the books eight or nine times each, over the last decade and a half. (Save ADWD, mind.)
  6. 1. Good going Thompson, you broke the page. 2. You could always Indian Jones and The Annoying Chinese Kid it. Have the lever in reach of the car-passenger. (Yes, that's what I call The Temple of Doom. I really hate that that movie exists, especially nestled between Raiders and Last Crusade. How fucking dare you, George Lucas.)
  7. General Video Game Deals Thread

I don't know how most of you feel about GamersGate, but The Shivah (the rabbi detective story Chris so heartily recommend) is a good $3 and whatever that comes out to in "foreign monies". Enjoying it so far. (I have left the 'h' off four separate times today and feel like a senor-super-douche.)
  8. Recently completed video games

Or Skyrim! But yeah, Portal 2 is a serious contender.
  9. Movie/TV recommendations

Well I think you're all gits. (Joking, mostly!) There's apparently a second coming out and I intend to enjoy it. It may just be further proof that I have bad taste in cinema.
  10. Portal 2

    I thought
  11. Portal 2

See, as I don't live in the UK, I don't get exposed to such things (it did, in fact, sour me on Merchant just a little). Also seeing as I love most of the accents that come out of GB/England (Fucking Cockney) I quite enjoy his work. I may be slightly daft.
  12. Movie/TV recommendations

    Really? Why so?
  13. (IGN.com)

They have to know by this point. It can't be unintentional. (That second sentence feels wrong somehow.)
  14. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

Is that what that looks like? (So confused by that video. . .)
  15. Portal 2

I can't see Farmers Insurance commercials without adding "Cave Johnson here" to the start and "We're done here" to the end now. I look a little crazy doing it, probably.
  16. Portal 2

You'll notice I have 10 hours of Portal 2 on Steam, but have actually played more like 15/16. Apparently, the Steam timer stops functioning for a lot of people during Portal 2, reporting incorrect times. (For instance, the first night it came out, I played all the way through to the start of the and had 2 hours played. I can attest that it was at least 7 hours because the freaking sun had come up again.)
  17. Portal 2

Co-op. Man. Just wow. Some of the shit they have you do in that is. . .jesus. Cannot recommend it enough.
  18. Good Old GOG

I don't know about patches, actually. I just downloaded UQM to see if I like the idea, and if I do, I'll probably grab it. If not, I'll consider it a demo and be rid of the thing. Hmm, might even start a timer to keep myself honest.
  19. Portal 2

    Yeah,
  20. Good Old GOG

Chris (The Remo version, if we have any others), were you the one going on about Star Control for a few episodes there? Or was that Jake? http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/star_control_1_2
  21. Portal 2

. . .Wow. . . I have to admit. Valve has been hailed as a "great storyteller" but I've never seen it. I don't like Half Life. I adore the characters of L4D (1) and TF2, but the story of L4D1 is rather bland to me. (What there is.) Portal was fantastic. Easily my favorite Valve game, probably my 8th favorite story in a game. Portal 2. . .1st or 2nd, easy. I, man. I'm not great at puzzles of this sort. Logical puzzles, rhetoric puzzles, sure. Physical/spatial? Nyet. And I still enjoyed this once I was past the slightly iffy last portion of Aperture Science. Oh, also!
  22. Portal 2

I just realized, hours later and after a nap, that I missed the easiest Cave Johnson joke in the world, my last post. Damnit to hell. . . 12 minutes. Oh, also! Taking bets on seeing the co-op bots half-assembled somewhere in SP. Five bucks. 10-1 odds.
  23. Portal 2

I caved in and bought it. Anyone up for a bit of co-op eventually?
  24. V The Elder Scrolls

That was a "Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck, why is this in November?!" fuuuuuuuuuck, right?
  25. Portal 2

I just don't care about all this non-sense. I just don't give a flying whit. Let me know if the game is good, though!
