The only good moment wrestling ever has had, or ever will have, ladies and gentlemen.

Does any TV series do creeping, pervasive psychological horror like Doctor Who? I'm pretty sure the answer is no. (Matt Smith's Doctor continues to grow on me.)
-
Yes, and how did that work out for him, pray tell. As much as I love the various quotations of Oscar Wilde, they are of small use.

@Rodi - I'm "ughing" at society for this thing being so prevalent. It's stupid. @Nappi - I'm not exactly misanthropic about "planking" (fuck, I hate that term), it's just it makes me feel justified in that regard. "I hate people!" Why? "Because planking." (I guess I am kind of misanthropic about it, but it's more "*sigh* idiots" than anything.)

What is this, I don't even. . . To stop at GabeN, press control. What is wrong with him?
-
Well hells, I wish I'd known that. That said, I really hope 2 lives up to my expectations. Dragon Age is such a lackluster set (only two currently, but. . .well) of RPGs that I'm losing hope for the genre.

Social darwinism, baby! (Not really. While I do believe that we don't need idiots breeding, no-one needs to die for a better genetic selection. No-one should ever need to die for betterment of the human race. Moving on. . .) That sucks.

To put it simply, shit like this is why I revel in misanthropy as a concept. If something like this had been introduced amongst the circle of people I've surrounded myself with, the response would have been; "Hey guys, check this out!" *Silence*. . . "What the fuck are you doing?" "Uh, it's this thing I've come up with, um, I call it planking. . ." "You're a fucking idiot." *Night continues* Basically, I hate humanity and/or have no sense of humor.

Oh for fucks sake. . . Ugh.

The fighting mechanism actually stopped me from playing The Witcher when I first got it. I don't know what the circumstances were at the time, but I just couldn't wrap my head around it and stopped playing before I'd even completed Caer Morhen. I went back a few months later and it clicked right off and blew through the game and really enjoyed it, minus the already dead-horsed bits with slutty females. So yes, pre-loaded on GOG (as much as it can be), looking forward to it.

For something that hasn't effected me in the slightest, I get 45 free days of EQ2, SWG, DCUO, PlanetSide and Vanguard, so I'm pretty happy with the end results.
-
I did not actually notice that, because I didn't play CoD1/UO until after 2 had come out. Still, I think the quality of the last three is basically the same game over and over, so I will gripe, thanks very much.
-
Done with CoD at this point. I miss CoD2, and not having to fork out 60 bucks every 14 months for a rehash of the same concepts. Which is sad, because the time I got out of WaW and CoD2 is vile and wrong.

I've avoided Settlers 7 so far because of the price. I bought other things the last couple times its gone on sale (the last two Gigantor-sales from Steam) so I haven't gone around to getting it. The DRM doesn't bother me, and I really sort of want another management sim, because I never have enough of those. 'blix, would you say it's 30-of-the-dollars, worthy? Addendum: Holy fuck, Bruce Shelly worked on S7? Fuuuuuck, nooooo, my wallet!

And I resent you saying a game was ruined by things that have no impact on gameplay! So there. Admittedly, I'm sure there are levels on which CoD is played that require more than point-click-hold, run, repeat, but Brink doesn't seem to have received that level of coexistence in its player-base. It's mostly the gormless fucks with no sense of teamplay. But damn, when everyone on both teams works together. . .it's a thing. A great damn thing.
-
I think a big problem with Brink is how the game is intended to be played. If you were to put CoD, TF2 and any of Splash Damages games on a scale from least teamwork required, to most, it would look like this. CoD ----------- TF2 -----------------------------(SD games) Brink Skill would also look vaguely similar. Your team is going to get utterly massacred if you don't work together, and you can't simply spray bullets at a man until he dies, either. So people who are used to shooting 12 guys in CoD and planting a bomb free of worry because they expended all their ammo, aren't going to get very far here. I really hate to be the guy that says "LOL, CoD players bad at games" but it seems to be the case here. The lethality of almost all weapons (pretty much every gun will kill you in three or less shots to the head) combined with attacking while you freerun, is simply a different level of play. Enjoying it immensely so far.

That is the best thing. The rocket just adds to the awesome.

I've come to the conclusion that the bots are prescient cheating fucks. You go within 5 feet of an objective? The entire bot team shows up. Stick your head out of a corner? Every bot in the room fucks your skull with high-velocity lead. Assholes, the lot of 'em. That said, I'm really enjoying the PvP MP. Defense seems to have a much easier time if Offense is disorganized, but it's still fun.

This is perfectly acceptable. (And because it made me chuckle; No, TP, it wouldn't at all.)

Well it makes me think we might see a newer/older era of Tribes. Tribes 1 and 2 happened during the same era, making all the tech relatively similar. Vengeance happened considerably earlier in the timeline, where armor and weaponry were less advanced. So who knows? I don't mind it. I think it's a bit tall for a spinfusor, but we'll see.

Tanu you really. . .just don't get it. I said you came in going "Woe is Tanu!" because the thread was simply discussing tags and the use and removal/keeping there-of, and you blew in from left field with; "Am I crying and about to slit my wrists? I'm laughing at your stupidity? Am I being sarcastic? Am I angry? You can not tell, but the trolls seem to be convinced that every post I make is some sort of troll bait for them or I cry for help, I dunno..." This discussion wasn't about "How have we picked on Tanu" It's a "Are tags bad, Y/N, Leave/Take Away" discussion. The rest of your post is on topic and helpful to the discussion, but martyring yourself off the bat makes me view what would have otherwise been a poignant post in a dim light. And I can only come to two conclusions on the matter; - You're either doing it on purpose. - You are woefully unaware of your. . .discussion habits. Either way, I don't think I'm going to be able to discuss the issue with you without you blowing it out of proportion/misinterpreting it (which I may admittedly being doing), so it's the last I'll say on the matter, I suppose.

I'm disappointed in your mental image of me, Snoogle.

Just going to put these over here. Sorry for breaking the site, Doug! I've just gone from "Cautious Optimism" to "Hmm" (That's an upward notch on the scale, mind you.)

Well no, but I've earned a reputation as an Internet Asshole and I figured I might as well use it from time to time. I like everyone on these forums, you all are probably the most intelligent, humorous corner of the internet I've ever found, but. . . Tanu just. . .I can't take it anymore. You are tearing me apart, Lisa!
-
And I'm going to go ahead and be an asshole for the first time. I'll remove it if it offends someones chi. Wubbles, I want the tags gone, you'll note. They're not used for much other than sniping. Which I, personally don't have a problem with for the most part. They're usually in fun (though the 'blix does complain a lot ) and they don't hurt anyone seriously. . .except apparently Tanu. No-one said anything about him and he comes into the thread, and I quote (literally!). . . Besides the "tanu doesn't get it" tag, which I honestly do not know the add-time of (before or after he commented), nothing was said about him in the thread. Add to this the fact the the poor guy often makes badly-phrased or circular arguments, and then completely changes the argument topic if he can't simply convince you. Finally, he needlessly martyrs himself whenever people don't understand him, and you can see why some people might be slightly annoyed. I have nothing against him (though I do pointedly avoid his 'debates') but I couldn't blame people for having an issue with him. I don't explicitly want to be mean to you Tanu, but coming into a thread and going "Woe is me!" when no-one has said anything, is simply annoying and tiresome. /asshole
