The Liara one I feel is valid because she's an incredibly annoying child in the first game but an actually decent (if not great) character in the second, and especially in Shadow Broker. And no, it's not because she's a child for an Asari, it doesn't take 110 years to be less of a brat.

So I decided I'd play the ME trilogy back to front, because I'd played all three games on release, which necessitates a loss of knowledge and continuity because of the time span of game releases. How anyone found anything good about ME1 is beyond me. The combat is terrible, the squad AI is the worst I've ever seen in a squad game, I want to shoot Liara into a black hole, there isn't enough Keith David (tip: there's never enough Keith David) and ho-ho-hooooly shit is some of the writing bad. Not that the last one changes much. E: Elevators, clearly invented by Satan.

Not enough corroborating evidence for that box art trend yet.

I play PS2 with the lead dev of Kinetic Void, and as far as he is able to glean it's on the up and up, so you might just be paranoid. Also La Mulana is available on like twelve other distribution platforms so what are people so up in arms about that for?

I went ahead and took Geneforge Saga, because I recently finished Avadon and that was surprisingly great. In return I have: More DotA 2 keys than there are people on earth. Shogun 2: Rise of the Samurai (requires base Shogun 2) A plethora of dumb stuff for TF2 if you for some reason still play that game. (Spy stuff es no bueno.)

It's Japan World Cup 3 and I'm offended anyone could forget its majesty.

Ubisoft, producing the worlds best bag making and dead-body-looting simulators since 2010. (This game is really good.)

The Magical Realms of Tír na nÓg: Escape from Necron 7 - Revenge of Cuchulainn: The Official Game of the Movie - Chapter 2 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa

I did play the first one. It was like the internet had sprung a leak, and in that fetid cesspit someone had created a game. -
Has anyone recommended anything by Guy Gavriel Kay? I've only just started reading his stuff (just finished The Lion of Al Rassan) but it's quite good.

Just some discussion elsewhere. Suffice to say that I think these games are the colon cancer of gaming. -

The fact that people are giving this money and not giving Peter Molyneux money is going to melt my mind. -
I must be the only person on earth who wasn't bored to death of the opening hours of the game.

Hot Chip always has the weirdest videos. -
The tree is clearly a wizard, look at that beard.

Optimization is currently, and may very well always be shit.

It was the first anime that was ever presented to me that wasn't weird high school kids shit, or stuff that made zero sense. For instance, the first thing someone tried to get me into anime with was a dude who had magical hands and could make the best bread ever. There was also some kind of Highlander shit going on between bread chefs or something, I don't know.

GitS is the only reason anyone talking to me about anime gets any more time out of me than it takes me to punch them in the face. Without GitS I would have no respect for the stuff at all. Note that Bebop doesn't count because I saw it after GitS, or it would be the reason. That said, SAC and GitS 1 are the only things I'd recommend, and even then SAC is hit and miss. It is good enough however that it is worth watching both seasons. @Baron: Because Funimation is a pretty cool company, you can find all of the Baccano! dubs here for free. http://www.funimatio...accano/episodes
-
The combat is tighter since it's not constrained by the odd problems AoC had with multidirectional melee, the objectives are both better and worse, and it plays a lot better in general. If you liked AoC, Chivalry is more of that.
-
Baccano! and GitS are the only two anime I will ever recommend. And I recommend them here.
-
Funnily enough I was just coming in here to recommend Baccano, as it's one of the diamonds in the rough that is anime. And yes, watch the dubs, they're spot on. Unfortunately it's off Netflix Instant now and the Funimation YT only has subs.

Show us the crafting, or the NPC interaction, or actual story not snippets of Albert Einstein quotes from a guy in a tiny mohawk. Hell, show me the travel options, or some more weapons, or a full mission. There's plenty they could have shown, instead it's dubstep, drug trips and CGI breasts, none of which serve to interest me about a video game. Fakedit: Also woops, turns out BRKL was right and I read the PCGamer review not the RPS one. My bad.

We knew plenty about Skyrim. Most of what we had to go on for Far Cry 3 was abysmal marketing.
