Please don't ever post spiders. :\

Sure you can. And as much as I adore the show, I'll admit there are many places where it falls flat, but because of my insanity, I ignore them. It's really the reason I watch movies at this point; to watch them. Quality typically doesn't matter, because I watch for actors more than anything. That list is pretty good though, as a starting point. And Thunder, see Blink anyway.

I will fight you for everything you have just said, TP. I'm sort of a Whedon half-fan. I adore Firefly, I really like Angel, I despise Buffy (I'm not sure how that happened, but that's how the chips have fallen) and I try very hard to forget Dollhouse exists. Still prefer Doctor Who.

Well, I know I said I wasn't a huge fan of the Roman period, but I might have lied without knowing it. . . http://thehistoryofrome.typepad.com/the_history_of_rome/2008/11/index.html This is actually really enjoyable.

I am reminded of. . .

This is utterly amazing.

I'm not sure how I managed it, but only just now, after I've seen the moon mod, do I realize how utterly batshit Minecraft and all it's mods and community are. Mind:Broken.

I believe it is something that everyone should at least experience.

I just liked the music. (Godsdamn politics, never posting videos again! )

I would say so, yes. It takes a little while (maybe 2 episodes, maybe 3, depending on preferences) for them to get back into 'the groove' but they have achieved it.

Tired of your shit, 'blix! Lets go, mano-a-mano! Because you know, cartoons are worth fighting over. I, like many, don't find Season 5 (IE. The mini-movie season) to be edifying or good, so when I talk about how "Futuruma has never really missed a beat for me" I just sort of beat the part of my mind that's going "But what about Bender's Game?!" into submission and put it in the closet. Which, coincidentally, is the best place to keep your Hitler.

I figure I should ask here, as we have a resident mad scientistman of medicine and you're all terrible clever. Other than one of the three trillion prescription sleeping aids, might anyone recommend anything for serious insomnia/whatever the hell is killing me? I've had it for most of my life in light bouts from time to time, usually when I've been stressed (college, finals in highschool, etc) but it's really starting to get worse. I've been getting about 3 hours of sleep lately, and then lying in bed for a solid two hours before giving in and starting my day. This is after sitting up doing nothing for a while at night, mind. I'm starting to go a little nuts.

I know this makes me a terrible person, but I really do prefer Commandos 3, just because of overall improvements. Yeah, the mission design is a bit shit in places, and holy hell some of the voices... But this could be because I've actually beaten C3 and C1, where as I believe I have been stuck on the third-to-last mission of C2 for some 5 or so years.

I have in fact played Desperados. It is perhaps not my favorite from the sub-genre, but it's damn good. Better than Commandos 2, certainly. In fact: http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/desperados_wanted_dead_or_alive If you don't have hands on it anymore, 'blix.

I reiterate: What Season 5. (I just sort of ignore their existence, much like Star Wars prequels, or Deus Ex 2. Or the fact that Ed McMahon is dead.)
-
What mini-movies.

Oh hey, the actually-quite-good Commandos-like Robin Hood thing is on Steam for a few dollars/pounds/quid/ruples. I'd recommend it if you're looking for something a bit offbeat but enjoyable.

I don't know, but the boss fights, as stated, even howled, many times throughout the internet by this point, are a dumb fucking thing. That said, the series of columns on either side of the room are your best option. Whenever he triple-grenades, just leg it to the other end of the row the moment he starts the animation. You just need to keep a column or two ahead of him and at all times, moving in-between his gun use. Just dump as many clips as needed into him until he drops. (Both surprisingly few and infuriatingly many, considering the game up 'til that point.)

Yeah, there are a few things like that, but even those are still pretty chuckle-worthy. When I talk about Futurama "not over-using" things, I'm thinking about things like the Harlem Globetrotters/time dialation episode. They get all the obvious (but because it's Futurama, still well done) jokes out of the way and get on with their damn show. Instead of Family Guy or South Park where they repeat the joke twenty times, and then explain it to you. Like a multifarious politician, I've heard plenty of dissenting opinions on this. I'm going to settle down and watch it now, will be back with some thoughts. Uh. . .hmm. That was certainly a thing. Not terrible you know, I mean, it's not "Sontaran Stratagem-Poison Sky" bad, but. . .we'll see.

Futurama has stayed consistently good throughout. I've never once seen them repeat something needlessly. Hell even "Good news everyone!" still makes me grin. Great show.

In sort of the same vein, I always try to miss the title sequence of Doctor Who, and see how long it takes me to know if Stephen Moffat wrote the episode. (Hint: Not long.)

Don' wanna. Just reading a thread before sleeping and then coming back and reading it while hazy leads to some weird misinterpretation/thoughts. Like wanting to yell at TP for not standing up to Kingz, because my sarcasm/satire detection doesn't kick in until I have a few glasses of tea in me.
