Might I suggest the loving embrace of our Lord, Jesus Christ? Alternatively, Switzerland. Hell, why not both.

This is simultaneously the best and worst thing I've ever read. You've got a fever, 'blix, and the only cure is more Deus Ex.

I just finished the Starfishers trilogy by Glenn Cook. Interesting departure from his usual grim fantasy. Actually pretty good sci-fi, in fact. As for poetry. . .to put it succinctly, keep that shit away from me. I can usually decipher poetry if the need arises, and I can typically understand what it's getting at, but I have no use for the stuff. It's typically pointless, annoyingly rhythmed (not a word, I know) and generally boring. Not for me.

I'm pretty sure we're all here because we have just the right ratio of elitist gaming asshole to generally good folk. It's what makes us Thumbs. Also the general interest in three to four men from the internet, but mostly the asshole bit.

Oh, yeah! No, that's totally gone. I imagine partly because now at depths beyond ~7 blocks, it gets pitch black underwater.

Woaaaaah, I'm like, totally the son of God, dude!

Haha, it came out Friday, and this only took me about three hours last night. I had been playing League of Legends before that. I've gotten considerably more expedient over the last year and a half or whatever of Minecraft. Once upon a time this probably would have taken me a good seven or eight hours. (But no, Subbes, I don't sleep. ) Purple, what do you mean? I'm using a texture pack so that could be influencing it with different water and block textures, but I'm not sure what you're getting at.

Just thought I'd share the little mushroom fortress/town I made in a swamp. The Foodspire and the mineshaft aren't done yet, and I'm not sure if I'll keep the glass panes in the shaft (they'd look really terrible on default textures) but it's 5 in the morning so even Minecraft must be interrupted. Within an hour of my starting this, two people took up residence on either edge of the swamp and started their own stilt houses. One on mushrooms and one in the trees. I'm a trend setter!

There are certain toggles so that villages and some of the new biomes don't gen in old worlds. On that note, the seed "What Will You Give Me" sans quotations, has some wonderfully weird mountains.

So uh, has Limitless been mentioned before? I had a whole movie reviewer spiel set up for this post, but I decided I'd just say this. Possibly the smartest, most entertaining movie I have seen in nigh on 4 years. Highly enjoyed.

11.11.11 is the full release date, supposedly. 1.8 is now 1.8 and 1.9, and was supposed to be Thursday. It's slated for Monday now. Wouldn't be surprised if that changes.

Other seeds in this vein: Phaeton 1662097789 Both are very slim on land, but many of the immediate (well I say immediate, bring a damn boat) islands have fun secrets.

Health regenerates only when your hunger/stamina is full. I don't know if there's an upper limit on other difficulties (which would be stupid) but it comes back to full after about a minute on Normal. Sprinting and jumping cost stamina, but the jumping cost is. . .negligible I guess. I have yet to jump enough to cause any issues. Jumping while attacking crits, charging and hitting something with sprint knocks it back 8-ish blocks. Abandoned mineshafts have brought my fear of Minecraft back. I'm still not terribly frightened of above-ground currently (Endermen don't work properly in SMP currently, unresponsive to the cursor) but mineshafts are freakishly expansive and fulled with untold creepers and blue spiders. Found three diamonds in chests though. Worth it. Also an excellent way to get minecart tracks. Have almost five stacks from two mineshafts. Haven't found a gorge/canyon yet, aboveground or otherwise. The new bow combat is incredibly satisfying. Things don't even aggro on you if you hit them from far enough away, lending to easy gunpowder farm from creepers in the morning. NPC towns are neat, and we've commandeered one for our spawns. Pretty cool, if a bit. . .ugly in places. The roads appear to automatically be gravel, and that's really, really hideous. Loving it so far. Interesting chunk error result, makes me think of an old railroad through the side of a cliff:

Oh, American Gods, certainly. That said, let me know what you think of Assassin's Apprentice. I read Shaman's Crossing, also by Hobb and found it. . .slow to start, and perhaps too heavy on the side of a thousand words when twenty will do (a la Jordan, in many ways) but I don't remember it well enough that I've been considering going back and reading it. (Reading the summary of Assassin's Apprentice makes me cringe pretty hard. "Prince Chivalry" and "King Shrewd". )

It's been wonderfully odd for me from the get-go, so I really couldn't say. It has (generally) improved and the current storyline, while somewhat cliche, is fairly interesting. If you didn't like it to begin with though, I'm not sure that'll change in any way.

So it is! Well, I hate to be the guy that jumps on the, "This writer is so great!" bandwagon, but I guess I have no choice!

I would be in to finally give an Ironhelmet game a full go. I dropped out of the Thumbs NP game because of issues, and just utterly stopped caring about that BotI game, so I need to untarnish my track record and then retarnish it by killing all ya'll fools.

Latest Warehouse 13, two things. A. Nice to see Kate Mulgrew is still around. Love her acting. B. What the fuck?! E: Via Suits on USA, possibly the best straight-faced line this year of television: Are you that pony, Mike?

Your presumptions wound me sir. (Yes, I am a filthy ignorant American and couldn't use any system of measurement the rest of the world uses without a lengthy introduction course. This saddens me deeply.)

Try 100+ for about three weeks straight. I don't handle heat well, leaving me basically dead and useless this past month.

I don't want to say this, but fuck off with that argument. There are relatively few things I'm fearful of, but spiders are it for me. The only reason I can play many fantasy MMOs is because their spiders are fucking bizarre and often don't have the right number of eyes/legs/etc. Even then I typically get a bit off-balance and my skin crawls when fighting them. I don't care if it's a picture, I don't want to fucking see it because I feel terrible for a couple hours afterwords. Don't bloody do it.

Alpha was a cool 13 dollars before he gouged the prices for his own use!?!?@*&$(+! While I admit to feeling envious of a guy who created a game by himself to start with, and the proceeded to become a multi-millionaire as a result, I think my issue with the "he doesn't work at all" statements are that they usually come from the entitled fuckwits that seem to inhabit the MC community. You guys of course aren't, but the number of times I've seen someone on the internet mouth off about "I gave him my money which means e=mC I own his ass" has bothered me a lot. Which again, isn't what you guys are saying, but it happens more often than I'd like.

Unless you are, for some reason, uninstalling and reinstalling it on a constant basis (whyyyy?) TAGES isn't really an issue. I've never had problems with it, and you can always ask the company for more activiations. Both the Riddick games are surprisingly exceptional and you should play them.
