My two biggest problems with CAD are that one thing that happened and was never mentioned again, and the fact that Buckley is a bit of a (an enormous) prick. Also as previously mentioned, it's not funny.

So basically Legendary is Tomb of Horrors. Fantastic. Guess I'll swap down the difficulty and see if I can't find my disk for the first one. E: Hahahaha. The first room goes from a rush of about 20 guys in three waves to 7, going from Legendary to Heroic. What artificial horseshit.

It's also bloody fucking impossible. How the hell do you get anything done on Legendary when you die in one shot? I'm hoping the initial combat room isn't entirely indicative. Note that I'm bad at shooters compared to some people, but holy shit.

I don't own an XBox, so any Halo I'd play would be 1/2 on PC. I'll see if I can get 2 for a reasonable price somewhere, as opposed to the 30 I think they're asking on the Microsoft site. That said, if I manage that or to find the disk and key for CE, I'll give it a shot.

My experience is admittedly limited to Combat Evolved. Which I liked, actually. But I still felt it was linear. Yeah the battles were more dynamic and open, but ultimately I feel it's still a corridor shooter. The corridors are just really big.

I sleep either on my side/stomach normally, so it's not a huge issue for me. As for the next couple of months, it's mostly just easy living, don't get too worked up, and some physical therapy here and there, if I feel I need it. It won't be too bad, it'll just be rather dull knowing I could be out running but instead I get to sit around. It's not as though I haven't been able to walk for the past few years, I'll just have a greater range of motion back now.

Well, the demo shuts off in something like 10 hours and I finally just beat Gold. Gold is the hardest multiplayer difficulty available, and it's a hell of a rush when everyone works together. Well, I'm not dead. This, I'm told is a good thing. I'll even be back home considerably sooner than I expected. I spent most of my afternoon alternating between fairly casual games and onset narcolepsy. Still, could be doing worse off, and my back doesn't hurt for the first time in years.

I would be in with the caveat (emptor) that we play the base game. Modding ArmA 2 is an enormous pain in the ass. By this I mean unmodded. I have OA.

Cover mechanics are in no way required for a stealth game. Posit: Thief. Furthering the discussion; Assassin's Creed is not that kind of stealth game. And honestly that's all the reason needed to shut your argument down. But to expand on it, a traditional stealth section would break up the games pacing too much. At least the previous ones. I'd honestly be surprised if we didn't infiltrate the camp of one army or another in 3.
