Yeah, right. E: Look, I'm going to back out of this. I personally think Notch is a good ideas man and a terrible implementer of those ideas. But maybe, maybe Shittygamename will be good. Who knows. We will see.
-
Let me be more specific. Minecrafts code is soup. Terrible, poorly optimized, strung-together-with-putty-and-lies soup. The game could run about a trillion times better than it does now, to my understanding.
-
He leaves features unfinished, promises things and does nothing about it (doesn't really bug me but compounds it), leave off completing essential features to work on some stupid idea, is an absolutely horrendous programmer and while he comes up with cool ideas, his implementation of them is questionable. Minecrafts development has been bettered a thousand fold with Jeb at the helm.

Much like AaaaaAAaaaA, I just don't see much repeatable gameplay here. Which is a shame, because I like the idea.

There was a time when I defended Notch, perhaps not staunchly, but fairly against the ravenous hordes who proclaimed he "did nothing" and "only took vacations" during the development of Minecraft. Now-a-days I realize he's actually just a terrible developer and coder with some interesting ideas. This could be okay, but my expectations are pretty low.

You mean the actual scene? It made perfect sense...

I would totally watch this.

This Deserves To Be Read And We Have No-where To Put It: The Thread

It is, yeah. He got mad as hell at it and was uh, rather needlessly vulgar. I remember the AI in that game being pretty incredible bullshit, like he talks about. Even the heaviest, most boost sucking craft suddenly has max speed and handling without a single boost. -

No Nach, this was definitely just something I found and laughed at. Iosef, WoT is an exercise in heart conditions for me. At this point I just have to have a couple drinks in me and have something like Great Big Sea on to keep my spirits up. Pubbies are the worst. -
Everything about Rango is incredible.

I will say I am beyond baffled at the response to The Hunger Games. I got through the first five chapters of it (thanks for the book for buying the Nook Color I guess, B&N) and saw where it was going, and wanted no part of it. But apparently it's "enthralling!" and "an incredible story". It's a young adults book with very transparent themes that anyone over 16/17 should have already figured out by now. I guess what I'm saying is leave the Young Adult section to young adults.

This Deserves To Be Read And We Have No-where To Put It: The Thread

I changed the title of the first post to reflect it. Don't worry about it. Late night sleep-deprivation posting has never gone well. -

Actually, the guy and the picture of Jack Black are separate. The guy was mimicking a post about F-Zero some years ago. But, the picture of Jack Black there is actually Jack Black, who took that picture and sent it to the developers themselves when he completed the game. I have the F-Zero post here but it is considerably less humorous and more offensive than funny. -
Not sure how into mashups people around here are, but this is just stupendous. http://soundcloud.com/defunk-music/defunk-presents-the-all-swung

I'm not sure how to feel about this.

This Deserves To Be Read And We Have No-where To Put It: The Thread

Look at least he correctly spelled "griefers". Also we need a thread for just quotes and junk, so now we have one. -
Like I said, I definitely didn't hear much Dutch, if any, and I'm fairly good with accents. Admittedly, most of my exposure to Dutch has been through people from that area of the world with insanely thick accents, so Dutch can definitely trip me up.
-
That portion started off very loud, yeah. I was honestly surprised they contained the lewdness to a single scene this time around. The pilot was drowning in TnA. As for Melisandre, I honestly didn't notice much of an accent. A proto-typical "fantasy voice" affectation, but she certainly didn't sound Dutch.

If I understand what you're saying, that's exactly what they did. They showed a three or four minute recap of last season, and then spent about five minutes with all of the major plotlines. POTENTIAL SPOILERS-ISH Tyrion has shown up at King's Landing to take his place as interim Hand of the King, riles up Cersei. Joffrey is a complete dick to Sansa, his mother and basically everyone. Baelish gets wrangled into finding Arya. The Nights Watch ends up in the last inhabited Wildling village and finds out about Mance Raiders plans. Rob and his mother discuss bringing the Greyjoys into the war in their side. Rob and Jaime verbally spar for a bit, quite good acting on both parts. Daenrys and her remaining Khaleesar are crossing the Red Waste. The last we see of her for the episode is sending outriders to find the nearest end of the Waste. A purge of the bastard children of Robert Baratheon is begun by the Kings Guard. The final scene is Arya and Gendry on the wagon north to the Wall.

The Arma 2 + Operation AH thread of 'let's try this again'
Orv replied to Lu 's topic in Multiplayer Networking
Wait, ArmA was last night? -
Well, Game of Thrones season 2 started off a bit slowly, but I'm already experiencing those slight withdrawal symptoms. Not sure how I feel about Melisandre yet, but Stannis looks like he'll be good. Also the caught me by surprise.

Represent. Seriously though, I got an old Atari 2600 from my uncle and it all basically went downhill from there.

NeoGAF is... questionable at times. No offense not-insane NeoGAF people! I hope I'm not the only one that might express a want for additional podcast cross-over on occasion.
