Don't get me wrong, I don't worship at his dark altar or anything, but I really, really liked Firefly and Angel, and Buffy wasn't bad. I feel like there's more to be gotten from Firefly, but I can happily accept that what we have is it. It's sort of a morbid curiosity as to what else he could do. (Dollhouse was a festering pile of shit.)

To be fair, LoL will teach you both some of the necessary mechanics and also instill you with a few bad habits. If you can handle it (and find an invite), just jump right into DotA and get used to it.

While I was trying to level the southern city to a certain height, all the villagers were just gone when I looked up after an hour of work. Pissed me the hell off. -
I don't have a solid rule. I generally operate on a "slow hook" procedure. - If a game shows me something intriguing (cool looking, confusing, mysterious, bizarre) in the first half hour, I'll give it another half hour to... - Shock me. Whether it be a "HOLY SHIT" moment, or something that just disturbs/disgusts me, or a "Huh, I... huh, okay, sure... huh" moment, if it can give me this, I'll keep playing it until I finish or something completely annoys me. OR - Give me a moment I will always remember. Doesn't have to be something big, just a little quirk or amusement I will remember for a long time to come. I then continue to play under the previously mentioned terms. If a game - Angers me - Has terrible controls/UI (by terrible I mean totally incomprehensible or unusable, not just poor) or - Is simply broken In the first half hour, I typically don't play it any longer. Of course, all games are subject to exemption from any of these rules depending on how I feel that day, if it does something completely insane or any number of factors. The most typical exemption is a game just being fun for one reason or another, and I don't care what it delivers as long as I keep enjoying myself.

Even if it was Joss Whedon, with the budget he should have had and a full four seasons to tell the whole story?

Burn the witch.

I'd be interested, depending on the racing games in question.

I'll say that you cannot learn or be proficient with Warband melee in a matter of hours. It takes a lot of time, and half of that is getting to the point where you can make small enough movements that you're not spinning 90 degrees to do things.

If it makes you feel any better, GW2 is really, really incredible.

I don't know why I continue to watch police/crime procedural shows when my knowledge of law basically invalidates half or more of what occurs in them. I started watching Flashpoint recently, and they're better at it then most, but it's a rare day even for them when they point out the fact that the guy who didn't harm anybody, but did take hostages and surrender is still going away for a decade or more.

Let me know when T2 gets a release date.

I won't be around for either ArmA or M&B this weekend due to Guild Wars 2 beta, but I should be up for it after that.

Random Draft is the one true mode.

Warband seems the best bet, with or without Napoleon Wars. A group of people cooperating in Warband in team modes can wreck a fair amount of face.

Yeah, I watch Warehouse 13 because I really like the actors behind Mika, Pete, Artie and Miss Fredericks. It's just fun camp.

Barathrum (SB) is basically inescapable if he catches you alone and you don't stun him on his way in.

Everyone should really read this. http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3447397&userid=0&perpage=40&pagenumber=1

I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but I tend to watch TV/cinema for the actors rather than the rest of it, and Kevin Sorbo, between Andromeda. Hercules and Beastmaster, he is right up there in my "List of guys I would have no objections playing ever male lead role ever"

So Games of Thrones pulled the ever crowd pleasing "hot rat bucket" trick last episode. On the other hand, The Adventures of Tits and Lemonface (Sci-fi's "Lost Girl") is in no way worth watching.

Per usual I'm available whenever the mood strikes me.

Continuing the poor balance from Warband, cavalry utterly annihilates anyone on foot. You can buy a grenade, which will kill several people with ease, for just under your "respawn cash". Respawn cash is that 1000 gold allowance for equipment you get with every respawn. If you buy grenades and kill four or five people for each death, you can be completely decked in full place and a giant zwiehander which will allow you to reap musketeers as though they were so much wheat. This takes about 6 good lives. Also their implementation of firearms in WFaS is horrendous. Napoleons is considerably better.

Lucky Number Slevin is probably the best recent revenge tale. Recent not including things like The Cask of Amantillado and The Count of Monte Cristo.

Uh, I'd like to point out two things. Fire and Sword is terrible. Really, really bad. The community dropped in a matter of days after its release. Warband is where it's at. Two, Warband is standalone, but also has a freshly released expansion for the Napoleonic era of warfare.
