I vaguely remember a fair bit of speculation that the Smoke Monster was a dinosaur, or something? Or a landshark? Some kind of inane bullshit.

Seriously guys, we all know it's Valhalla.

I've been messing around trying to see if it's possible to reach sufficient speeds on the surface of Minmus to achieve spaceplane takeoff without touching the steering. Unfortunately I'm not sure it's possible. I get severely depressed when I screw up and Jeb eats it on each new program. Thankfully, there always seems to be a Kerbal in each batch that gives exactly zero fucks. Spinning wildly out of control towards the surface of Mun? Is our RPM above 20,000? No? Who cares.

Sorry Chris, my classic literature taste is all over the place. I like Orwell but I don't like Steinbeck. I can stomach Dickens but I much prefer London. I'll read Plato as close to the original as you can get, but you won't find a single Homeric epic in my library. Gatsby just never clicked for me like say, Dumas did. Yes, Gatsby is a single title where-as Dumas is an author, I know one of you will call me on this, the problem is I enjoyed what I read of Tender Is The Night. A friend who is trying to become a literary critic once described me as "A bundle of opinions that serve only to prove how pointless my (his) job is." E: I guess the bright side to that... thing, is that I'm listening to stuff by Jack White again, so hooray.
-
Remember the masterstroke/travesty that was Romeo + Juliet? Yeah. Except where that worked despite being a terrible fucking idea, this won't. Though to be fair, Gatsby is terrible in the first place. E: It's a shame too. I was starting to like DeCaprio as an actor. E2: I can also just hope that it's a case of trailer != movie, but that's unlikely.

You could just not watch it in 3D.

I do mean Ian Fleming, and even being immensely sleep deprived is no reason to mix up those two, of all people. Sorry!

The Arma 2 + Operation AH thread of 'let's try this again'
Orv replied to Lu 's topic in Multiplayer Networking
It'll be fairly limited, actually. -
Run nothing but the three ultimate skills and Wrenching Stomp on Barbarian, every day.
-
I'll of course be seeing it, because I unironically like James Bond films (even if, having read the books, I have nothing but disdain for the original Bond character/Bank's writing) but all I can think watching that trailer is, "I don't care how much you love the ladies, James, letting anyone else shave you is a terrible idea."
-
You should totally check out the OP of the ArmA thread.

I actually browsed the old forums (and any forum) looking for the bolded thread tags indicating that there were new posts. I can't do that because now everything is bold!

Not one worth knowing. The cinematics serve all the cool you need. Especially the Act 2 one.

I enjoy being a bagpipist and trying to find groups of the enemy team who will shelter me. Also, regarding Criken, when the GTA 4 car friction mod came out, I wished someone would do some MP footage of that. And he did. It's great.

The worst part about is that she's voiced by Claudia Black, whom I immensely enjoy as an actor, and that dropped that the tiniest of bearable notches for me. (Chloe from Uncharted if you're some kind of sci-fi agnostic jerk. And Morrigan from DA:O, and... oh here. )

I feel like yes, but for all the wrong reasons? Still processing.
-
That sounds nothing like him! To be fair, neither does Brewmaster, so the guy has a job for a reason, I suppose. Other than being a cool guy.
-
Citizen Kane is a movie. (Just watched it for the first time.)
-
Is the male lead the same guy from NMH?
-
It feels... light? Airy? After Diablo 3 it feels like it lacks punch. Everything feels floaty and dull.
-
I got a key, somehow. So I'll be up for it whenever I'm around. Best bet is to catch me on Steam.

SPOILERS The best part is when we first get introduced I think he's a bratty little kid and I just write it off as yet another Child King With Too Much Power. Then he suddenly appears in the godsdamned sewers for no reason and tells you that if they were suspicious he had sided with you, they'd kill him. Oh yeah, you're not the Prince of Lies at all, are you. Blizzard.

What I don't understand is how is this different from every other ARPG? It's how the genre works. Click, loot, compare, rinse, lather, repeat. Maybe some have deeper stat or skill systems, but in the end it's all in the name of loot and exploding monsters. And don't even try to tell me there's an ARPG with good story.
-
When is this happening, anyway? I haven't really been paying attention. E: I had forgotten about jazzhands doodledoo man.

John Walker, one of the RPS chaps, calls the game "a hollow experience". I'm lead to wonder if Walker intentionally chooses to "review" genres he doesn't like. I don't think I've seen a complimentary Wot I Think from him ever. I'm definitely enjoying the game more than I thought I would. I've "beaten" the game by this point (ie. seen the whole story), and now it's just the number upgrade cycle for me, and eventually trying to win a Hardcore game through all four difficulties. I get how it can be boring (and D2 was dull as dust to me), but calling it hollow is just... I don't think he plays ARPGs for the right reason. (Though that in itself is a tenuous idea.) As for Blizzard storytelling, let's just say my friend and I correctly guessed every single story beat and were wanting to kill Leah by the end. They still do incredible cutscenes though. E: Also, Dominic Keating voices the Templar, so who cares how good the game is.
