  1. Deadly Premonition

I feel like I'm reading a declassified military document. . . Also, Snoogle, best song ever.
  2. Homeworld Hard Truck (The original) Morrowind/Oblivion (Specifically the Main Theme from Morrowind and Reign of the Septims from Oblivion. They will always be stuck in my head. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTi19MH5sx0&feature=related To be even more specific :10 to :26 in Reign of the Septims. Always makes me smile.)
  3. (IGN.com)

Tell me that's not an actual movie. . .Please?

What tickles me (insert colour here) about Two Worlds 2, is that it won't be particularly hard to top the first one. Which "intrigues" me as to why everyone is trying to murder the thing in pre-release. The first one was a very generic sort of hack-and-slash, with a couple interesting ideas. That's about it. Not hard to top that. If nothing else, it was a very expansive world, and I enjoy that.

Gerbil, when does the offer run out? I've always wanted to play Sam and Max, but 90 bucks was a bit over my 'free cash' threshold. Also, if you're a whorible person for economic simulations, as I am, The Guild 2 in its entirety is on GamersGate for 15 bucks. (Along with various other somewhat generic simulation games.)
  6. Pretty graphics

In this case, it's stupendous. I'd still like to see that setting as a game, mind you.
  7. Pretty graphics

*Retrieves his jaw from the basement* My only complaint here is that it's the CryEngine, and I don't know how that would do for, say, a third-person RPG. Not sure how this sort of environment lends itself to an FPS. Ah well. Still, amazing work.
  8. Annoying gaming news site headlines

My pun-filter just BSODed, well done.
  9. Recently completed video games

Dawn of War 2's expansion campaign. I also managed to get my Chaos Sorcerer in Last Stand to 20, so I'm happy with that. Splinter Cell Conviction (Campaign, Co-op, Deniable Ops, MP Vs) Assassin's Creed 2 BioShock 2 (I am late to the party on both of those, jeeze) Dragon Age:O - The Expansioning Garry's Mod. How, you ask? I build a functional laser robot dinosaur. As far as I'm concerned, I win the game. Half-Life 2 (I hate Half-Life, never played 2 until now. Still hate it.) Now it's off to play through King Arthur.
  10. La Celle Splintereux: Conviçion

As much as I love Conviction (I still play through a Deniable Op or two a day at this point, and at least one MP Vs match) Get Just Cause 2. It'll last you a lot longer, and if you're already a SC fan, you won't be wracked with disappointment and fear/anger at the new direction of the series. (Which, honestly, as much as I enjoy it, I am a bit as well.) I have to agree with Toblix after playing through the campaign in its entirety. It just funnels you into these gunfights. Though I could usually do things like popping lights in certain places and getting takedowns and executions enough to make a gunfight not so. . .fighty, it was still a bit actiony for my taste. But still, Batman with Guns.

Disclaimer: Demo only It's too Special Move centric. Get behind someone, hit F, end of fight. The only people that get to do any real FPSing are the Marines, and they just get swarmed by aliens and have their throats ripped out. There was a real lack of Pred toys in the demo as well, so that isn't a good sign. It's up to you, naturally, but if you're looking to revisit 2, look elsewhere.
  12. La Celle Splintereux: Conviçion

Batman With Guns. That's how I feel about Conviction after 3 levels of the campaign. I'm not entirely sure what you're running into that mauls into a huge firefight, Toblix. The only time I run into a gun battle, an excessive one at least, is when I screw up. I've never been particularly awesome at SC single-player. Co-op was more my fashion. But I'm able to sneak-thief things pretty easily. . .until I miss a manual headshot, or don't realize the depths of the next pool of shadows because of the greyscale. Either way, enjoying it immensely so far. It's nice to see Sam being as vicious as I was about things in CT.

Britain is awesome. That is all. As for old computers, I thought I was the only one with a computer from 2003 in the world anymore. Admittedly, only the mobo and CPU are still from then, but that's all that really needs to be to hold me back.

Now, I'm an Amuricun. This means I'm stupid. I see Splinter Cell: Conviction, on GAME Download for 24.99 Euros. My tiny American brain tells me (I was never good at math) this is about 32-ish USD. Am I crazy here? Can I get Conviction for a third off if I buy it from the awesome side of the pond?
  15. Flotilla

Devouring this like the maniac for weird stuff I am. Love the music, the gameplay, the 'story', the atmosphere in general. I wish I'd known about it prior to it's release on Steam, but I'm glad I at least have it now. Back tomorrow with renditions (in 3/4th time) of my adventures better bits.
  16. Piracy has hit a new low....

As far as I understand, you access the download page for all 6 games with a key you receive on purchase. So they're likely tracking multiple uses of the same key. Not exactly the most precise system, but it's a good idea. I payed half of the price of each game total, and enjoyed them quite a bit. It's a shame people are doing this.
  17. E3 2010

Warhammer 40K MMO. Omnf nomf nomf. In all seriousness however, I think E3 has fallen from it's perch ever since it's resurrection. It's no-longer the 'go to' gaming conference. (I was going to say "the go to GDC" and then it occured to me GDC is the go to GDC. Whups.) As it stands, it's still a place to go and see vidjima games. Just not as much as it used to be.
  18. I need help identifying a game

So maybe this section of the internet has some idea. (It's entirely possible I went into a coma for 5 months and dreamed this, as no-one has any idea yet.) MMO Developed/Published by Sierra or a parent company You developed a base with worker vehicles and such in a 3d strategy view You could then go and raid other peoples bases in a first-person view. I seem to remember hoverboards? . . .That's all I can really give you. Again, I may be crazy.
  19. New people: Read this, say hi.

Let me start off with this: You people are frightening. . .in your awesome. So I found Idle Thumbs courtesy of Flotilla, and have been enjoying the acid trip that is the 'cast archive on the old site. I've even purchased and been playing Far Cry 2, because throughout, you just won't shut up about it. Luckily, it is, in fact, awesome. There's a place here in Texas (and entirely possibly other places in the U.S.) called Macaroni Grill. Italian place. They used butcher paper in place of tablecloths, and are kind enough to provide crayons. I apologize for what is to follow. I know, horrendous. I couldn't stop grinning while doing it though. And yes, my artistic skill is non-existent, thanks for asking. Here's to more madness.
