I still have yet to finish AC2. I love the Assassin's Crypts (Big fan of the old PoP games, haven't yet tried the new one), but I hate the free-running in this one. I can't quite quantify the idea either. Something about it just feels off to me. Then again, the first one was flawed as well. I would say that at. . .8/9? hours into AC2 (I have 17) I think you've basically 'finished' the game. You've experienced the width and breadth of combat ideas, free-running ideals (like the new water escape system, and the light guards that chase you) and more or less the core game. Now, at 8/9 hours in, unless you're bullrushing the main storyline, you don't have things like Leonardo's flying machine, or the gun, or that sort of nonsense. I don't think those are necessary to enjoy AC (1 or 2) in the context of it's core mechanics. I think they are nice bits of fluff that have only appeared for the second game, and therefore are not needed for enjoyment of it. If you liked the first, you'll like the second, but possibly up to a point. It stares at me from my Steam window every day, taunting me. I want to finish it, I want to uninstall it, but I can't bring myself to do either. Edits: Hell, at 8/9 hours, I don't think I was even to a new city yet. I still felt slightly bored of the whole thing.
  2. GamersGate sale

GamersGate always has the stuff I am least interested in, on sale. It annoys me. Edits: I just watched the Planet Alcatraz video. Oh my fluffy lord. I'm not sure whether to howl with laughter or cry tears of blood and anguish over that voice work.
  3. Bandanaman is I. As my computer exploded two days after it started, and I didn't have internet for another three after that, I said f--- it. My deepest apologies for AFKing in my first (and probably last, as I just couldn't force myself to try and preserve my tiny empire) game.
  4. Engineer Update

Fixedededed. Just as I'm running empty on interest in TF2. =/
  5. So I'm probably about to give up the goose here: My computer slowly died over the last month or so, ending with being unable to connect to the internet. I've reformatted and have been rebuilding my list of software and such the past few days. I imagine I'm rather screwed. Edit 1: Ah. . .yes. Yes I am.
  6. Thi4f

I have this intense urge to punch animals, small children, or priests. . . *RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE* God his humor is shameful.
  7. Truly, the world has lost a great font of win.
  8. If you're going to do this (I already basically did what you have there.) You should find a way to combine them all instead of simply one after the other. There, you have a new project until the next podcast comes out. Still. You've now replaced a different remix every 7 songs with every remix, every 7 songs.
  9. Snoogle, you've ruined me. I am beholden unto your madness. I have one of your remixes every seven songs. Which means every seven songs of Richard Ashcroft Great Big Sea Simon and Garfunkel Garbage Peter Gabriel The Eagles and various chiptunes I hear one of your remixes. It brings me joy. And fear. Editations: I'm going to go combine all of Snoogle's remixes into a single track and plug it into Audiosurf. . .

  11. Summer Steam Sale

Grabbed the entirety of HoI3 (vanilla + SF + DLC) for around 24. Grabbed myself an old favorite in Majesty for 5. Grabbed Kane and Lynch also for 5. I, however, have the media control input problem via my keyboard, and will be purchasing a new one. (Not like I ever use the side buttons anyway.) Grabbed myself another EVE account, because my interest in the game remains and it's becoming clear I can't do everything I want with a single one. (I make enough ISk via account 1 to never pay real money for account 2.) So now, I sit here. Happy with my purchases (even K&L, despite the problems), staring at the HoI3 main menu. I remember why I never got Europa Universalis, or other games of theirs. THE FUCKING TIME CONSTRAINTS. God I hate being forced to play XXXX year to XXXX year with nothing else available. Yes, yes, it's a WW2 stratego game, but it still drives me up a wall.

350ish. Probably more in the range of 400, considering it's a back-tally. (Thinking back trying to calculate how much time I put into it a day back in the day.)
  13. Recently completed video games

After 3 and almost a half years, 45 hours on my Steam version, at least 100 on my D2D copy, and a good 2-- on my disk, I've completed Oblivion. I mean, completed. Every dungeon is cleared of both badies and loot (there is not a single, non-respawning piece of equipment, miscelany or what-have-you, ANYWHERE) All the DLC is completed to the utmost possibility. My character is utterly maxed. I have a Global Thermonuclear War spell. (Max range, max damage in all three wheels of pain, etc) I have every piece of every armor set in various places about the world. (Mostly DLC houses) I have at least four sets of Imperial Guard armor, because of various calamities that have occured. (Miscasting my Tac-Nuke being one. Woops, sorry Chorrol.) Everything possible has been visited. All quests are complete. The Second Coming of Christ has occurred. (I make it a point to drop by the Arena every three or four days. ) I'm sorely tempted to mod in quests and such, but I fear any additional mods will obliterate my computer on start-up. It is with heavy heart that I back-up my save and uninstall Oblivion. *Taps plays in the background as the Adoring Fan is punted from a mountain*

  15. Dinosaur Fence remains my favorite, but I liked the changes in this.
  16. This promises to be an exciting exercise in "WTF" for me. Let's get 'er goin'. Hnh. So this is where I'm stupid. As my alias is already in the game (somehow?) do I join as what I've 'drawn' or whatnow? I apologize for my stupidity in advance. I is new hur. Further edits: Why yes, yes I am stupid. Ignore my question. *Puts on his "Reading Comprehension Fail" hat and sits in the corner*
  17. . . .I am a prophet, clearly. And gorram, that Watson is indeed, one creepy motherf---.
  18. Listening to Idle Thumbs on mah Nook whilst reading Sherlock Holmes. My IQ is going sideways. I love it.
  19. This needs to be a on a t-shirt.
  20. I'm all in. *Pushes a pile of skelk bones onto the table*
  21. Portal 2

Aaaactually Toblix, I'm going to have to agree here. The airboat portion could have been just 1 area and I would have been happy with that. That happens at least twice, IIRC, in other sections that are just simply to protracted. Admittedly, I say this being the only person in the existence who hates the Half-Life series to begin with, but I've still played them.
  22. I now have three flavors of DF sitting on my desktop. I love this game. Further thoughts on when/how we're going to get going?
  23. Child of Eden

I've kept watching their conference in the hopes they'll "recapture my imagination" with "games I can (f---ing) feel". Project Dust screamed at the god-game centers of my brain "POPULOUS!" I'm intrigued.
  24. Child of Eden

See, here's the problem. *Child of Eden trailer* DO WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANT *Ubisoft Lasertag* FUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu They sort of canceled each other out.
