  1. Cataclysm

Un'Goro was the worst perpetrator of this nonsense in the old world. And while I admit things like "Tonight We Dine In Havenshire" and "Grand Theft Palamino" made me grin, that's all they did. In time, they became obtrusive. As much as MMOs ruin their own story telling and mythos with the fact that Player #930918129031 just killed The Great Bad Fellow five minutes before me, seeing pop-culture references annoys me after a time. (Keep in mind, I don't find Family Guy, Jackass or South Park funny. I may not have a sense of humor.)
  2. Fallout: New Vegas

*Insert gales of maniacal laughter for about 10 minutes here*
  3. Since BG2 didn't actually release on GOG today, I'm going to give this a try without having played in a couple months. Eep. Provided I had access to the save. . .what am I missing here?
  4. Fallout: New Vegas

6 hours. 1 crash (I suspect because my computer couldn't handle it, but might also be a bug crash) Not tired of it yet.
  5. Fallout: New Vegas

My gameplay stands at exactly 100 minutes. Because I am retarded, and couldn't find one of the plants for the tutorial mission, I shot the tutorial person in the face and went exploring before my brain shut off for the night. The differences are both immediate and subtle, never at the same time of course, but both flavors exist. Everything is not tinged green all the time. Iron-sights is a blessing, and at times a curse, but I like it much better than Q3 zoom from FO3. Giant preying mantis are the new radroach. Appropriate. A quote from Wayne Newton, on the machine you use to choose your stats: "I once tried one of those Vit-a-matic Vigour things to test my charisma. The machine burst into flames." The new radio is awesome, and not just because of Wayne Newton. They have songs like Big Iron and Blue Moon and that is just it for me. DYNAMITE. Actual sticks, not a review. Freaking hilarious. A douchebag sheriff who takes the credits for you rescuing him for himself. "That sure was invigorating, escaping from those bandits. . .not to belittle your contribution, of course." Both hate and love that kind of character. Voice actors galore. At least 15 separate voices in my 100 minutes alone. A valued improvement. Now if you'll excuse me, I have wasteland to defile.
  6. Fallout: New Vegas

. . .I don't get it. Do they know? Are they mocking us? Do they not realize what they have, yet again, done? Either way. . . IGN.com
  7. Minecraft

Someone started building a giant "YOU MUST GATHER YOUR PARTY BEFORE VENTURING FORTH" sign. I owe this person both a hug and a backhand. That phrase and voice are indelibly etched in my mind for all of my life, and I couldn't breath for about 5 minutes upon encountering the sign.
  8. Minecraft

I took a giant tour tonight. Color me very, very impressed. Also very, very sad. I have no imagination.
  9. Minecraft

Yeah, anyone that comes over from Mongbat (a guild in which I is a member) won't be a griefing expletive here. I do need to get back to MC, though.
  10. I might call it if no-one else does by Wednesday. I'll need that long to moderately reacquaint myself.
  11. Hot scoops from inside EA - honest....!

I have. I have a CE. I still go back to it from time to time. Still don't have a problem with Paul Barnett.
  12. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

Not strictly a YouTube video, but it is a couple hours of a Frenchman crapping himself in fear, and making me question whether I really want to play Amnesia or not. http://www.livestream.com/brocraft/video?clipId=pla_8c7bc48a-701a-47c0-bfe3-e75c4dd58d85
  13. Hot scoops from inside EA - honest....!

I don't see anything wrong there, sorry. Just a guy into his job. (And perhaps cocaine.)
  14. Hot scoops from inside EA - honest....!

I think, as CFish pointed out, he just gets really, really into things he's excited about. Too much, at times, which leads him to seem like he's trying to hard. He's just really excited about the idea. Also, if you watched his cellphone blogs for WAR development, his PR sessions are fueled by sugar and cafination out the ass.
  15. minecraft server new world?

If there is snow on the ground, you have to break it with a shovel to create snowballs.
  16. Minecraft

Different blocks have different damage values for TNT based on material and how close they are to the TNT block itself.
  17. Hot scoops from inside EA - honest....!

While I'm not the biggest fan of EA, I have to agree with Dan. His perceptions of what occurred in those offices are probably somewhat skewed. And again, with Dan, some of it is probably true. I like Warhammer, I still play it from time to time. But, it didn't exactly do spectacular. That said, it has lasted a full two years, which is something a fair number of MMOs in the world can't say these days. Ah well, the internet rolls on.
  18. I am Iron Man (Is there a doctor in the house?)

So uh, at the next Thumbs meet-up, someone needs to wear a trench' filled with magnets. Good to hear you won't be exuding iron pellets from your orify, Thunder.
  19. Do you not feel betrayed Jake? Listening now. Post-listen: Huh, I quite liked that.
  20. minecraft server new world?

Push the button, Frank. I'm up for new worldage.
  21. Thumb Association

    No! . . . Yes.
  22. Fable 3

I have this horrible feeling, that if someone created a moral ambiguity system with shades of grey and black and white as is real life, either the game itself would suffer, it would be the entire game or the universe would collapse in on itself. (I'm having this horrible problem with run-on sentences lately and I do not know why. . .)
  23. Minecraft

That looks pretty godsdamned awesome. I can't wait to STRIP MINE HELL and make a hell fortress in the main world.
  24. Wizaaaaaards!!

I will forever imagine that somewhere, in this wide world of ours, there is a comic and/ magazine that has an optional Delivered by Wizardry option. Where-in, a wizard will magic himself to your house, hand you your magazine and turn your aunt into a toad. Additional fun fact: The site I'm getting my Morrowind mods from. . .the URL. . .is. . . abusemynipples.biz. . .
  25. I have determined the speed at which Idle Thumbs Episodes and my pertinent stored memory converge. If I watch the archive at a certain speed, I will always be able to re-listen to Idle Thumbs. By the time I reach 51, I've forgotten 1-30/5. This is a beast you have created, Remo.
