So portal logic is pretty awesome. Each chunk of overland has a specific "exit" in Hell. (The Nether, whatever) You can place any number of portals you like in a overland chunk, they will all come out of the same portal. By the same dint, every portal in a 16 block radius in Hell, will always come out of the same chunk in the overland. Now you are thinking with portals. * Du-ding!* I set the forest on fire to celebrate my math and science classes finally being useful. Flaming hellfort! Portals in the background.

The Fall of Tanagra http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jnRrrghSyg#t=1m5s I'll keep it short and sweet. Before: After: /warp orvidos will take you to the Tanagra Crater Viewing Platform. Thanks to Doug and Monkey for the help lacing the entire city with TNT. (There's also a fairly substantial cave system under the crater, that used to have an entrance inside a house. That house no-longer exists.) -
Oddly enough, despite how weird I am, I've never done anything non-prescribed/advil. That said, DRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGS. We are all on them. This Back To The 90s moment brought to you by a slight sugar high, on account of Orvidos' donuts having too much of it. (Edit: Come to think of that, was that song even as early as the 90s? Hnh.) (Edit Numero Dos: Nope. 2005. Now I feel even older.)

Gotta go with the Planescapes of dem Tormentaries.

Well, I had the ability to move the appointment up to yesterday, and got simultaneously some good and bad news. Apparently, I'm pretty seriously godsdamned sleep deprived. By about 3 weeks worth, in total. (Not that I've stayed up for 3 weeks, but that I have't slept enough in that time) I've been trying to get my schedule back to something that isn't "wake up at noon" and apparently, that isn't a good idea for me. I lol'd, pretty hard. The good news is, there is a simple fix. Lower my bi-polar med dosage and get more sleep. A doctors note for sleeping, were I working currently, would be the best thing, ever. So yes, not (completely) crazy, but still a little. Nothing that can't be controlled.

And Minecraft will now consume all my free time, once again.

Perhaps not your best work. -
Miffy, if you have texture problems, give this bit a try. http://nwn.bioware.com/support/patch_english_hotu.html Alternatively, if you have problems selecting colors for skin, hair and tattoos in character creation, try fudging about up near the Body arrows with the box open. It's apparently been badly displaced.

So I've just spent the day without any sort of electronic entertainment what-so-ever. The power was out most of the day, and when that came back up, cable, 'net and phone were gone. My car is in the shop this week, so I'm pretty sure the gods are out to get me. . . Either way, in my spirally descent into gibbering, reality-fueled madness, I've realized I am fucking insane. This concerns me slightly, so I think I'll go get checked out. Appointment is on Monday, and I'm not sure if I want to learn about anything worse than bi-polar. Bah. Edit for clarification: Being able to hallucinate at will and hearing things is bad, yes?

I didn't see anyone destroying Steve's world in the RPS comments, so I went ahead. This does mean I have to finish BS2 though. . .

Sweet zombie jesuses. Neverwinter Nights 1. My second favorite (and first favorite online) RPG. Day One Perch, right there. (Also, holy shit, the server I used to play on still exists. Wtf.)
-
Pirate. I like ya man. But I'm going to have to hurt you for that.
-
I originally put the 'awesome face' in here, but instead, I'll just say this. In the wasteland, flying off a bridge. . .
-
I'm not entirely sure either. But I tell ya what, I really liked the style of the 3d sections. The old games look? While I don't mind it, like Jared said, it doesn't exactly tug at my heart strings.

Fire jumps three blocks. (Technically 4.) Lava will ignite leaves/wool/wood/trees within 4/5. Not quite sure which.

My spy knife in TF2 is named The Body-count of Monte Cristo.

The Rangers advance to the baseball World Series. Meaning the Yankees don't. This thrills me.

So this is retailing for 60 US, at least on Steam. I feel amused, sad and vindicated.

Skype. I used to use MSN and XFire, but I realize now that both of those are horrible, shitty things.

I think I was pretty underleveled for Nipton at the time, and come to think of it, that second set of Assassins might have just been random Legion. Either way, they kicked my face in pretty quick.
-
Also on note of the Legion, slightly spoilery, but eh. In the first big interaction with them, I decided to kill their group. Obviously, the game does not want you to do this. One, it is an overwhelming force with overwhelming weaponry. Second, shortly there-after (I presume upon reaching a certain status with Caeser's Legion) a squad of Legionnaire Assassins are sent after you. And they keep coming. I drove off the first only because I was in an NCR camp. The second, I fought (reloading frequently, I believe 9 times) for a half-hour before giving in. I simply could not take these foes at my level and equipment register. I opted to reload before killing the occupational forces. I look at this situation both as A. The game is gating me, somewhat unfortunately, but understandable. and B. Awesome faction interaction. So I'm not sure where I stand on the whole deal. I had a STALKER moment, similar to this. I found a group of Legion soldiers and NCR fighting on a road. Like many occasions in the Fallout 3/NV engine, I found this firefight because of gunshots in the distance. If there is one thing this engine does well, it's the sound gunfire in a giant wasteland. I immediately follow it to this fight, watched from a fairly short distance away, and then looted everything I could. Which was all of the fighters except one. Now, because I was a lot closer to bullets than I probably should have been, the experience was ruined for me. It was like STALKER, two sides duking it out without any interference/interaction from me, but the mood was ruined. One of the Legion Recruits was using a repeater rifle, and his head kept clipping down through the butt of the gun when he would bring it up to his shoulder. The AI in the game is not specifically tweaked to allow this to happen, so instead of a fairly dynamic STALKER AI fight, they all stood at 10 feet from each other in a circle and fired until all but one were dead. I'm still enjoying the game, but that ruined the rest of the mystique of that play-session for me.

This sums up a third of my problems with JRPGs. Shitty, shitty, shitty story. The other two thirds being gameplay and fanboys. (The third, third, is actually characters. All of them.)

To be perfectly honest, I'm surprised this hasn't happened before. With the amount of raging internet douchebags who think forking over 10/13 euros/dollars allows them to own Notch's soul, I'm fairly surprised no-one has gone "FUCK YOU, MAKE THE GAME OR YOUR SITE DIES" before now. Meh. Internet. It's full of fools. Edit: My earlier thoughts hold true, but it seems it isn't an attack. Also, on the first post about it being an attack (before he figured out it isn't), the comments are, for once, less filled with rage, and more filled with Star Wars jokes. . . .What? Further editations: It was an attack. I remain amused.
