/BenStein Well just because no-one loves you, is that a reason to get so angry? /BenStein Tanu, to be perfectly honest I'm a bit of a dick, but I managed to ingratiate myself with our forum overlords enough that I haven't been hammered in the face. I don't think there's anyone on here that logs on to ruin someones day, or make serious disparaging remarks. They're all here to carry on the gigantic BS fest that was the podcast, or, if they were here before, because they can put up with the new people. No-one's out to get you, they're just out to make you think that.

Having beat Spelunky once, I can safely say I will never touch that thing again. Or any platformer, ever.

Squid, normally I would agree with that sort of logic, except I know several people whose cat names don't quite mesh with the cat in some way. A very large, very lazy cat (at least these days) was named Speedy as a kitten. He is decidedly not. And while changing a cats name isn't something you do, well. . . And besides, Aurelius is already very regal about things. I was just woken up by being nipped on the nose once, at which point he sat very carefully on my chest and stared at me, and didn't move of make a sound until I acknowledged him. That said, I'm looking for another cat currently, and the name I have on the boiler is Quixote, but Heisenberg is also a definite fore-runner.
-
And I just named a Persian cat Marcus Aurelius, oh shit. I might have to look more into Professor Elemental.
-
Afraid not. He's mostly grey with this streak white across his forehead that gives him a very serious expression at times.
-
All excellent ideas (especially the actual Pavlovian experiment with the name), but I've gone with Aurelius, via Marcus. I'm planning to get another one soon, so it may just have to be Caeser, but I'll keep all of these in mind.

Oh man. I'll catch up with you tomorrow, but have you considered a less hazardous hobby?

If I'm reading this right, you can rig up a music machine with redstone. Awesome. -
Quite. And I'm having problems with a name. Do any fellow Thumbs have an idea for a kitten/cat name? It's a Persian Shorthair and is the cutest thing known to man. Names, people!

I hope to the gods I'm echoing someone from earlier in the thread, but thanks to Netflix I'm reliving; Eureka (Season 1 at the moment) and enjoying the ever-loving monkey-spank out of it. (No, I don't know what that means, PETA can stop calling.) Really, rent-it, iTunes it, whatever. Try the pilot at least, if you haven't already seen it. I really don't know why I stopped watching this show.

So I don't feel astounding today, so with a bit of sleep deprivation and no tea to boost me, I started Cataclysm with it minimized, but selected. It took me a second to work out that the creepy breathing I was hearing was not, in fact, a murderist behind me with an unnecessarily large knife, but Deathwing. Go-go morning stupidity.

So I have this sort of ugly feeling my PC might be giving up the ghost soon. With everything save the RAM and GPU being seven years old (!) I'm honestly surprised I haven't heard this noise sooner. I started my PC and one of the fans inside went WHHHHHHHHHHRCLICKLCLACKCLICKCLACKWHRPWHRPWHRPWHRP and has continued to do so. I'm going to pick up some air and give it a good cleaning, but I'm not entirely sure that'll be enough this time. The fact that the PSU has lasted seven years is a freaking testament to Gateway (or whoever built the thing) but it may just be time. In even less happy, even more money out-of-pocket news, my car is dead. Flat-out dead. It was a very nice Silver Sprint that despite not being a thousand years old (myself, that is) I quite enjoyed driving. The front axle, drive-shaft, transmission and both the front tires went at once yesterday, whilst driving, so that was fun but somehow I managed not to be decapitated. That said, lots and lots and lots of money that, while I should pay, because of where I got the car from, I'm not going to. I have a perfectly serviceable 1998 Mustang that makes me look like a prick (even without the popped collars) but it'll do for now. On a slightly happier, less out-of-pocket news, I have a new kitten. It is absolutely adorable, and loves chewing on my face whilst I sleep.

Desert Bus. Worst game ever made. They play it for a long time, depending on how much money they get for Childs Play. (Five minutes of the game cam will make you lose all hope.) But! As of this moment (1:49AM MST [GMT -7]) the people not driving the bus, are playing Tomb of Horrors. The D&D infamous module, yes. If you don't get to watch it now, I imagine the uStream functions will save the video. It's about six and a half hours into the charity. Desert Bus For Hope Driver Cam There's a fellow behind the chair using this puppet to talk. His voice is absolutely amazing for it. Edit: 55 minutes for a TPK in Tomb of Horrors. Not bad, DM.

So I assume she survives, sells the rights to the book and gets breast implants? This looks like it could be quite interesting/good/not-shit, but I'm still going to be cautiously optimistic.

To be honest, I'm actually going to agree with you. Physically, for the most part, they're on par. I had a discussion with a friend when the casting was first announced about the "genius of casting Peter Dinklage" and that sort of thing. So there's an excellent chance you're on the money, Krom, but I'll have to watch the thing first.

Was it? Oh dear. I apologize. Not sure how I missed that. Side-bar: Korax. . .ever play Neverwinter Nights online?

Bravo! Well said chap! Encore, encore! (What the fucking fuck? It's like someone's powering a spam bot with Shakespear.)
-
Really? You're not happy with the casting? I love almost all of it.

That means this month, unless they're going to be dicks about the definition of "season". I am thrilled to the bone.

So I am approximately 1,000 years late to the party. (I once torrented FC2, but enjoyed it so much that I felt bad and uninstalled it after about 2 hours.) So, just a few things from my first genuine three hours with the game; - Experienced my first dawn, whilst trying to get onto the train car with the diamond box in Petroshoe, or whatever. Stunningly beautiful, from the sounds, to the slow lifting of the haze and fog. That said, I spent about 20 minutes for one diamond. I was not amused. - This little number, which I'm quite proud of. The circuitous route which arms dealer mission targets takes lead to me getting there just in time to restock my crossbow and molotov ammo and sacrifice my jeep and the car at the depot for a roadblock. Set the surrounding area on fire, chucked at grenade at the windscreen of the first escort and put a crossbow bolt into the windscreen of the arms truck. Delicious carnage. - Fuck jeep patrols. Just fuck them. They've cost me more Jeep Wranglers than anything so far. - My general solution to problems is to set everything on fire. Is this wrong?

I sat there for 5 minutes trying to stare hard enough at his shoulders so they'd burst into flame. Maybe that?

D-d-d-double post! I'd be surprised if at least some of you haven't seen this yet. 0D2o8F2MOuI

Thousand Needles and Stonetalon are my favorite zones in the game now. For cool mechanics and a cool story respectively. In fact, once the old world is "the place to be" I'll probably have my hearth set to The Speedbarge, because really, the perma-buffs you get for KNeedles are amazing.
