I agree with you. I'm reminded of the problems that Jezebel had a month ago. They were getting flooded with rape gifs because people were abusing their burner account system they had in place to protect the anonymity of sources. This eventually resulted in a change to their comment system (actually a reversion to a previous system I think). I can't imagine the terrifying mess that would have resulted if those kinds of comments had been allowed to continue. A website that ignores those problems in the name of "uncensored speech" is just trying to avoid any kind of responsibility or accountability.

David Lynch's Josh Brolin's Campo Santo's Fire Watch With Me: A Motion Picture Event

Elephants? Mountains? Is Campo Santo actually making Far Cry 4? Sweet, new page. -
That's basically how I see it too. It's the mentality that "I win because logic is on my side" when a close examination shows that no, its not. I personally dislike even stating the formal names for fallacies because I never bothered to learn what they're actually called. I will accept reasonable arguments that use logic but saying "You are guilty of fallacy X" as your entire response is neither instructive nor constructive. Then again there is always a danger when asking certain people to explain themselves.

I enjoyed the response to his repeated attempts to try and invoke logical fallacies. One of the most infuriating parts of this whole thing to me (besides, you know, all of it) is the constant attempts by people to make their claims seem more legitimate by trying to invoke some kind of fallacy. I have nothing but respect for actual logic, but simply stating "strawman" is not an argument.

I like the Zelda side quests that aren't just collectathons. I hate any sort of side content that is simply get a million of a thing. The gold skultulla quest is the only one I never bothered finishing in OoT. At least getting the heart pieces usually involves some puzzles and there's not that many of them in a given Zelda game anyway. Regarding the dungeons, I don't really remember the ones in TP that much but SS had some good ones. It also has my favorite boss

Congrats Twig. Fuck Twig. I also once signed a lease for an apartment I hadn't yet seen in person. Turned out ok but I only lived there for a year.

I use electric shavers and I love them. I'm on my third one now and I've never had a problem with any of them. The first I gave to my father because he wanted one and liked the one I was using at the time. The second one I broke while moving. The third I've been using for a few years now with no trouble. Cleaning it is easy, I just open up the head, dump out anything in it, then rinse it off with water and let it dry. I only have to charge it every few weeks and I have yet to replace the blades despite having a spare set because I just haven't felt the need to. I mostly like how quick and easy it is. I need zero preparation and it only takes a few minutes to do, including clean up. I should mention that I don't have very much facial hair and only shave about once a week.

The Business Side of Video (Space) Games EXCLUSIVELY ON IDLE THUMBS
SecretAsianMan replied to Henroid's topic in Video Gaming
I don't remember where I saw it but there have been reports that even if Microsoft did get it, they wouldn't be cancelling other versions of the game. But I think it's still mostly speculation at this point. -
Even though I started this topic, I'm unfortunately probably not going to play it because it's not my kind of game. Still, I'm glad that it got funded and is coming out. I think it's a really interesting and great way to share a personal story about depression. I met Matt Gilenbach once at PAX when he was showing off Retro/Grade. He seemed very genuinely into making games and I could tell it mattered a lot to him, but even at that time you could see the pressure of doing so was weighing pretty heavily on him. I felt terrible when things went so bad. I hope this game gets some notice so that something good can come out of his experience.

I am still disappointed that it's ello.co and not ello.cool Also I guess this is me

I think I saw that conversation (the dude was a "judge" or something right?) and it was complete nonsense. If I remember correctly, he was the one who preemptively played the "you're a racist" card based on a comment from Twig that had absolutely nothing to do with race at all. I don't blame you for stopping. At a certain point, trying to argue logic with insane people is in itself insane.

The Business Side of Video (Space) Games EXCLUSIVELY ON IDLE THUMBS
SecretAsianMan replied to Henroid's topic in Video Gaming
According to this Bloomberg article, Notch himself actually initiated the talks with Microsoft to buy Minecraft. Don't know how accurate that is but it's interesting if true. -
30 years ago this day, this humble Earth was graced by the birth of our Lord Chris Remo (so sayth Wikipedia). And the peasants rejoiced. Happy Birthday Chris!

I have a Nexus 4, which is made by LG. It's in the line of Google's flagship Android phones (the newest one being the Nexus 5). I occasionally (as in maybe once every few months) have unusual behavior that is 99% of the time solved by restarting the phone. It should be noted that I also rooted it for a year or so and still mess with a lot of settings so it's entirely possible I'm introducing instability into the system myself. In general I'd say that it's not totally bulletproof but still pretty solid.

If it's a reply to the previous post, then it's harder to follow on a new page if the post wasn't quoted.

I sort of figured the same thing, but then I started wondering if a chair would be enough. From the very few times I've seen the inside of a women's restroom, it usually has a couch rather that a chair. Maybe so they can lay down if necessary? I'm trying not to make any assumptions but it's hard not to speculate. Trash cans make total sense though.
-
Why do women's restrooms have couches in them? I am assuming this is a common occurrence having not seen it with my own eyes except for the occasional glimpse when someone goes through the door.
