I know it's been discussed on the cast before and I've played it for a couple of hours at PAX Prme 2011 and 2012. It is a lot of fun and I'd get it if I had a PS3 guitar. I know you can play it with a controller, but really what's the point.

I once took a tour of the Valve offices in Seattle and I'm amazed they get any work done at all. They have toys and props all over the place, giant desks on wheels with 5 monitors, arcade machines, and I saw 2 rooms with massage tables in them and a massuse reading a magazine (it was the weekend so basically no one was there). I'm sitting in a dungy cubicle at work right now without those distractions and I'm posting on this forum instead of working (don't tell my boss). In all seriousness, I'd love to see a Valve version of the Double Fine Amnesia Fortnight.

I always understood what I needed to do in the Time Traveler's level, but in one specific puzzle I had trouble getting the game to do what I wanted. Namely, I eventually got it but it was very frustrating.

After some guessing (and no cheating), number 2 is I think the reason I had a hard time was that I never actually played the game, but heard the music in the arcade when I was younger. I have no idea what the others are.

I was about to post with the same problem when I saw this. At first I thought it was the shitty version of IE 7 I'm forced to use at the office, but it worked for me too.

Interesting. I guess they are required to make a bunch of Destiny games, but it still doesn't mean they can't do other things. They just have to give Activision the first chance at a new deal. And it also seems like Bungie has enough control to do interesting things with the property in the next few games if they want. Perhaps they could try a different genre with each game (kind of like Halo Wars even though Bungie didn't make that). But I do share your concerns that it could turn out terrible too.

Let's assume at some point I will actually want to finish this game. Which character's section/ending would you say was the most worth playing/seeing? I've only done one playthough (and didn't even finish it) with the Knight, Twins, and Time Traveler. I really liked the Twins' level, hated the Time Traveler's, and was meh on the Knight, mostly because I had it spoiled in a preview of the game so I knew what was going to happen.

I may be wrong about this, but I think the deal with Activision is just for this one franchise and Bungie still owns the IP. Activision has the exclusive rights to publish Destiny and any related games for 10 years, but I don't think that means Bungie can't do other things as well. Plus I don't think Activision can force them to churn out a new one every year, nor can they outsource it to another company since Bungie owns the IP.
