  1. Cookie Clicker

If you check under the update tab, one of the things listed as coming next is dungeons, so maybe it will become like a Candy Box-like.
  2. Rogue Legacy

I normally dislike grinding when a game forces you to do it because of a difficulty ramp or when the design makes grinding the path of least resistance. However, in the case of Rogue Legacy, I actually enjoyed it because of how it's integrated into the game. I never felt like I was grinding in the same sense as other games. Normally when I think of grinding, I think of repetitive actions to raise stats to get stronger, unlock new abilities, or upgrade gear. While those things are true in Rogue Legacy, I also felt like I was gaining proficiency in the gameplay as well, which is usually not the feeling I have while grinding. I suppose if you don't really like the gameplay or can't seem to get better at it the game wouldn't be as fun, but I had a great time. And Tanukitsune, to your question about maxing the stats and how easy it would make the game, the answer is yes up to a point. When you max your stats, you can become a sword swinging magic slinging whirlwind of death that can easily clear out the map. But once you start getting into the NG+++ range, that stops being true because you hit a stat plateau while the enemies continue to get stronger. Grace runes will help for a while, but eventually every room becomes death.

Chronicles is a really dumb, really weird movie and from the sound of Riddick, I wish they had continued that story instead of making Pitch Black 2.
  4. Cookie Clicker

I've hit a new low. I made a macro to click the cookie for me. My normal cps is 60M, but with the macro I'm getting around 250M. I am the worst.
  5. anime

Yeah, it's a CG movie. So the fast action stuff looks fine but slow deliberate movements are super weird.
  6. Project Godus: Don't believe his lies

He seemed pretty enthusiastic about the multiplayer. He made a big deal of how large the world was (the size of Jupiter) because he said the game would require all the space, meaning he expects everyone to fill it up. Then again, that might just be another of Molyneux's grand promises.

Does Riddick follow up the actual story of Chronicles, or do they simply abandon it within the first 10 minutes? The trailers make the movie seem more like Pitch Black than Chronicles even though Chronicles was trying to set up some kind of epic story.
  8. anime

You could be right about that. I definitely wasn't watching it as a "fan" of anime. Not that I dislike anime, I just don't watch enough to really have an opinion formed. I was watching it more in the context of any other movie I would on Netflix or what have you. I'd be curious to know what those people whose opinions you trust liked about 009. Besides the stuff I listed above, I was also extremely distracted by the awkard character animations.

On a similar note, another thing I've always wanted to do is buy up a furniture store and play paintball. You could dive onto couches and beds, flip over tables for cover, open cabinets and closet doors to use as shields, etc. It could make for some pretty great capture the flag.
  10. anime

I don't watch a whole lot of anime, so my opinion of what's good and what's not isn't worth very much. If you trust their opinion, then maybe you should watch it. Those things I listed are most definitely in the movie, but none of them play a big part. Personally, I found a lot of it to be silly but perhaps I just wasn't paying enough attention.
  11. I Had A Random Thought...

I've always wanted to get a bunch of people together, go into a restaurant, and say "We'll take one of everything."
  12. anime

For reasons unknown to me, I just watched 009 RE: CYBORG, a 2012 movie based on Cyborg 009. Pretty dumb overall, but there are a few things worth noting: The NSA has the ability to create zombie cyborgs (they're basically just reanimated bodies and don't look anything like "zombies" but that's what they call them) At one point America is referred to as being part of an Axis of Evil The actual villain of the movie is Anime Obama
  13. The Big LucasArts Playthrough

The Hoagie parts are probably my favorite as well. The past sections are so much more interesting and amusing. The future is very restrictive even after you're able to walk around freely and the present just isn't as interesting. And of course being in the past, Hoagie has the most potential to impact the other eras, so it's just a lot more fun.
  14. The Big LucasArts Playthrough

I started Day of the Tentacle as well. Then I finished it a few hours later. Still really good. DotT was one of the few games I played without voices, so I kept it off this time as well since the voices are still weird to me. And man, I really love the music in the past.
  15. Project Godus: Don't believe his lies

That would be ironic. I was also at his PAX keynote and he had a slide about how he hated that things like Farmville were being called God Games. But if Godus ends up being the same thing without the F2P, would it be any better?

  18. Dreams!

Meanwhile, an extremely religious man wakes up in a cold sweat because in his dream, the man he kidnapped to convert ended up corrupting his family with his secular ways.
  19. I love that part. The song that plays during that sequence (Play with Me by Extreme) became my favorite song for a while. I was so stupidly happy when it appeared in Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s

I just realized that today is Friday the 13th.
  21. Animal Crossing: New Leaf

I figured the sneaking thing out almost right away, so I usually don't have too much of a problem with that, except when I run up to a tree from behind and can't see the bug on it until after it flies away. I usually try to use the sound of the lure when catching fish, but a lot of the time when I play Animal Crossing I'm watching/listening to something else so I have the sound turned off and have to rely on the visual cue. This is probably the root of my problem.
  22. Animal Crossing: New Leaf

I'm apparently terrible at fishing. The last few times I've been to the island, I haven't caught a single shark or shark-like thing. I caught like 50 sea bass though. I think I prefer the bug catching because most of the time I can see it's a new one before I attempt it.

I love Clue. I wish I could have seen it in the theatre when it was new and then try to discuss it with other people who saw a different ending than I did. I always loved that idea, but I don't think you could pull it off today because things like Twitter exist. And Tim Curry is fantastic. I love his reaction when he looks at Mr. Green's file when he preemptively reveals his secret.
