The wandering missions you get regardless. Also that rescue mission. You just unlock some early boosts, i.e. A-rank soldiers. And the sneaking suit available sooner, like you mentioned.

one punch maaaaaaaaaaan

Well. GZ only really sets up the story. I played it before TPP and I did everything because I was enjoying it so much. I'm a crazy person, though. As far as unlocks go, it's not at all necessary. So don't worry about that.

It's hard for me to know if the sleaze has gone up, or we're just exposed to more of it. Certainly if I compare the worst of the Old Days and the worst of Today, they're fairly similar, except the quality (ymmv) of sleaze has gone up today, because the quality (ymmv) of everything has gone up these days. There's a whole hell of a lot more fidelity to the animation in today's stuff that just wasn't present in old stuff. Speaking of sleaze. I watched more Food Wars. It got temporarily better with naked dude, but then got way worse again with JIGGLING TITS OH LOOK AT THAT NICE DETAILED JIGGLE of meat girl, who has an entire scene dedicated to what kind of bikini top she's going to wear. I don't think I will ever be able to believe people again when they tell me it's "equal opportunity fanservice". I like lookin' at sexy dudes just as much as I like lookin' at sexy ladies, and let me tell you, there is not as much sexy dude action as there is sexy lady action. This shit is egregious.

I... Definitely feel that way, too. It's weird.

I agree with everything you said. It's really super disappointing to me that there's so little cutscene action in this game. Guess they had to spend all that budget on making sure Quiet's boobs were jiggling in just the wrong way. I re-did the fight-Quiet mission (for extreme difficulty, hooboy, it wasn't hard, but it was kinda tedious, felt like sometimes my bullets just wouldn't hit her, really annoying). God the amount of jiggle in the helicopter scene alone is probably what forced Konami to exit game development. So much jiggle it broke the bank.

Hah, well, we all enjoy things in our own way.

Hah that's a habit I picked up very recently. Probably from gaf, since I started participating in their anime thread recently. Also, to expand on a previous thought I think I failed to properly communicate: in my opinion, no matter who the seventh was, you could've made the argument that they all had cliche reasons for being the seventh. And that was part of the fun for me, trying to decide which cliche was the one they were going to go with. Yeah bunny ears was cliche peace whatever, but everyone else had their own thing. Hell, so did MC, what with his world's strongest routine.

You lied, the opening mission is not unranked. Fortunately I already got the S-rank. But it has two mission tasks. So I still have to do it. Probably multiple times, 'cause they don't look braindead easy, especially the second one.

I definitely have, before, but maybe they were wrong.

Guess we're just spoiling it away, so whatever! I completely disagree with the idea that there were only three "main characters" in Rokka. The only one who was undeveloped was Goldov. He would've been a cheap reveal, because his entire character was "I LUB PRINCESS DUURRRRR", and I would've been super disappointed, but literally anyone else was open game (except MC, for reasons you stated). The show throws so many red herrings at you that it's not necessarily out of the question for even Angry Lady to end up being the seventh, although I agree that people holding on to her were out of their mind, because it would've been too obvious. Definitely could've easily been Hans, though. Glad it wasn't, 'cause he's rad. I sort of agree that the ending was bunk, but also, it made me laugh. Like I legitimately laughed out loud when another seventh rolled on up. So, ya got me, Rokka! But even if it didn't, like I said before, the ending literally had no impact on my enjoyment of the show. It was everything between the beginning and the ending that made it great. You could safely ignore who the seventh actually was, and it'd still be a super strong show. Also, yes, the show made it pretty clear very early on that we, as viewers, were not going to be able to solve the mystery. I dunno, I made peace with that with the first episode after shit went down. Codi: the MC's name is Adlet. Rokka no Yuusha is the name of the show. Ya goof. Also there's never going to be a second season. Also barring stupid bunny ears princess and love-sick baby warrior, I actually thought all the costumes were good, ranging from nice to cool. Even Flamie's!

I'm probably using it wrong. I always thought it meant both, like "bullshit", hah.
-
No I mean it's bullshit that they do. I'm well aware of how it works.
-
is it? GOOD but i still have to do mission tasks or whatever right
-
Also, in the end, capitalism blows, burn it all to the ground.

Yes, I was going to bring that junk up, but opted not to. The, uh, "up to 93%" stuff on TF2 items is bunk, though. Major bunk. ...Though I've seen some screencapped conversations that seem to suggest that's the fault of the butt-faced people who organized that community update, and less so the fault of Valve themselves. It's all hearsay to me, though, so I don't really want to take sides. Regardless, I still think Valve takes maybe too much money on that stuff. But then they did MAKE THE GAME, so I don't knooooow. They for sure take way too much money off Compendium sales for The International...

In my experience, the people who hate Valve/Steam today are MOSTLY the same people who hated Valve/Steam five years ago. I'm pretty much with you. They are cool, and they do cool things, and I have some problems with the cuts they take, but they also don't just sit on their asses all day, but also they don't necessarily do as much as I wish they'd do. They aren't perfect, but they're still on the whole good, and DEFINITELY better than the rest. Maybe one day GOG will give 'em a run for their money. GOG is for sure profitable, obviously, but they're always lagging behind. On everything except DRM-free, anyway. But that's unfortunately why most (big) games won't ever go there right away. ):

Dunno if anyone pointed it out, but I'm amused by the World of Tanks/Etc. talk if only because I remember when there was a World of Tanks ad-read, and nobody had played it, and there was a bunch of hullabaloo about advertising a thing no one had played, and there never was an ad for it again on the 'cast. -
That Happening Bunker is gold.

I have the XL. I wouldn't carry it around with me or anything, but at least it enables the playability of this video game.
-
I... have no idea why anyone would think that after listening to that episode. Legit, that makes no sense to me.
-
Not having watched the video in question, I was pretty stoked for this, and then listening to the latest 'cast episode, I was "surprised" to hear about the masked-person and now I'm pretty much bleh. Maybe it'll still be fun, but I was hoping for a Far Cry game without any guns or explosives, personally, and that sort of implies to me that eventually that stuff will be unlocked? Maybe I'm weird for not wanting those things.
