  1. Xbox 360 Exclusives? (!)

Unless you buy a Wii BABINGBONGskidooo. (Only console I own (provided handhelds don't count) is a Wii and I like it.)
  2. Xbox 360 Exclusives? (!)

Fable was released on the original Xbox, and then much later on PC, as The Lost Chapters. Fable II was/is exclusive to the Xbox 360. Fable III is currently exclusive to the Xbox 360, but is supposedly coming to PC at a later date. So, it might as well be Xbox-exclusive, since most people probably aren't willing to wait for the PC releases, but technically it is only... partially exclusive. I'm sure it all makes perfect sense in someone's head at Microsoft. Yes. Also, FWIW: I had a 360, and got fed up with the pay-to-play-online shit, as well as most of the games I wanted that were "exclusive" to 360 eventually coming to PC. Exceptions: Banjo-Kazooie, the aforementioned Fable II, Alan Wake, and others... but I can live without that small group of games, so oh well. I would love a PS3, though. Its exclusives are so much more enticing and exciting and etc. I bought and loved every (except the last) Ratchet & Clank game on PS2. I miss having those games. ):
  3. Minecraft

Update is up. I found a desert. It was small. ):
  4. Minecraft

I think he said on his twitter that health and such still won't work in SMP, though. ):
  5. Cataclysm

"Are you into furries?" Just goes to show the worgen were made specifically for furries.
  6. Cataclysm

If it was just names, I would find it easy, too.
  7. Cataclysm

You are a silly person, Forbin, and I find it difficult to have a reasonable conversation with you! Suffice it to say, I find it much more invasive than simple "flavor text" might be, because it is constantly jumping out in my face as I play the game. I'm not talking about Little Miss Pilton, and, no, I can't think of any specific examples because it has been way too long since I actually played the game, but it happened to me as I played the game normally.
  8. Minecraft

    Well, what.
  9. Minecraft

Yes, but I mean the past few days. Or, probably more accurately, since the latest update. (I only recently started playing again the past few days.) Sometimes I'll get five crashes in a row before I even manage to join a server.
  10. Minecraft

Is anyone else experiencing a metric buttload of crashes?
  11. Super Meat Boy! Boy is it hard!

I am glad that Super Meat Boy looks fun and is reportedly fun, because I found Gish to be a terribly frustrating and unfun game in many ways, contrary to what I recall was the popular belief at the time [among indie developers/gamers]. I will buy it on Steam, absolutely! EDIT: If you're interested, the latest IndieGames.com podcast features the duo behind Super Meat Boy, and is pretty interesting, I think.
  12. Cataclysm

Well, two things. 1) It's much more invasive than just simple flavor text. I don't know why you keep acting like it's something that can be easily ignored, when that is not the case. 2) Pretty sure no one's doing that. I still play WoW (and have Cataclysm preordered). Although technically I'm on a break right now, so I don't play WoW. And then there's Chris, who said in his post that the pop culture chicanery is the straw that breaks his camel, or something to that effect. It is not the ONLY thing he dislikes about WoW. It is just ONE thing he dislikes about WoW.
  13. http://www.kongregate.com/games/Hideous/chase-goose-2 It is like Canabalt, only the complete opposite. "¿Primera letra del alfabeto?" It's edutainment. I'm learning Spanish.
  14. I have a friend who was actually doing that. Only he did it for the words that work, like "Why?"
  15. Cataclysm

Yes, but you had to go out of your way for many of those. I can't speak for the rest, but all I've been saying is that it's gotten worse over time.
  16. Cataclysm

    I can't lie, I like drunk dwarves. O: It's a stereotype and a cliché, but it's one that I happen to love.
  17. Cataclysm

I don't remember anything in vanilla WoW being as in-your-face as some of the crap I see now in WotLK. It's always been present, it just hasn't been prominent.
  18. Cataclysm

But that major shit is literally (figuratively) drowning in stupid shit. It is literally (literally) impossible for me to ignore the stupid shit when it can be found around every single corner. The game didn't USED to be like that. I used to have to go out of my way to find the stupid shit, and because of that, it wasn't so stupid. It was just a nice little nod to some dude somewhere. But ever since TBC, it is continuously getting worse. I expect that trend to continue in Cataclysm. Fortunately, the game is also getting less boring, in terms of gameplay. EDIT: Just to clarify, though, I am not averse to goofiness in and of itself, but when Blizzard tries to convince me that there is some huge, epic story happening and I AM A PART OF IT WATCH ME SAVE THE UNIVERSE but then [a hypothetical] Jichael Mackson moonwalks all over my face during some raid, it is straight up annoying.
  19. Minecraft

O:! P.S. My Minecraft handle is Twig. I'm not sure if I'll have the time (I haven't for the past month or so), but I'd like to ONE DAY play on the Idle Thumbs server. D:
  20. Minecraft

I am pretty sure he was talking about how it looks, not how it's made. And he's right. U: But, like I said, if people like it, more power to them! God knows I've fought some uphill battles in the world of opinions before.
  21. Cataclysm

Man, I feel you. I was okay with one or two to start with, but it just keeps getting worse and worse. It really kills the world for me, and the world is the most important part of any Blizzard game! The stories tend to be boring and cliché, but the worlds are fantastic. Or... they were. (No doubt nostalgia clouds my mind here - I have yet to play SC2, because I am a dirty sinner boy.) (This conversation feels extremely familiar.) But I just have so much fun with my friends, and it's the only MMO that all of them will play. A few will occasionally try This or That, but never all of them. Warhammer, everyone got bored with the repetitive boring PVP. Age of Conan, everyone got tired of the bugs and lack of content past level 45 or 50 or whatever it was. EVE, everyone quit because it just takes too much TIME. ...I personally would love to go back to AoC, though. Despite its flaws, I had a lot of fun with it. ):
  22. Minecraft

It's kind of boring. But some people like it, so whatever. U:
  23. Cataclysm

I was actually really... disappointed with the cinematic. I thought it was boring. I've loved every single Blizzard cinematic I've ever seen, but this one was just... some big huge dragon (yes, I'm well aware how important he is to the lore, trust me) flying around destroying things. Although, in retrospect, WotLK trailer wasn't much to speak of, either, but I guess the Big Bad was also much more recognizable on a personal level. I only know Deathwing from the books I read (don't laugh ;_. I also know that while the trailer is all grimdark, once I get into the world it will be JOKES JOKES JOKES once again. Of course, I've already preordered Cataclysm because I am weak and, what the hell, I love playing the game with my buddies.
  24. Both the Japanese lucky number and the number of udders on a cow surprised me, but the one that REALLY got me was: "540 x 0". So simple, but the 540 was like a firetruck crashing into my head. ): That's terrible! You're really missing out!
