  1. Random Ramblings

I feel like the best potential game story would come from someone who knows game design writing the basic plot (which may or may not be awful, but would at least fit the design of the game) and then someone who actually writes for a living filling in the details, but that would probably be pretty disastrous, too, now that I type it out. U:
  2. Fuck Steve, grats Steve 3.

I've only seen the one, so far.
  3. Fuck Steve, grats Steve 3.

If you squint between the letters, you can see that Jake just confirmed a new episode is coming TOMORROW.
  4. Goty.cx 2011

I just wanted to say that I liked this. And also that Bastion is probably my goty, as well, for pretty much the exact same reasons. Oh, and I'll add that you can roll in Bastion. This, naturally, boosts any game from trash to gold, and with the icing on the cake that is the graphics/music/story/narrator, Bastion instantly shoots above and beyond every game for the past thirty-two years. Approximately.
  5. The Last of Us

That's the vibe I got from the trailer so I'm glad they're sort of confirming it.
  6. The Last of Us

Vampires are, sometimes. Other times, they're horror. Depends on the book, I guess. Although Twilight has its own Teen Paranormal Romance section in some bookstores now.
  7. The Last of Us

That expression is correct. Werewolves are way more awesome and badass than vampires. Has there ever been a good game about werewolves? Or just any game? Games with werewolves in them, sure, but one with werewolves as the main theme of the game?
  8. The Last of Us

    That is one gross 'stache.
  9. The Last of Us

Well, I certainly can't disagree, if it's all legit!
  10. The Last of Us

How you gonna pick up an enemy gun when the enemies are zombies! Unless... the zombies have guns?! whatatwist
  11. The Last of Us

If only, indeed. Playing on easy wouldn't help me. I also hate shooties on consoles. I can't stand them. No, I don't care if this one is actually really good. I can't stand them! The day I stopped playing shooty console games is the day I stopped hating console games.
  12. The Last of Us

For the longest time, I really wanted to play Uncharted. I watched my friend play Uncharted 2 and was immediately turned off by the unending shootfest. That's not what I thought the game was. I excepted... well... Indiana Jones, the video game. I like that this trailer implies not only human vs. zombie but also human vs. human conflict. It makes little sense to me that they would stay in the middle of a big city after a zombie apocalypse, but what're you gonna do. I also don't really understand the "zombies are overdone" mentality. EVERYTHING is overdone.
  13. Movie/TV recommendations

Psych is one of the cleverest and funniest television shows I have ever seen. I love it. It's by far currently the show I look forward to most when it's airing.
  14. Movie/TV recommendations

I haven't seen How I Met Your Mother, but my roommate has gone through four seasons in less than a week, after discovering it's on Netflix streaming. The show is not really something in which I have any interest. Having not seen it, I can't compare it to Big Bang Theory, which I have seen. BIG BANG THEORY IS AWFUL. I hate laugh tracks. Hate them. They force me to laugh at things I would otherwise find not funny. Sometimes I, too, worry I am becoming cynical. But I'm okay with it, if it means I don't have to deal with laugh tracks.
  15. Breaking Bad

Yeah, I really feel bad for Jesse. I'm similarly waiting for season four. I've heard five is gonna be the last, because that's where the creator wants to end it. That's good. I like it when a show ends because it's going to end, not because of ratings falling off because it was stretched far beyond where it should have been. Oh, and I feel worse for Walt, Jr. Poor guy.
  16. Breaking Bad

If I was at gunpoint, I'd probably say that TV shows can pull it off because they have a lot longer to set the characters up as decent-but-flawed before sending them spiraling into a pit of evil. Movies have, at most, two and a half hours total.
  17. Breaking Bad

I think the best thing I can say about Breaking Bad is that, despite all the crazy shit, and the fact that it's a show with drug dealers 'n' shit, one of the absolute tensest moments so far for me was when the two main characters were having a simple conversation. It was near the end of season three: Even accounting for the third season finale, that is THE episode that stands above the rest. All he was doing was just talking, and I was in my head like "oh man oh man oh man" 'cause I thought he might say Some Shit. OH MAN
  18. Life

I see the £. X: I wasn't aware it was even an issue. TYPING it is an issue. I copypasted. Obviously, as an American, I don't have a key for that character.
  19. Breaking Bad

I recently watched the first three seasons of Breaking Bad on Netflix. The forth season is not yet available. That show. So good.
  20. I'm-a get it, yep yep. Assuming I get a job! Comes out right around the time I graduate. And, probably more conveniently, right around the time of my birthday. I haven't played a good JRPG in forever, and I'm not sure the ones I used to think of as good are actually good, soooo this will be interesting!
  21. Super Mario 3D Land

I dunnoooo I just sat down and marathoned through the next three worlds. Only the castle left in SW5. There are a few outliers that were more difficult than the usual fare (mostly the ones with moving platforms!), but for the most part, still pretty easy. I've managed to bank another 15 lives. I mean it's still a fun game. I don't really mind easy games. Also, I think the only reason it's "easy" is because the levels are so short? Like, if they were longer, there'd be more room for mistakes? My friend likes to tell me I'm good at video games, even though I think I'm only mediocre, but I guess it's possible he's right. X: This is the first Mario game where I really felt that the game would have been worse with a player-controlled camera. The tricks they pull with it have convinced me that they know what they're doing. It works really well.
  22. Super Mario 3D Land

I'm up through special world 2. Just finished it. Gotten every star coin so far. This game is really easy. X: I have like 180 lives or so, and I'd say I've died about... I dunno 40 or so times, if I'm generous? I think? Hard to keep track. A lot of my deaths are just because I'm like "oops I missed a star coin" so I go back to the checkpoint.
