  1. Zorro Joins Double Fine

I'm jealous 'cause I applied there only a month ago and got no response (albeit, as a programmer). Double Fine is one of the top companies I'd like to work for. So grats Chris!
  2. The Walking Dead

I haven't yet played it, as a) I also ordered from Telltale's website (as I always do), and I'm busy with end-of-school projects, but... How are the facial animations? This is one area of tech in which I desperately want Telltale to improve, as I feel it's probably more important in this genre than in any other. Watching the heavy go from Valve's excellent-for-a-multiplayer-FPS (and indeed, excellent compared to most games) facial animations to Telltale's engine for Poker Night was kind of sad. Especially because the dialogue was so well written. ): EDIT: Wait, they sent out Steam keys? I only just ordered now (after discovering I didn't preorder it, despite being 100% certain I did), so I guess I might be too late. D:
  3. Movie/TV recommendations

I guess it shows how little I actually care that I don't remember at all what happened at the end of season three, despite having watched it. Warehouse 13 is just stupid fun for me and nothing more, apparently! U:
  4. Movie/TV recommendations

Haha. I accept these kinds of things as a natural piece of the cheesy sci-fi television show repertoire.
  5. The Witcher 2

That's a fair complaint in a game where you create your character from scratch and you control every facet of that character's personality. But The Witcher 2 isn't that kind of game. You play Geralt, a dude what loves women. A lot. I mean, I guess you could counter-argue on the angle that he's suffering from amnesia in the beginning of the first game and still doesn't really know who he is by the end of the first game, but... I don't know how much weight such an argument would hold. He's still Geralt. In the book I read, he's even kind of a womanizer. Not in that he thinks less of women, though. He just likes sex with ladies.
  6. Movie/TV recommendations

I like it less but I don't dislike it. It's not really that good, but I like it anyway. It starts out really awful and gets better. Yep.
  7. Plug your shit

http://www.monopodcast.com/ I do a cruddy pordcash with a few online buddies. One of them (n0b) also posts here. We kind of suck at being consistent at releasing episodes. It's just your basic "we talk about things that tickle our fancy" setup, and it largely entails video game discussion, so basically it's not anything special. Also we do it over Mumble, and all of our mics are awful, so the sound quality sucks. Now that I've crushed all hopes of it being good... We enjoy doing it, which is really the only reason we do it. We're up to nine episodes (ish). Maybe if you'd like you could sort of kind of maybe give it a listen and give me feedback. We'd definitely like to improve. U:
  8. Movie/TV recommendations

I was unaware of this show's existence. I went to the official website and said "eeugh" and closed it. At least there's one more season of Eureka. ): And I guess Warehouse 13 is entertaining enough, even if it's nothing special. U: Man, I remember when I read about the upcoming Syfywhatever shows a couple years ago, and some of it sounded kind of amazing. Especially the one where Kevin Sorbo played himself with superpowers. None of it ever happened as far as I know. EDIT: Found it! http://popwatch.ew.com/2010/07/30/kevin-sorbo-lee-majors-syfy-series/ Yeah I think none of those exist? Sad. I guess most of them would have probably been duds anyway. BUT MAN, that Kevin Sorbo thing could've been great.
  9. I jump around all the time, but I do keep going back to Jolicraft. It's quite whimsical, and a bit cleaner than vanilla. I'm not a fan of how dirty the vanilla texture pack looks.
  10. Movie/TV recommendations

I saw The Hunger Games last night finally (I am behind the times!) and it was pretty all right. A fun movie, which is what I expected. I liked everything about it except the Also there was a trailer for the new Twilight movie, and the vampire guy said to the newly-vampire chick: "We're the same temperature now" in the most ridiculously flirtatious manner and I lose it for a full minute. Oh my god is that really how the dialogue sounds. I almost want to see it just because of that line. (Kind of like how I enjoy watching MST3k.)
  11. Diablo III

Fair enough. I haven't played it, so I can't really comment. I liked the ones in Torchlight well enough.
  12. Diablo III

Hey yeah well you know it makes the game better overall guys so stop complaining, right.
  13. Diablo III

In my humble opinion, this genre is better suited to cheesemints than most. O: Mostly in the form of challenges, like "reach max level with X class in hardcore mode", etc. I dunno!
  14. DOTA 2

Yeah, but unlike Ursa, DP is still somewhat strong against experienced players when played right, and etc. I think.
  15. anime

I just meant in the context of my statement (which is what I assumed you were responding to), Cagliostro Lupin, even though he wears a green jacket, is not what I'm referring to when I say Green Jacket. Cagliostro Lupin is a lot more... concerned about this girl than Lupin would normally be. Sure, he might save the girl, but not in the same way? He cares too much, I guess? I dunno. To clarify: I'm referring to the three different Lupin series (before this new one started), which consisted of Green, Red, and Pink Jackets in that order. The Red series is just a bit too goofy for my preference. But it's still good enough, so hey. (It's also over 150 episodes or something like that?)
  16. anime

Cagliostro Lupin, while good, isn't really very Lupin.
  17. anime

I agree, although I tend to enjoy the suave, capable Lupin with the Green Jacket to the slightly more comical, bumbling Lupin with the Red Jacket. U:
  18. DOTA 2

Hillary's lulls is probably the best auto correct I've ever seen? Anyway, easy is not synonymous with overpowered!
  19. DOTA 2

She is great but your implication was that she was overpowered, which I don't really think is true. U:
  20. Starship Troopers

I have never seen the movie or read the book. I guess I should?
  21. anime

Anyone been watching the new Lupin III series? It's pretty great. I am enjoying it quite a bit, as a casual fan of Lupin. It's more about Fujiko than it is about Lupin, though. This series takes place before any other piece of Lupin fiction, before any of theusual gang really knows each other. Before Zenigata is driven mad by his inability to ever defeat Lupin. Warning: boobs. The first episode was about Fujiko meeting Lupin. The second, about her meeting Jigen. And finally the third about her meeting Goemon. Next episode brings Lupin (and Zenigata!) back. I'm excited. Funimation has been putting up the subs on their website for your streaming pleasure. How nice of them! http://www.funimation.com/lupin-the-third-fujiko-mine
  22. Thanks! I've built a new house, to the east above my insanity pit. In the basement is a bunch of dirt and cobblestone, if anyone wants it! Just don't take all the cobblestone, as that's what I use to make my tools for the most part. U:
  23. Dishonored - or - GIFs By Breckon

But they said* you'd be able to do it without killing people. So... don't kill people? *Of course, as always, we must take statements like this from the developers with a grain of salt. But even so. Also, I'm guessing that doesn't include the actual target of your assassination, but by golly, it'd sure be neat if it did.
