That is one franchise for which I can never again be excited.

The Last of Us was brutal in the right way, though. It made sense in the context of the last of the humans fighting against each other for survival. That's probably the game I'm most excited for out of everything I've seen so far, except maybe Watch Dogs. Although, if it ends up being nothing BUT that combat, I'll lose all interest. I'm hoping they just did that for the purpose of demoing the game. Also I don't have a PS3 so I can't play it anyway. ) : EDIT: eughraaaa single colon emoticon is starting to drive me nuts

Well, E3 was originally a press only thing, right. It's only in recent years that it all started being livestreamed, etc. But, yes, they're utterly awful.

Well, I laughed, and I didn't think it was in bad taste. BUT WHAT DO I KNOW.

I found Rock of Ages to be infinitely more fun once I started treating it as a platformer. The key hunting and speedruns were actually my favorite parts of the game. X: But, yeah, the main draw, the tower defense-itude, is kinda lame, since every single level is, as you say, basically the same damn thing. A real shame, too. I think the game has a lot more potential than they delivered. I'd've liked things like pinball bumpers, bouncy platforms, etc. You know, stereotypical platformer stuff, but this time you're a ball! Would've added a lot to the game, I think. Hell, maybe even some gravity reversal, but that might be going too crazy.

I actually want to start reading the books again, so I'll probably find out soon enough!

I opened this with a million other thread tabs, didn't read any text, and watched the video, and got all excited before I realized the overzealous use of lens flare and such was not like Nintendo - at least not in a way that stands out as bad - and proceeded to skim over the thread and realize it was fake. Actually to be honest my memories of the book made me think he actually did die there, and when I saw him being dragged away, I was genuinely surprised that he was going to live to fight another day. So when I saw him alive the next episode, I expected it. I can see how it would be unclear, but I would've just expected him to die if it was the enemy that found him.

But... it's a GOOD TV adaptation. One of the best I've seen.

This is nothing new. Honestly, I don't think it's as bad as it's been in the past. Or at least, not worse. It's a shame, though, 'cause Ubisoft generally makes some pretty great games. Too bad Ubisoft is a terrible company.

The VR missions are the best things about MGS. Seriously, I love them. Pure gameplay, no story fluff to bog it down. And MGS actually has good gameplay when not bogged down by the story! (I enjoy the ridiculousness of the story, too, though.) My favorite MGS game is Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions on PS1.

Oh that's not as exciting as I had hoped. Oh well.

Science is exciting because we're always learning new things. I'm not really sure how relevant that is to anything being discussed, but that's the only important thing that needs to be said about science, as far as I'm concerned! Also I hate taking a test next to a person who BREATHES. It is like it took real effort on his part to inhale AND exhale. SO LOUD.

As an atheist myself, I find pompous, preachy atheist zealots just as annoying as pompous, preachy religious zealots. That reminds me of the "AFK Tavern" nearby that sells nerd-themed drinks, like the cybermen something-or-other that was super delicious. But I like that image more, 'cause mock-metal stuff makes me laugh more than mock-nerd stuff.

I equipped the DK shield I got and it looks like a child's plaything so now I kind of like it because it's so ridiculous.

I bought pirate Tidehunter. I am not ashamed. I might also buy the kraken shell 'cause it's boss and doesn't overlap with any of the pirate items. And then I opened a chest. I am a little ashamed. I got a strange Juggernaut mask. (The best Juggernaut mask!) I also got a DK shield drop. But all of DK's shit is uuuuugly. ]; Also I hate DK.
