I came close to being rude to the guy, but eventually I settled on replying with a simple, "Oooookay then." Fall back plans... I can sleep in my car! I have plenty of friends around here, but I don't want to just take over their couch. Other than that, no, I don't have anything. I mean, the biggest problem is I need a month-to-month lease for only two or three months AT MOST because if I don't get a job in Redmond, I can't stay in Redmond. I'll have to go back to Ohio to live with my parents. If I do get a job in Redmond, I can always look for a more permanent place. Permanent places are easier to find than temporary, it seems. If I get a job elsewhere, I can leave right after I'm done with school. But my current lease ends slightly before classes end. I'm feeling sort of good about my prospects with one company, right now, so crashing at a friend's for a couple weeks wouldn't be tooooo bad. But I can't base my future on hopes and dreams.

I had a temporary apartment lined up for when my lease runs out in two weeks, but the guy just emailed me telling me, "nope sorry got someone else". How wonderful, now I have two weeks to find a place to stay for two months.

If there's one thing I kind of don't like about the Big Choice in the first episode, it's that I couldn't let both of them die. The first time, I was fucking paralyzed and couldn't decide who to save and I took too long and then the screen blacked out and it said "You died". While letting both of them die is the worst, I would've liked to see a scenario in which that didn't arbitrarily* kill me. *At the time, at least, that's what I felt. I saved Carly, the second time around, and I think she helps you out the rest of the way? I can't recall exactly, anymore. U:

I had yet another game where I carried as Tiny. I love carrying as Tiny. He's the best! I went Mjollnir, because I am the best of the best. Always go Mjollnir. Every hero. That plus aghanim's was funny. Playing Tiny always makes me happy. He's pretty much the only hero I can enjoy even when I'm losing.

I just mean, like... They're completely different games, even if one is a "sequel". They share a theme and... well, that's about it. Besides, what's the point of releasing a sequel to a multiplayer competitive game that's nearly identical to its predecessor? At that point, why not just play the original? But then I think Starcraft 2 is one of the worst sequels I've ever played for this exact reason.

I swear I've heard that Tosin song before but I've never heard of him. But who cares! Cloudkicker is great.

I think it's stupid to hate a game because it's not the same as its prequel*. It is a different game. Hate it on the merits of its own failures, rather than not meeting your expectations for a "sequel". I mean, for me personally, the only real similarities are the basic class characteristics. Beyond that, it feels and plays completely differently. As it should. RE: Unlocks: Honestly, a vast abundance of the weapons really don't change the game that much. There are very few that alter the game significantly. The demoman's sword 'n' shield being a good example. The sniper's bow. But well over 3/4 of the weapons barely change a thing and just come down to personal preference and playstyle. *I know that's not what you guys are really doing, at least not intentionally. But I do think there's some bias there that's really hard to ignore.

I wish it was that simple. A good number of the people I used to enjoy playing with still regularly play, and all on the same server. Alas!

I got to a point where I had played the game so much and was getting so good at it that the flaws were blinding me from the fun. It mostly had to do with me becoming a good spy, specifically, I think. Suddenly, my backstabs, which should have worked, didn't work. I previously blamed it on lack of skill, but I'd reached the point where I knew that was no longer the case. People complain about facestabs, but in my experience, they happen far less often than broken backstabs. That and various other problems (almost all netcode-related, most likely) were very frustrating, and drove me to quit. Now, I'm no longer good at the game, since I take months off at a time and never play for streaks longer than a week or two. Yet, it still bothers me. HNNNGH.

This was great, but I think Medic was still my favorite. U: It's a shame at this point I enjoy the TF2 characters much more than I enjoy the TF2 game. I don't really like it anymore. I keep trying! But I just get bored and annoyed within ten minutes. It used to be my go-to game. I don't even think I can blame the weapons and unlocks. I think I've just Had My Fun.

So this looks kind of like a more tactical (and also turn-based) multiplayer Plants vs. Zombies with cards, where both players are trying to destroy each others' lawnmowers. I mean, uh... no actually I do mean that. That was my first thought! Anyway, I think it looks neat. Hard to judge a game like this based on a video like this, though. Usually I need to actually get some first-hand gameplay before I pass any judgment. I'm interested.

Oh man oh man that video was great Nach. I love people dancing to neat music and also I love mashups. I wanna dance like that. Oh man I haven't listened to Modest Mouse or Ugly Casanova in years. Turns out I still like them! Yay, music! I listen to a lot of different music. There isn't a genre I don't like. This is my latest obsession! It's so goddamn catchy. Yeah, it's nice that they're all ridiculously flawed, but unlike for example It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, they're not complete and total shits. I like It's Always Sunny, but it can get to be Too Much, sometimes. I really wasn't expecting to like it as much as I do. Probably because a lot of my friends and acquaintances whose tastes are generally suspect also love it. Also, I discovered Donald Glover through his hip-hop persona, Childish Gambino, but man he's a great actor, too. Love it.

I said that was part of the reason, along with the word itself! And I was making literally zero judgment on whether or not it's a bad thing at the time. As I said, I was replying to Yufster, who expressed a wish that people as a whole would come to better understand what feminism is all about. Now, entirely separate from anything I've said on the topic prior, I will make a judgment. I agree with Yufster's sentiment. Your apparent distaste with what I said seems to stem entirely from a miscommunication. That sucks! I will repeat: prior to this post, I was not making any judgment.

But you're wrong. Anyone can be impartial when making observations. Literally anyone. I'm not talking about the actual definition of feminism or what people want to be the definition. I'm talking about what people in general believe. You never actually even said I was wrong. People tend to associate feminism with women. Tell me I'm wrong! If you... do, I, uh, I don't know what to say. It's kind of a fact.

Well, I wasn't aware of that, and that sucks.
