I was shocked and pleased to hear Dwarf Fortress is on the list. Man.

This line is just really weird to me. Why would you ever say this? If there was an asshole, he'd take it as bait to be an asshole. If there are no assholes, the community in question is possibly going to be offended by the implication. I guess I just swore so I am clutter. But man, what.

Lord of the Rings was great. I hate the books. I never watched the extended editions or anything. I love The Hobbit, book edition. Kind of excited for the movie, but not like SUPER excited just KIND OF excited.

I mean, I know that's not what you meant, but there's still more to it than just reducing the number of polygons and creating a better art style. Definitely cheaper in the long run, though, of course!

Yeah I have zero interest in playing games that look like System Shock in 2012+. Low-poly can be done, but you still need to make up for it in other areas. SS wouldn't cut it today.

Wireless controller used to have a lot of issues (with drivers, I think). I don't know what they were secifically, or if it still does.

Minish Cap and Phantom Hourglass are both fun romps. Link's Awakening is still king of the 2D Zeldas, though. But whatever blah blah everyone has opinions. It's not your fault if you're wrong!!!!! The problem with Zelda is that they never do anything different. And, yes, that is a real problem. Majora's Mask is the only 3D Zelda that really stands out in terms of gameplay and world design. Wind Waker just takes the big empty Hyrule Field and replaces it with a big empty ocean. I like Wind Waker, but, speaking from a purely observational point of view, that's what it is. Twilight Princess is Ocarina of Time restructured. Skyward Sword was a pretty decently-sized step in the right direction of creating a seamless world (although it did still have the obviously-separate HERE IS A DUNGEON sections), but then the belligerent handholding threw it backwards in an entirely different backward direction. Hnngh. I mean, I could write a lot about this, if I really wanted to put in the time, but everyone who is a fan of Nintendo and Zelda is no doubt already pretty familiar with all of the arguments I would make. The biggest problem, perhaps, is that it doesn't matter. Zelda games continue to sell, and I continue to love every single one of them, despite their flaws. They're never outright terrible games. They're never even bad. They're always at least good. HNNGH.

I DID A NEW VID This is probably one of my favorite things to ever happen in Dota 2. I was laughing so hard over the mic at the time. That Luna was belligerent in her trashtalk, despite so obviously losing, but at least she was a good sport about it. I also received a well-earned badger courier for that game. I ROCKED that shit. U:

Wait what the fuck I thought those were two different games from skimming over the conversation earlier today and you guys were just for some reason comparing them because they were similar. Who is responsible for ruining Overstrike? Geez, it looked like such a fun, cheese-embracing action romp as Overstrike, and now it just looks like any other generic shooter ugh ugh ugh. I don't really think that's a valid thing. There've been a number of games that have gone in the opposite direction, as well. See: Borderlands.

I honestly jump for joy to play another fucking Mario and Zelda game. Well, not so much the NSMB series, but definitely the Galaxy games. Also super stoked for Pikmin 3. The controller gimmicks are quite fun when done correctly. If I cared about graphics, I would shun consoles entirely, as they're all inferior to PC... The hand-holding is about the only legitimate complaint I see in your post. It's atrocious and I hate it. But it's not enough to drive me away. And, to be honest, of all the Nintendo games I played on Wii, it's only really an issue in Skyward Sword. U:

Mmm, I disagree entirely. Whenever I think about my favorite MGS moments, I always think of the PS1 VR Missions game. Similarly, I'd love a Dishonored game that's totally like that. I don't need no story if the mechanics are there for a really fun game. That's not to say I don't appreciate a good story. I still enjoy MGS' story (far more than I should), but it's completely secondary to the gameplay. An example of the opposite, where I care more about the story, would be, well, The Walking Dead.

...It's a first-person shooter. I don't understand the issue.
