  1. Half-Life 3

Right, but that's my point. You're basically begrudging them for not being open about what they're doing. Which is fine, because it irritates the fuck outta me, but call a horse a horse.
  2. Half-Life 3

The menu is revolutionary? C'mon, now... GERBIL. I feel like, if Valve were just more open about the shit they do, you probably wouldn't imply that Valve doesn't "do so with the intention of exploring and and then executing instead of stopping short on the former."
  3. Tomb Raider

Really likin' this game. Especially the part where Ms. Croft gets goddamn brutalized every other scene. It's so... hot. No, but seriously, what a gorgeous game. The environments, the set pieces are so well-crafted. Gameplay-wise, it's a bit rote, lots of QTEs, but I don't even care, and that's goddamn fantastic! I've counted three down-the-shirt shots in the 86 minutes I've played. (I stopped last night when I unlocked fast travel.) Dat. Hair.
  4. Recently completed video games

But isn't that, like, what this forum is about apparently as far as I can tell? Skidooooo. I beat Sugar Cube: Bittersweet Factory. It is a puzzle platformer in which you control an anthropomorphic sugar cube. It was fun.
  5. Movie/TV recommendations

I'd say the most challenging thing about The Tree of Life is understanding the quiet whispers drowning in an at-times overbearingly bombastic soundtrack. Jesus Christ.
  6. Movie/TV recommendations

I want one, but am physically incapable of it.
  7. Movie/TV recommendations

I used to hate cities, but I definitely wouldn't trade it. I love the small-town, open space vibe, but being in the city, there's so much more to do.
  8. Movie/TV recommendations

I'm not much of a fan of Ratatouille at all. U: There's nothing like big, wide-open vistas to make me feel happy and, well, free. Which was kind of the whole schtick of the movie, too, she wanted to be free to do her own thing. Definitely cliche, but what're you gonna do. I work in San Francisco, and while I love the city, it definitely makes me feel claustrophobic at times. All those tall buildings everywhere. Yuck!
  9. Movie/TV recommendations

Wow. Okay. Asking a dude to chill out is apparently a grievous sin, now. TP! WHY! JUST WHY! You literally could've left your post at this, and I would've gone, "Oh, okay, my bad!" LITERALLY!!!!! hibberty jibberty I vastly preferred Brave to Wreck-It Ralph, almost entirely because of the setting. It's not really fair of me to prefer it for that reason, because I think it's a much weaker story than most of their other Good Stuff, but I did and I do! I think it's the best-looking movie Pixar has yet made. I did quite enjoy Wreck-It Ralph, though.
  10. Movie/TV recommendations

    Oh calm your beard, man.
  11. Wasteland 2

Well, I didn't back Wasteland 2, but this is kind of what I've been worried might start happening more often - developers caving into the people who funded their game. I'm kind of interested to see if it'll result in the first high-profile Kickstarter disaster, or if the game will be good despite that.
  12. Movie/TV recommendations

That's weird. I don't think I could possibly give less of a shit about how polarizing opinions are or are not. U: They're not morons because they didn't like it. They're morons because Ben X called them morons first!
  13. Nintendo 3DS

Well, in Japan, everyone plays Dragon Quest. Like, everyone. Again, sourced from my friend who lives in Japan.
  14. Movie/TV recommendations

I have no issue with wanting your money back if you disliked a movie, I just never realized it was widespread enough to be a Thing like this. I fucking detested Sucker Punch, it's probably the movie I hate most out of all movies I've seen, and yet I never even considered asking for my money back.
  15. Movie/TV recommendations

Yeah, I know, I get it. I just hate that it exists. It's irrational. My hatred, I mean. I hate catering to morons. I hate that people have to. I HATE. And, also, I'm not nearly as upset about this as I've portrayed, I was just expressing a thought at random, and I'm prone to dumb exaggerations of my own emotions. U:
  16. Nintendo 3DS

StreetPass is pretty rad. It'd be more rad if 3DS's were as popular as iPhones! I finally started carrying it around with me during the day, and I only get maybe eight a day, max. Even when I clear it out mid-day. In San Francisco. And I work at a decently-sized gaming company. A friend of mine who lives in Japan once told me he got dozens a day.
  17. Movie/TV recommendations

Okay, that's fair. I'm not a fan of acknowledging the morons, I guess, and bothering to explain yourself to them. "We really believe in this movie!" Fuck 'em. FUCK 'EM. (The morons.) I mean, I get that they kind of had to. Whatever. More importantly, do people really ask for their money back if they don't like a movie? The hell?
  18. Movie/TV recommendations

I very specifically clarified that it didn't, in response to Max's post questioning my motivations for the original post. Do you just take joy in provoking me? I don't get it.
  19. Movie/TV recommendations

I wasn't. I was faulting the poster. Or whoever decided to put it up, I guess.
  20. Movie/TV recommendations

I was interested [in The Tree of Life] already but that poster just ugh. Don't be so apologetic. It's gross.
  21. Movie/TV recommendations

I can't tell if you guys are being sarcastic or what. Also I've never heard of this movie.
  22. Games giveaway

Should've never happened! Never happened to me, for sure.
  23. General Video Game Deals Thread

Hah, they did basically the same thing for XCOM preorders. It's pretty cool.
  24. This is the new (console) shit!

AFAIK, the chip is dedicated entirely to download/upload, so you can download updates in the background and such without interfering with your game. I'm not 100% sure it'll be used for the streaming, but I think it'd be foolish not to.
  25. This is the new (console) shit!

In particular, the video streaming stuff is PRESUMABLY way, WAY easier. As someone who's dabbled in it, out of idle curiosity, streaming on PC can be really annoying. Once you get it working once, it's not a big deal, but that first step can be a big hurdle. Being built right into the OS is huge, I think. That and having a dedicated chipfor it on PS4 - something I consider one of the best features of the PS4 hardware, personally - makes me pretty interested.
