They absolutely care. Riot has the community tribunal thing and actively bans accounts that repeatedly offend. I think Valve isn't quite as proactive with actually banning people, but they try to promote sportsmanship with the commendation/report system.

Yeah, this, absolutely! I am a shithead when I'm playing with my friends... but, then, we all are. When I play with someone I don't know, or someone who's new/whose skill level I don't yet know, I'm pretty calm and forgiving. "Try this next time!", etc.

I can't think of a single moment when it became depressing besides that dude dying. After which it almost immediately went back to being ridiculously badass.

Daryl pre-midway-through-season-two is just awkward. Making a game that stars him? Weird. (The game probably actually sucks for other reasons, too.)

Daryl is awesome I'm not sure what universe you live in. Also the show invariably sucks until season three, at which point I started actually liking it. i'd given up, but a friend talked me into giving it another shot. Welp. Where Am I?

Man I really enjoyed Gears of War 1 when I had a 360. I wish they'd do the PC thing so I could enjoy the video games again. IT'S IN THE UNREAL ENGINE C'MON.

I'm pumped and will be pumped every time I'm reminded of its existence. Bastion is one of those games that does all of the things ALL OF THE THINGS right for me.

Well my dudes are definitely happier by a large margin than prior to my lowering taxes. It's just what. I dunno if I've ever seen a building abandoned due to crime rate, even during those times when I get yelled at for not having enough cops. For me it's high tax rates 90% of the time. The rest, it's either not enough workers or not enough SKILLED workers or they feel sick. Is there a way to clean dirty ground or is it ruined forever?

can we just talk about simcity Last night I lowered my taxes to lower than they started at. I was tired of bulldozing ten buildings every minute. I lost like 40000 dudes because I lowered my taxes. I guess having a negative hourly profit drives citizens away (this government doesn't know what the fuck is going on!!), even though my trade depots were MORE than making up for the cost. I guess I should feel relieved. I finally found something that I hate that affects me in a really negative way! The small city size is annoying, but it really just means I have to adjust the way I think about my city, rather than being a real detriment to the game. Now, though, I can jump aboard the rage bandwagon and boycott EA for the rest of my life! Haha just kidding I still like the game fuck you.

I was pretty excited to discover A WHOLE EXTRA MENU HIDDEN BEHIND A BUTTON I FORGOT ALL ABOUT. It allowed me to make money by building Trade Depots. Sweet! I'm no longer constantly struggling for funding!

While true, I feel like that's a misrepresentation of the entire game. It's unfortunate that it even exists, because I've had several friends refuse to play it, under the assumption that the entire game was just dumb poop and dick jokes, until I badgered them about it enough to just PLAY IT NOW, at which point they agreed it was a really fun and funny game. Obviously the poop and dick jokes do exist, but they play like fifth fiddle to what actually makes the game great.

Except all of that is virtually identical to GTA at minute zero.

Wait, what. Saints Row The Third and Grand Theft Auto 4 both start you off on the same foot, basically. The only difference is SR3 gives you all kinds of insane toys to play with - both in terms of wacky guns and cars and weirdo character skills - as you progress through the game, while GTA4... gives you some new guns, and eventually a helicopter. I literally can't even begin to understand how someone would think GTA games are "so famously fun from the first moment" where SR games are not. GTA wins in atmosphere - SORT OF, as it's mostly just a different kind of atmosphere - but that's... that's pretty much it, until you get into the story. At which point the games diverge enormously. And while SR3's shooting mechanics may not be perfect, GTA4's are the same, if not worse.

Oh man now I want a SimCity expansion or whatever that lets me build watertop cities where all transportation is boats and also maybe just maybe crazy ziplines from tower to tower JUST BECAUSE.
