Even if you're doing well in games where you lose, that still means you aren't having an impact. It also means the people you're allied with suck. It also means your MMR is fucked up right now. Flynn's probably right; the influx of new players plus your long break undoubtedly had an impact. The more you play, the less that feeling occurs, because you start getting matched up with people indicative of your skill level. You're not "too good". You're "too good for the people you're playing with". Which, even that is probably untrue. I mean if you're bored, quit, whatever. But I doubt you're as hot shit as you seem to think you are. HoN is the ugliest game I've ever played in my life, so it's good that Strife is more acceptable in that regard. But if you haven't read about it, you should. Sounds awful. No communication cross team (okay whatever). Limited communication within team (what?!). Can't see teammates cooldowns. Etc. Awful.

I have a friend who refused to play it because of that, no matter how many times I told him it was just a dumb side item that didn't even have an impact on the game.

I had a dream that I just woke up from where... my toilet overflowed. I mean, it overflowed a couple weeks ago, so I know where the dream came from. Anyway... The toilet overflowed. The floor of the bathroom was, instead of tile, some kind of carpet made of little bristles like a toothbrush (or a toilet brush, I s'pose!). When it overflowed, I was like "fuck" but I took my plunger to it and unclogged it. but then I needed to clean the gross dirty toilet water off the floor. So... I grabbed my toilet brush (why???) and proceeded to vigorously scrub at the toilet-brush-bristle-carpeted bathroom floor with said toilet brush. The gross yellow pee stains wouldn't go away because it was all too deep in the bristle-carpet. I was talking to the brush in my hand like, "this is never going to come out, you know that, right, why are you making me do this?" What a gross dream. GROSS.
