  1. Gone Home from The Fullbright Company

I think maybe it's "young adult" because it's "simple"? (Note that I don't really agree with it being young adult, but it definitely is pretty straightforward, and I can see people confusing the two.)
  2. Wow, what happened. This episode! I loved it.
  3. Yeah, the sound is pretty bad, hah. Sorry. ): I wouldn't have even posted it if I didn't like the death so much. Doing a sort of split-screen merger of the video was my original idea. Unfortunately, he can't stream. He can only record on Fraps. Which would make it hard for me to watch him if I die first. I'm gonna see if I can't figure out how to make his streaming not destroy his framerate.
  4. I played this latest one at the same time as a friend, over Mumble. I recorded it. Unfortunately, the sound levels are wonky and I'm way quieter than he is. Hopefully I fixed that for future runs. Also another friend comes in out of nowhere to say hello with the worst microphone in existence. Anyway, the ending is very sad.
  5. Half-Life 3

I HAVE A VALVETESTAPP22609 IN MY STEAM LIBRARY THERE IS ONLY ONE THING IT COULD BE, MY FRIENDS
  6. Oh, I also use that, but I streamed to Twitch first. I also figured out the problem. Twitch made auto-archiving opt-in, so it didn't auto-archive the stream. So it's lost forever. Oh well! Not like it was anything special. I suck at talking to myself while playing a game. U: I generally use Fraps for recording directly to a file.
  7. Warning: Probably More Racist Than Funny
  8. Gone Home from The Fullbright Company

Neither do I, but here's an easy link: https://twitter.com/fullbright/statuses/389903471475843072 HMMMMMMM INTRIGUING
  9. Hah, it's the same way for me. I used to be so good at the original Spelunky. Almost always made it to the city of gold. This new version is fucking with me on a spiritual level.
  10. I Had A Random Thought...

Also I once had a pizza delivery man do this: 1) He called me on my phone to utter some incomprehensible thing in a thick accent. I'm normally forgiving of this, because I can't blame someone for their damned accent - but because of the stuff that happened afterward, it was just another thing on the pile of annoyances. Eventually I figured out that he was my delivery man! Cool. "I'll open the door for you." I live in an apartment complex, so I opened the front door so he could come up to my room. Every other delivery place around here does this without me even asking, so I expected him to do so as well. 2) He called me on my phone again, asking where I was. I told him I'd opened the door, and reminded him which number I lived in. Said I'd open the door again. He said, "You come down, yes?" Frustrated, I acquiesced. Went downstairs. It's not a big deal for me to go downstairs, so whatever. 3) Took my pizza, walked back inside. I'd already put the tip on the card, because I didn't have cash. He said, "No, minimum tip is five dollars." ... WHAT. 4) I didn't really know how to handle the situation, because I don't know, maybe that's a policy they have? Maybe delivery charge wasn't included originally, and I missed it, and that's what he actually meant by "tip"? I don't like to say no. I should have. Anyway, I went upstairs, telling him I'd be right back, and had to dig out two bucks in quarters from my change bucket. While I was doing this, the dude CALLED ME ON MY PHONE AGAIN. I almost just ignored it and didn't go back downstairs. But I did, anyway. I never ordered from there again. I hate tipping.
  11. Ha-ha! I beat you, PATRICK. Take THAT. Don't give me that drunk excuse. I streamed it because everyone's streaming it, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to take that stream and put it on my youtubes. Not that I think it's worth watching or anything. What killed me this time was my damned curiosity. There was a dude with a boomerang. I'd never seen a boomerang before! I tried to kill him when I had only one hit left. It didn't work. Obviously.
  12. SOMA

System Shock is also a shooter, not atmospheric horror - by which I mean "a game like Amnesia". I'm very excited about Routine. Miasmata isn't very... horror at all. Pathologic is an unknown to me. The Void seems pretty dark and dirty. Also I should say that by "dark" I literally just mean "dark". I really dislike playing dark games. It's like a constant strain on my eyes.
  13. anime

I think there's still plenty of anime to watch with other people. Undeniably, there's also just a larger VOLUME of anime, and because stuff that's popular (tits and panty shots) is popular, it is the most common.
  14. Life

The coffee shop I go to every day by my apartment... Is now permanently closed. WHAT. I need this Dallas job more than ever. Speaking of: they told me I should know by Wednesday. The more time passes by, the more panicked I become. If I don't get this job, this one specifically, I am in danger of being more sad than ever. Ahhhhhh!
  15. I Had A Random Thought...

I fucking hate tipping. But I always tip well, because I know there are some people who tip poorly, even if the service is good. One time I got SCAMMED!!! by a South Korean cab driver. I was the dumb white dude just getting out of the airport, and he took me to my hotel, but didn't start the ticker, so I knew something was up, and at the end, he told me it was X Won (obviously, I forget the exact amount). Then he said "tip?!" So I tipped him a bit, too. But then the cab driver on the way back to the airport refused the tip I offered him. DANG.
  16. SOMA

Oh, I see the interview mentions SCP. Wonderful!
  17. SOMA

I really like the live-action stuff. It sorta reminds me of some of the things from The SCP Foundation, which is definitely a positive for me. The in-game trailer really brought me down, though. Mehhhhhhhhhhhhrhh. It's just so... the same as Amnesia or any other first-person atmospheric-horror game. Everything's dirty and dark. I don't know. I JUST DON'T KNOW. I wish someone would, at least once, pull off an atmospheric horror game that WASN'T dirty and dark.
  18. Pokémon X and Y

Uh all the cool people get Bulbasaur.
  19. The Wolf Among Us

There's no right or wrong answer. That choice unlocks a different bio for either choice. Achievements are dumb in this kind of game, anyway. U: I also noticed the thing in your spoiler.
  20. Spelunky!

It's always plugged in. Also, I can use it only for the second player. Won't let me use it for the first player. EDIT: WHOA. I remembered that the green light on the controller actually meant osmething. For some reason, it was only set to "player two". Unplugging it and plugging it back in fixed it. MAN. Well, whatever, all works now. lol died before getting any gold I USED TO BE GOOD AT THIS GAME WHAT HAPPENED
  21. anime

Uh, no, but also back then, I didn't really find myself thinking about it as often. A better answer is: yes, Yoko bothers me now, too.
  22. Pokémon X and Y

I think a better question is why did they still stick with a tile-based movement. It's fucking dumb. Especially since once you get the rollerskates, it's not tile-based anymore. Weirdest goddamn design decision.
  23. Sure. I guess what I meant more was that I'm amazed they even try - for the reason you stated. It's got to be such a downer. Then again, I guess it's not usually the people actually WORKING on the game that make the decision to make that game.
  24. Spelunky!

I just bought it yesterday and, despite being pretty good at the original Spelunky, had let my skills lapse to shit. Also, killing shopkeepers is way harder now than it was in the original. They used to very predictably run straight out the door after you steal something, making it very easy to time a jump on their had. Now they jump around a lot in the shop like assholes. DANG. Might have to only steal for now if they actually have a shotgun for sale. D: EDIT: Here's a thing I need to know, though. How the fuck do I enable controller support for the main menus. I can't for the life of me figure it out.
