No I've never played Grim Fandango. I guess now that I look at it more closely I recognize that thing embraced by the giant yellow monster as the main character. While I'm at it, I've also never played Full Throttle.

Idle Thumbs 140: The Customer's Always An Asshole
Twig replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
I've played DayZ and some cool things have happened to my friends but never to me. I just get shot. And then shot again. I keep hoping I'll get kidnapped or whatever, but it doesn't happen. ): Granted, I've only played the original mod. I don't own the standalone edition. Though I'm tempted to use a bit of my ecksmas money to buy it after hearing Sean's stories. But will I really play it. -
I don't know what that is but it's terrifying.

I loved everything about this game! Exceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeept Man what a goddamn gorgeous game. And the amount of care they put into making the animations not feel AWKWARD when characters are touching each other. I've become so accustomed to seeing an absolutely absurd amount of clipping when video game characters hug that it was almost surreal NOT seeing it happen everywhere. Still wasn't perfect, but I'm glad they took the time to make it as good as they did. Especially considering what the game is.

My favorite reviews are definitely the ones that assume the reader already knows what the game is about. No need to talk about the graphics! We have screenshots and videos for that. how does it make you feeeeeel It'd definitely be an interesting experiment if one day OGR is huge and you just... add that switch. How would people react? Would fans of the website boycott out of sheer rage that someone dared express an opinion? Oh man. Oh man. -

Oh man that's beautiful. Props. Only mildly scarred by two sentences later when you forget the subject! "To hack, the presses a button to stop a waving needle in marked positions at the bottom of the screen. " -
What the fuck this game looks amazing. The art I mean. This is the first time I've actually looked at any video of it. I only remember glancing at (what I believed was?) concept art during the original Kickstarter run. DANNNNG guys I'm in love.

Well I finished it. The game itself is actually fun and I really enjoyed it. Although it was a bit frustrating in certain instances. For the most part playing on the highest difficulty worked out well. But then I'd run into a brick wall after a couple hours of smooth sailing, which I'd break through for more smooth sailing, and then another wall, etc. The writing. At first it was just bad and cheesy and bad and I enjoyed it on that level. Then it wore out its welcome. Then it got offensive. One of the last lines in the game (warning: offensive): I wish I was making that up. Also, there was a TON of copyright infringement. Not even parody (though there is some of that, poorly done). Just straight up dropping Zoidberg in the sewers for a one-off gag, or being able to buy the Death Star as a minipet, or etc. Weird shit. Were this a "Real Game", somebody would surely be in trouble right now... Good game scarred by horrible and offensive and unfunny writing.

No money to access a swimming pool. I think there is a gym with one nearby if I had the money.

This is probably part of it, but it's still so heavily skewed toward females. Though I do think Japan is much more willing to ALSO do weird things with males than western culture is. So where western culture titillation is like 100% female 0% male, Japanese is like... 99% female 1% male? I am pulling numbers out of my ass. I could even be completely wrong. I have no research to back this up. It's just something that feels sort of true.

I actually think if you can prove your guild was actually successful and more importantly solid, that's a pretty good example of your skills, heh.

She's easy enough to stop pushing provided you have any hero with AOE (or, better, cleave) to deal with spiderlings. And if she runs into trees... just ignore her. Most of what makes her strong, in my opinion, is people wasting like two minutes trying to find her in trees before giving up. Waste ZERO minutes! Zero SECONDS, too!

Walking and jogging have the same problem. BORING. I'd love to go hiking but only WITH somebody, as a social activity or whatever. Biking I'm okay with as a means of travel but don't want to do it every day. Do you see my problem. Swimming is the only fitness activity I even remotely enjoy, and I enjoy it a lot. O WOE IS ME.

Totally agreed.

I go to sleep every night thinking to myself, "Tomorrow's the day I start running." Then I wake up and I don't want to - not because it's hard and I fear the challenge (and boy oh boy would it be a challenge for my body to run even a few FEET) but because it's an activity that I absolutely loathe. There's always the possibility that over time I would grow to enjoy it. I've heard such things from a number of people who proclaim to have once been of a similar mindset. But fuuuuuck it's so boring. I want access to an indoor swimming pool. I love swimming.

Sure but I'd argue that the romance subplot in Korra is just bad. Not because it's a trope - because it's baaaad.

Pff if you really wanted to protect her, you would've MADE SURE SHE HAD SOMETHING TO EAT you heartless monster. But uh to say what I actually wanted to say: In these instances where game sequels heavily rely on choices made in prequels, I think it's a shame more developers don't invest in tools that allow the player to construct a save file for the purpose of playing said sequel. It really sucks when you lose your data for one reason or another.
