How do you feel about slerp?
-
It LOOKS good, sure. Fortunately, even though I unapologetically love TMNT, I have no problem with a bad movie being made, if it turns out bad. Who knows. Transformers movies were fun, if stupid, so maybe this will be too!

But the people who make video games do hold opinions, and it's entirely possible that they have unintentionally absorbed racist thoughts or feelings throughout their lifetime that they then express in the video game without realizing that what they're doing is actually harmful.
-
Except then it'd be racist because a white person is leading the black people to freedom because the black people couldn't handle it themselves. Unless they were all white, in which case it'd be racist because there are no black people. Everybody's racist no matter what they do!!! EDIT: Also I'm racist for only mentioning white and black people in the lines above. What about other races?! O woe is me. To be fair, people are not saying black people can't be evil or can't be good. They're saying that, given the context of the rest of the game (white supremacy, blacks are savages, etc.), it is racist to then send the strongest, most dominant black character down the route of a power-hungry savage. I completely disagree that it's racist, but I felt the need to clarify on the behalf of the It's Racist crowd.

isn't it "lore'd schmanagement"
-
I think it's authentic in ways far beyond appearance! But I agree that it's gross, and maybe if people stopped using it just because it's true to life it would maybe just maybe ever so slowly stop being true to life. Especially in a Batman game, there's no real reason to be true to life. It's a game about a guy running around in a cape and underwear, ferchrissake. Anyway uh what am I doing in a Metal Gear Solid thread? This is awkward... Sorry.
-
I was thinking about that just today! Someone somewhere (I have no idea who!) recently (as in the past couple of years, which isn't really that "recently") said to me (or in my presence) that cyberpunk no longer worked as a genre because it's not as relevant in today's world where people don't fear giant corporations taking over the world. In one sense, that's sort of true. People don't fear it anymore... Uh okay back to your regularly scheduled Oculus talk!

I sort of lied! It's not actually that I don't want to explain. It's just that it was so long ago, and I have a terrible memory. I couldn't possibly do my own opinions justice. I really liked the game. A lot. It has its flaws, but in the end they did not matter much to me. But at this point, my memory of the game is so hazy that anything I say is going to be vague, wishy-washy bullshit. And so: BI is a great game! Sno basically said a lot of things I'd probably say, anyway.
-
Because I don't want to! I did all that back when the game had just come out, and at this point I don't remember enough to make any strong argument for or against anything. I'm sure my opinions are somewhere in the earlier pages of this thread.
-
Me too. Lost I couldn't care less about, though. It stopped being good halfway through season two.
-
I liked the game, too, and I am similarly frustrated by the constant hatred! My solution is to shout "BI is a great game!" whenever I see more than twenty posts in a row declaring its status as the worst game of all time. I don't blame anyone for disliking it, but ehhh it's like every time it's brought up people feel the need to shit all over it. Not that I have anything against sharing your opinions with people. I do it all the time. But ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. The constant vitriol feels, to me, the same as people who scream, for example, about Gone Home not being a game every time it's brought up in conversation. Well, except for the part where I respect BI haters' opinions, and I don't respect Gone Home non-game preachers.

BI is a great game!

Agreed. The earlier books are good, but the later books are fantastic. For both the reason you stated, and just because he clearly improves a metric buttload as a writer.

I think I might have made a big mistake... How does VAC work exactly?
Twig replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
Maybe, but then there's the Steam Achievement Manager, which, as far as I know, Valve doesn't really give a damn about. People talk about using it all the time, even on Valve's own forums. All it does is literally just unlock the achievements you choose to unlock. -
Having known Gormongous' profession beforehand, I really enjoyed reading Alex's post. It amused me.

I thought it was $19 a month? If it's $19 once, then nevermind, I retract my statement.

D'aww that's so sweet I love you too.

Unity still has a free option, however limited. This is a big factor for the super small time who are just getting into things and/or have no money to spend. Which is fine, because not everyone has to be going after that market.

Exactly! Beer is disgusting, period! If you're going to drink any, might as well drink cheap and easily available beer!
