  1. DOTA 2

It can be dodged, though, even if Lion clicks on you. Even just walking to the side at the right time/speed will dodge it.
  2. DOTA 2

    That's weird. They're both skillshots!
  3. DOTA 2

It hits the nearest enemy unit, including invisible units. A skillshot is defined as a skill that allows aiming, rather than clicking on the hero. Hence, it is a skill shot. By your logic, Lion's skill is not a skillshot because you have the ability to target. That's silly.
  4. DOTA 2

It is exactly a skillshot... You no longer have to click directly on a hero to harm them. It's an AOE. You still can, I think, but you don't have to. This allows you to hurt invisible heroes if you have an idea where they might be, and it will reveal them.
  5. Cartoons!

Started watching Gravity Falls 'cause tegan was talking about it. MAN OH MAN. Lovin' it. I feel like it's one step away from Sam & Max. Lots of crazy antics with supernatural wackiness. Basically just missing the swearing and we'd be good to go. Also I really dig the opening video. It's just really nicely animated and put together in a lot of ways.
  6. Life

Relatively close to Cincinnati. Lebanon, specifically. My friends are from Dayton. I play Dota with one of them frequently, and he employs usage of the word "gay" pejoratively, which is awkward because I regularly complain about the many homophobic comments in that toxic, toxic community. I guess I had one friend like that in San Francisco. But only one. And only one in Seattle, too. Weird stuff. Sorta jarring!
  7. The Dresden Files

I watched the whole show, and came out pretty negative. Maybe it's just because I liked the books so much, but on the other hand, there must be a reason it was cancelled so early!

Something hilarious (to me) that I noticed about OKCupid: When I was living in San Francisco, the suggested matches OKCupid would throw at me were all in excess of 85% according to whatever algorithm they use... Ever since I moved back to Ohio, the best match they've suggested to me so far is 74%, with an average more in the high-60s. Man, I must've really gone west coast while I lived there the past four years. Related, I've noticed that a lot of my friends here in Ohio seem really... closed-minded to me. It makes things kind of awkward sometimes. I try not to bring it up or dwell on it too much but man.
  9. The Dresden Files

Well guys. You did it. I'm going to start rereading the series NOW.
  10. Cartoons!

    Tatami Galaxy is the best.
  11. Cartoons!

Adventure Time is the most bizarre phenomenon. It started out as a short with just completely random absurd humor and it was great and now it's expanded to this at least six-season series with some seriously dark undertones. And it still manages to be funny when it actually tries to. Amazing.

  19. Amateur Game Making Night

Damn I want to make a game that does pretty much exactly that, but with a twist that is rad and awesome and also single-player and puzzle platformery. I think I posted the initial prototype here a while ago. Everyone's better at motivation than me.

    pineapple?
  21. Life

    lol ok
  22. Hipsters

I completely disagree that there's anything political about those covers you think are racist or whatever. Unless you can give me proof of it, of course.
  23. Hipsters

I guess I just don't give a shit about that. I like "black" music and I like "white" music and I like when they intersect and I like when they jump the boundary(??) between the two and I just fucking like music. I guess I'm part of the problem(??), but I don't care.

Okay Hey Ya is a song I already love so I'll listen to this and GET BACK TO YOU. Within this post. I've never heard a cover of Hey Ya before, so there's some context for you. All right it definitely has a more melancholic feel to it than the original song, but is that really so bad? I mean if you don't like it, whatever, that's fine, but I -- oh he's really getting into it now. And now we're back to chill melancholy. Hmm, hmmmm. I see nothing objectively terrible about this, I'm sorry. I've still got two and a half minutes left, though! Oh, is he smiling while hey ya'in'? I think he was! WHOA HE OPENED HIS EYES! And that's a definite smile. A joyful smile! SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE IT! Like a polaroid picture, uh huh. He's pretty into it here. Oh yeah. Diggin' it. Seems to have cheered up a bit, eh? Was definitely a little sad in the beginning, but by the end it's pretty upbeat! Nice. Oh. I don't like the way it ended with a slow hey ya. Felt like a fall back in tone. I liked the buildup, but then it broke down in the last ten seconds. Oh well, ain't perfect. Ain't bad. Uh sorry I think I went a little overboard there.
