This mentality is what ruined my first eleven games with Io. It wasn't until my last game where I decided to just be super aggressive and mobile and help everyone that I finally played pretty well and was largely responsible for us winning the game.
-
The trick with Io is to curl up and cry because it's a miserable experience. I lost eleven games as Io before finally winning one. Five of those losses were during my current A-Z Challenge. Ugh worst.

That is the best gif.

I thought it was pretty standard villain motivation and redemption affair. I can definitely see why you'd think that way but I definitely never would've arrived there on my own in a million years. Maybe that speaks more of me than the movie though.
-
Well that's not what I got out of the movie at all.
-
Well I'd prefer it if I don't have to unlock him because he was available in all games be default.

Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

You're right. That was fun though so I think I just put it all on the same level in my mind. -

I actually liked Contact a lot, but I'm unsurprised that you don't because most people didn't. It's been way too long since I played it for me to expound on why I liked it. I just remember being happy after I finished it. -
The vital factor is I'm really stupid and didn't realize it existed separate from the wii remote plugin!!!

Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

I was... going to ask the same thing. I played ALL of that game, and I don't remember anything significantly sidequesty. There were rewards here and there for exploring a level thoroughly, but for the most part levels were just straightforward "do this thing please". Unless my memory is completely terrible. Which, well, let's be honest, it is. -
Bloodborne (Dark Souls 2 successor (Dark Souls successor (Demon's Souls successor)))
Twig replied to melmer's topic in Video Gaming
I'm pissed that it's exclusive because it looks way more appealing to me (purely on a surface level) than anything I've seen of Demon's or Dark Souls and I really don't want to buy a dumb console. -
That's good! Sorry I suck at words. Because I knew it was a terrible idea, I Googled Wayoshi... and got... not many yoshis. Mostly... My Little Pony? What?
-
Yeah this. Cinematic trailers and talking heads don't do it for me. I wanna see some gameplay! If I'm going to listen to someone talk about the game... I'd rather read it instead.

I wonder if Sakurai's also turned around re: competitive play. We all know he was pretty uninterested in it for Brawl, to the extent that he added things and took away things because he felt the game was too competitive.
-
You know, that's a fair point, and I'll accept it! I can definitely see why it'd be useful for tournaments, and it's definitely cool that Nintendo is apparently trying to embrace the community rather than repulse it.

I think his message is pretty goddamn blatant and straightforward. I also forgot to mention the sheer hatred he presents for pacifism. ANYWAY. Yes, the first book is fine. There's a reason I read the whole series. The first book is fine. The second and third book are fine. It gets worse and worse and by the end I was reading out of spite. But whatever. You're free to like what you want! I hate it so so so much. It should've ended at the first book, with maybe a few more chapters to wrap things up. Dang. I'll stop now. Thinking about the series makes me BOIL WITH RAAAGE and that's reason enough for me to walk away now.

I don't think there's anything wrong with visiting a McDonald's in a foreign country. It's always interesting to see how familiar things change in different environments. I hate McDonald's, though, so what do I know.

I skipped through that video and there was no gameplay. Worst.

Wear a Canadian flag around your neck so people know you're from Canada because everyone loves Canadians!!!
-
Exactly. This is really stupid. Ugh.

Nnnno? What? I feel like I explained it pretty clearly, because it was a very simple thing I was trying to say. You're going to have to pinpoint exactly what you don't understand about what I said for me to attempt to clarify. For now, I'll just summarize everything I've said and hope you're less confused... Well, first I'll explain what people were talking about that I responded to. Ubisoft has this whole invasion of privacy thing going on in Watch Dogs. This includes lots of personal things about various people's lives in the game. You can reveal this information to the public, and the public will react. Yes? We can all agree that's what's happening. Some of these pieces of information are sensitive things in our modern society. They chose to use a set of characteristics and facts that might be controversial precisely because they might be controversial. But they fail executing this in a meaningful or respectful way because they are Ubisoft and they're making a Video Game first and a Statement second. Or maybe third or fourth or last. Still confused?

I'm anti-recommending the Sword of Truth series. It's the worst fantasy series I've ever read by a long mile. God I hate it so much. Ugh. It's so fucking preachy. The first few books are like "all right this could be fun" dumb fantasy crap dumbness, which is great!, but then it devolves into Goodkind shoving anti-communism down your throat for the rest of the series. Sorry. I fucking hate it. Sorry again.
-
Why. Why don't they just make a standalone classic controller or whatever that works over Bluetooth. Why this dumb shit. God this is dumb.
-
As cynical as I'm being, if it's actually reported to be fun to play, I'll try it out. I mean, it's free, so I might just try it out regardless. But yeah I'm not very optimistic. Especially about the idea of a lasting community.
