I really enjoyed the combat in both games. I think the first game's biggest flaw (and boy is it really a big one) is the swamp. That swamp area SUCKS so much, and it lasts so long. And yeah the intro to the second game is really awful.

Good news! I was wrong! Between when I finished Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (LESS THAN A WEEK AGO) and now, my controller's left control stick pooped itself. So it is the controller. I've ordered an Xbone controller because the drivers were just released today. Convenient! Soon...

Don't have any other controllers, but I know this one works for every other game just like it should work. So maybe it's broken but only in a very specific way that only surfaces with Dark Souls? Also reinstalling didn't fix it. I'm sad.

Inverted? That doesn't sound very similar! I guess I can try reinstalling, but it's such a very specific problem that I'm not too optimistic.

I finally tried playing this yesterday and discovered the controls are broken for me and can't find anything on the internet suggesting anyone else has a similar problem. I'm using a 360 controller (which is what I want to do), and if I press forward on the stick, I only move at walking speed. If I slightly angle the stick, I run. So basically I only walk if I'm trying to move directly forward. As you can imagine, that's immediately frustrating. I also can't use up on the d-pad to access the little quick menu for items and such. It just won't light up the slot like every other direction does. I can use all four directions while in the full menus, but for that quick access menu it just doesn't work. Please tell me someone else has experienced this.

All right, fair enough. Merus: I've watched recent episodes here and there (because my dad likes the show, apparently), and I don't think it's changed much from season one (of which I watched the whole thing). It's still the same dumb shit. But whatever.

I don't really care enough about this to argue about it because who cares about BBT, honestly, it's just a dumb sitcom. I was just pointing out that your assumption isn't really correct as far as the intent of that particular statement goes*. It's more about the spirit of the thing than it is any one specific event. Like, "hey check out these dumb nerds doing dumb nerd things, isn't that funny", and less about having a laugh with some friends at some dumb things you do around each other. *I only know this because I've experienced enough people hating on BBT to last a lifetime. I personally don't like it, either, but my distaste doesn't go beyond that. But when they find someone else who doesn't like BBT, it's like hoo boy have they found a KINDRED SPIRIT let's TALK ABOUT IT FOR AGES.
